ta guys, when the owner 1st looked at the bike the dampner was missing but it reapaired... which brand of stearing dampner should it be? And the side panles are missing.

Right guys, im asking about the Mandello on behalf of a old gezer i know whom just brought one. now is there anywere where i can cross match the frame number and engine number to see if it really is a Mandello? The side covers are missing and pod filters fited, the side covers had the production number on them did they not? Are the side covers carbon fibre? are the cans CF or standard black? what brand of fork, shock and damper do they have? Chassis ZGUKROOOO1M114544 Engine KR-014623 thats all for now thanks.

Hey all, ok the bloody balance pipe that crosses over under mag on a 04 V11... for the life of me I cant stop it leaking in fact its that loose it swings in the breeze. So I was thinking of replacing the headers with a diferent modle which dosent have the cross over, can this be done and will it cause any issues. Also, were is the best (cheapest) place to get new headers from? Or any other ideas on a fix would be great thanks.

Weeee heeeeeeeeeeee... all sorted thanks to a mate (user Lemans I think) Yip it was that pawl spring and what ya know my mate had a spear in the tool box. ohhhh and thanks for the advice/help. PS: my bike is a 04 and it had a plate held on by a screw over the cogs... dont try and undo the screw you will only fuk it, release the bolt on the outside of the casing

Yip they have, and last night I started pulling it apart, not inside yet but the starter etc is off, I notice now that the leaver does move in bothe directions just dosent select, so its looking like the pawl.

yeah a few have said... but aparently when that spring brakes the leaver should still move, mine only moves down and is solid as to move up. Ill check this spring out after work today, heres hoping aye.

Well its not lost as such its still in the bike.. I think. Now no signs of problems till I went to leave a stop sign and it would only go as far as 2nd, then wouldnt budge but finely went into 1st where its stayed ever since. No neatural the leaver just moves down and wont budge up, locked in 1st. WHATS GONE WRONG

Now the widow of one of the dead Guzzi rider wants a head stone carved of his 98 Daytona engine, but her artist needs more detailed pictures to go by... what you lot got out there that can be of help? mainly a straight on pic.

Same, the email made it to New Zealand. So either there was a hacker on the job, or there s a thread somewere thats gone of topic. Now I help run a couple of local forums... this sort of problem comes up all the time, rather than penalise all members for the actions of one or two shit heads... ya warn them if that dosnt work ban em for a month.

well used ether (engine start) and sprayed it all round the inj unit and manifolds... nothing, left it idling for 10min no problems so Ill just see how it goes on a big haul this w/e, off to a awesom bike rally, thanks for the help guys.

ok ta, ill look a bit closer for a air leak... dont know why the Inj body has a clicking type sound tho?

no all good as are the valve clearances etc, just been for another ride and all seemed ok till I got home, the longer it idled for the noiser the clatter in the left throtle body got and the idle went up 2-300rpm???

Just been for a 1hr spin, comming down from the hills and the engine started to do little backfires even between 1st and 2ng gear... only did that once tho kinda came right but still with the odd backfire. BUT... when I got home the idle had raised somewhat and comming from the left hand throtel body was a loud ticking, clacky sound the sound went away for a couple of seconds and the revs droped back to were they should be... then the noise came back and the idle went up. what the hells going on in there people?

Duno just picked the bike up at 8:30 pm from the shp and bolted, off in a sec to the national Buell rally with the missus. From the little he said when I jumped on and did a runner the units wernt in sinc wit each other, tell ya what it runs beter than it ever has... ill find out more when I pay the bill after the w/e away.

Sorted turns out the problem was the injection units being out of wack, reset and alls good.

Cant find the bloody thing Kev... been through all my old info and nada Yeah I know Pete... but ummm, the thing is that was a while ago and the memory isnt what it used to be. I cant remember, top left is ? iti lingo L is ? and R is? and clearances... at a guess 1mm and 1.5mm?

6 yrs ago I brought my 1100i sport, I learned how to set the tappits myself, 4yrs ago I brought a VTR1000 and never needed to set anything, 2yrs ago I went back to MG... brought the V11 nero Corsa, and for those 2yrs the shop has done my maintance. However the warantee is now up so I might as well go back to servicing the bike myself. Fill in the blanks please people, whats the clearances? which markings on the flywheel do I use for which cyl's? rotate the crank which direction? anything else I need to know? cheers ya all

yeah ta Ill check the intake rubbers... Ive been there done the relay thing with both Guzzi's, thats not my problem. What are the symptoms of this TPS that I here about? could this be the problem?

04 V11 corsa @ 23,000km... ok so it has devloped a bad miss (similer to what they all do at 2800rpm) under 5grand not as bad over 4k rpm. I can here the engine often back breathing and hissing and a heavy knock when back firing under slow excelaration, the bike is back firing a lot, not loud but wee crackels (after market pipes but not loud) sometime you get this with a leak in the pipes but Im all good. WHAT ya all reckon my problem is?
