  1. you all forget bout me? Ok finely got 30mins to myself so peeled the tank off again, and to answer my own question cos none of you lot did... the right nipple under the tank is the vent and the left is the drain... I have allways had the hose on the vent which I think is wrong it should be on the drain nipple... however I found the drain nipple to be blocked with all kinds a light gunk, screwed it out and ran a drill bit with my fingers through it, Ill check it drains next wet ride or next bath.
  2. Yes right you are with the cap vent port, so my drain is blocked but I need to know where the other end of it is so as I can back flush it? as above there is two exit ports as you might call them center under the tank, the right one having a hose on it which I think is the breather... can I assume the other is my drain? and is there the chance the pipe is on the wrong nippily port thing?
  3. yeah but... were is this hose, as I said there is only one under the tank but two nipples?
  4. Hey so, when I wash the bike I get a build up of water under the cap to the point it will enter with the petrol, when on the side stand there is a hole on the lower side but it seems blocked, the smaller hole at the back of the filler breaths ok and is attached to the pipe under the tank. There are two nipples under the tak=nk as I said the right side breaths but the left does not and has never had a pipe on it... I have to assume one must be a over fill drain and proberly the larger under the cap... is it blocked?
  5. well... 1st aint all Mk3's 850cc? The V11 should rip its nuts off, get rolling then wack the tap open and it should lift the front thats ya torque, well mine does... so Im thinking yours aint to well
  6. well ya kinda farked that up didnt ya... Iv always got my screans fron Eagle Screans in Aussie or Godiva in NZ might do one.

  8. i think its an improvment
  9. thats awesome man, is it GB body work, which I asume you fitted to a v11 rolling frame and added a 4v engine?
  10. ohhh yeah sure thing.... a dark red v2 by guzzi, hope that helps Ohh and the best ever Guzzi actually I have a sales blerb from the day here, what ya actually want to know?
  11. ahhh yes makes sence, with the extra time and money it would be cool to do... I was thinking of motor and gearbox/clutch transfer aswell but by what your saying its enough trouble just swaping engines over. And a little birdie tells me you have a 1000 4v in a V11... tell me about thatand please show me some photos? cos ummm I was just ofered a V10 engine
  12. so... as I haven't looked at a 1200 4 valve closely, do they have the same shaft out put as a v11 and how about engine mounts? cos Im thinking a 1200 in a V11 would be like cool banana's
  13. HUH? if you guys are hitting the rev limiter then ya not riding that well... by the time the limiter kicks in ya way past max power, ya wasteing ya time
  14. 45,000km and no real issues just ya regular Guzzi... sure speedo cable broke very early on, simple replace the guide as it enters the block, sorted. Flopy balance pipe simple to sort loosen off, use tie down to pull header togeather and tighten fork seals have gone twice but Im a dumb arse and am knowen to whelie, landing 1/4ton dont help thats bout it I think...
  15. nice, few wee extras there... the rocker covers, were do they come from?
  16. So just refresh my memory... the issues with the 4v 650 was valves braking or heads braking due to a lack of meat thanks to 4 valves? or was/is it something else?
  17. so at the end of the day what Im asking is do the 350/400 4v head engines have the bad rep that the 4v head 650 has?
  18. yeah its a jap import, bet we had them new here too, just thought they were 2v heads...
  19. hey check this out http://www.trademe.co.nz/motors/motorbikes/motorbikes/classic-vintage/auction-512612774.htm be it a thou over priced tell me if its a 2 valve head or 4 valve head? I thought only the 650 and some 350's were 4 valve heads?
