Magni had prepared the 'Gallarate Fire Engines' raced to glory by John Surtees, Mike Hailwood and Giacomo Agostini. Then, when MV stopped racing after winning 17 consecutive 500cc world titles between 1958 and 1974, Magni set up business with his son Giovanni to build high-quality roadsters from a workshop near Agusta's old base at Gallarate, north of Milan. Several used engines from Moto Guzzi, notably the 1990-model Sfida, a retro-styled sportster powered by the two-valves-per-cylinder engine from the Le Mans. Two years later came the fastest and best Magni yet: the Australia, so-called because it was a direct descendent of a Guzzi-engined Magni racebike that had notched up a string of impressive results Down Under. The Australia was powered by the V-twin engine from the Daytona 1000, Guzzi's fuel-injected, eight-valve flagship. Ohh and it does not and never will compare to the MGS, the MA is a 1994 bike, and Ill add there is a couple her in NZ.

Italy Fuel Price
dangerous replied to belfastguzzi's topic in Special place for banter and conversation
The prices in post #1 are about the same as here in NZ $2.20 as for US prices well the states do have one of the largest oil suplys in the world, they just choose to drain the rest of the world 1st so Id hope its cheaper there. *waits for a hiding* -
shit man... were do ya start, 3 very different bikes, each un compearable. Owned all 3 so perhaps you tell us what you want?
-
Same as the 04 I asume? under the alt see my avatar pic lossen the bolts at each end of the headers and balance pipe. force some sealent in and around the balance pipe ends. Get a tie down ratchet and wrap it around the headers and pull as tight as you dear. Tighten up all bolts and remove tie down. works well for 6 -12 months or when ever ya check tappet clearances and need to remove the alt cover.
-
shit Pete... would have to check but Im sure they were both 14ers, cheers for the offer. Hey, back when I had my 1100i sport the local guzzi shop (the only guzzi shop) wanter $350 for the wrench, wankers just didnt want people to be able to do there own work, so as I was just back form living in Brissie I rang Newll's (think that was the name) and got one for $35
-
well funny you shoud say that as I just did a replacment today, and the new UFI didnt fit in the factory removel tool got a feeling I will be needing to drop the sump when it comes time to replace it.

sounds very similer to a big/bottom end noise, but it defnitly goes away when the clutch is inguaged.
-
na, Im sure the single plate clutchs were not used by the 04, its made the noise for a long time just that its rater loud now at 40,000km... mind you its had a hardish life at times being used to wheelie.. I know dumb arse dangerous, rocks in my head n all, but you know how it is.
-
Well, I knew my clutch (04 LeMans) was a nocky ratley thing, as in when ya pull the clutch leaver in it goes away... took the 2yr old around the block (on the foot path) and with out a lid on me nut I relised the nocking rattle is quite bad now. Any ideas whats up? do I need to look at it or just rev it harder so as the exhust note over powers the rattle?
-
Ohhh it does take a bit, dont worry winding it on wont land ya in the shit, ya have to button off (so as forks dive)then wrap it... funny thing is I only relised this last year till then I'd been clutching it LMFAO. Dont spose you have looked into the production number of the nero? as far as I know mines the only one in NZ/OZ seems they all went State side?
-
Defnitley... wont ride with out em. Yip the V11 LM is a noisie bastard of a fariing HOWEVER, it does its job well and you will note this after a stone, the fairing does take the pressure of the body. I have a after market blade made in Aussie it has a wind lip on it and is even noiser than the OEM blade, BUT works even better.
-
Yeah I didnt mean the bike was a failer, the hydro set up was again IIRC a few here something in the head gear was to soft and wore fast causing the tappits to rattle like hell. HP I know is eleravent, some say shafties wont wheelie and neither will a Guzzi... but my nero lofts it up nice under power in 1st only ofcourse, keeping it there is a art form I should really stop rying to perfect (dumbarse I know)and as we know the V11 is a mear 83hp at the rear.
-
Which IIRC, failed... so all hydro lift modles were down on hp?
-
well seems ya do learn something new every day... ya 20hp less, naaaa all 1100's are rated the same 91hp, so went looking and bugger me, stone is 74hp. Why on earth did and what did MG do?
-
Befor I read your post I was thinking of asking the same... all very importent aye. So, I have asked in the past but seems no one knows... How many Neros were built? they are the very last LeMans to leave the factory. Mines the only one in Ozzi and NZ, I dont know why that is, most seem to have been intended for Euro and states, there are several Rosso Corsers down here tho. ps: and thank fark it stayed up in the recent earth quakes, one friend lost all 5 of her bikes 2 munting her car in the process.
-
yeah but, Id love a Griso SE farking awesome... but alas the centuro is 1/4 the price.
-
Ok so had my eye on a scruffy Centuro, I know ugly as but I like em. Now it will need some tidying and while its apart Id like to bring it up to RS Daytona specs 90-102Hp. Cos, its gota have more snot than my V11. Now I remember something about the cams Centuro with the A kit, RS with the C kit? whats a B kit? Other than that can I asume the ECU differes aswell, anything else?

heres some pics of the inner city, mostley old brick construction a acco waiting to happen... still sad to see heratage buildings over 100yrs old rewened. Most damage out side of the CBD happened due to liquidfaction, new houses being cut in two. NB: the train station clock tower stopping at the time of the quake.
-
Pitty the sites not english, is there a translation for it... and what use is a site with out a gallery, we need pictures???
-
na all good here thanks Gene, the goverment is looking after most of the homeless, in town most damage is to work places so theres a few with out jobs now. Theres a couple of suburbs that were hit hard from from new housing moving 400mm and tering in half to houses with serious sewage issues etc, but all in all things are being delt with. And of course theres a wankers of socierty looting, robbing from those that took them in, people taking food from shelters that dont need it etc, but they to are being sorted.

While a lot of peoples bikes arsed over the V11 didnt budge, spose it idiling emits a 7.1 on the ricter scale anyway. Went for a drive out the back blocks yesterday to were we are hoping to build, the fault line starts out that way, here is a picture of a road that used to be as straight as a gun barrel, and the house just up the road from it.. whats the chance a fault would run right under ya home... and no bastard died.
