  1. yeah man... so why did MG delet that hole in the V11's? bloody vino drinking pizza eaters
  2. I have tried and tried to get in there even with the wheel out, just aint going to happen?
  3. Ok so, I have never greased the front uni joint on the 04 V11 corsa... and at 20,000km I am realy wanting to do it. Bloody Guzzi in all their wisdom have put a steal cover over it so its inpossible to get at (even with wheel out) Now on my 1100S I could remove the rear brake slave and get in through a wee gap... but the V11 does not have this. So, heres what I was thinking... drilling a hole in the cover in order to get acess to the grease nipple, anyone tried this or have any beter ideas?
  4. Welcome to V11LM ma man, I cant see how it will take 3 months i was tole 2 weeks for a screen to arive yesterday, stir ya dealer up hes not up with the play.
  5. A mate on the local kiwibiker forum has a 04 Ballabio that has just shat its self in a big way, its only done 6900 non thrashed ks and the cam and a number of other bits are badly pitted Not 100% sure but it seems that the oil pump was a mess and lack of oil cased the cam to fail plus a follower jammed in the head. I havent heard of such a failure... what do you guys know?

    Aussie help

ok 1st up any one know why I cant post on Guzzi Exchange? Now so just finished a big ride to the bottom of NZ for a rally in the Catlins... but on the way down I had some trouble with the low flying locals, a bloody Magpie went through my fairing blade, and I know that parts etc are a lot cheaper over yor way. So can some one or some ones please make a phone call to ya local dealer and price me up a fairing blade for a V11 LeMans (nero corsa) Post up the result along with a contact and number for the shop... cheers for that. Darryl D
  8. So why do they have the link pipe then? what you are saying is that theres no ned for it hence why you reconmend these new stainless jobs? could be keen aye.
  9. Cheers for that, didnt think about earler headers... then again I was hopping for a cheaper fix.
  10. Ok, so anyone have any ideas... the crosover (04 in front of engine) pipe/header link leaks some thing wicked, I have tried new gasgets and re tightening the bloody thing but it still leakes. It has slowley got worse and the back firing is now pissing me off. is there a fix for this minor problem of mine???
  11. thanks for the info Paul, will look into it... but the tank might be taking it a bit too far
  12. The Roso Mandelo has a carbo fibre mount for the taco and speedo, is it worth me buying one or is there a after market brand that will work out cheaper? The Sport Cafe has CF side covers, once again should I order some from NG or is there a after market brand? I havnt seen a CF hugger on a v11 yet, are they avilble anywere? all these goodies will match my frount guard and the two tone marking of the Nero Corsa, so help me out here and spend a little dosh on the beastie over the colder months.
  13. 04 V11, the throttle body on the right side, underneath is a spring and shaft.. well its gone all bronzie looking which tells me its been leaking for a while, however now theres fuel drops on it and its stained the casings were it drips off to. So, whats this mean? is there a seal in there that lets go or is something rooted?
  14. Well I know I cranked a few of you Yankie doolittles up, but I believe the bike posted up in this thread in the US is not a Munro owned bike, its way to shiny for Burt and asfar as the DOHC comments it never happened. Now I just scored me a copy of the movie on DVD and it includes real time footage of Burt, and interviews etc, I was amazed how close to the movie Munro is... only thing Hopkins didnt get right is the age as far as looks goes... Munro was looking much older than Ant in the movie.
  15. OK, well I dont get it... theres the missus Buell XB12R in the garage next to my v11... the pegs are the same swapinng them around would make no difference, anyone cear to explain?
  16. thanks guys, as soon as I'm able to get to the bike (surounded by race bikes) Ill check out that wiring, sounds about right
  17. 04 V11 not a year old yet and the neautral light is often not comming on in neautral, which means as soon as the side stand goes down, it cuts the engine. Ideas please on what the problem might be, and has this happened to anyone else?
  18. I recently replaced my orange lenses with the Buell smoked ones aswell, but I had to get some orange plastic covers to slide over the bulbs as I cant find 10w bulbs in orange... end result is they look a bit redish when flashing. I would have prefered to swap the hole inners but you cant buy just that, its either the lense or compleat indercator.
  19. Just have to but in here and say... awesome pic Allan, my 2 fav bikes and what a sweet back drop too
  20. yes true I ment the L bars ofcourse and the racks differ eg distance between conecting points they are numbered 10,12,14 etc the MG is a size 14
  21. Ummm... the racks are all different athe MG is rather a wide rack and the Buell narrow so they wont be able to be swaped over. The Ventura you guys mention is the NZ made setup aye? I'm impressed that its spread around the world so far, its about all we use here.
  22. Not born yet I'd say... gees you yanks want every thing don't ya well send the forker home, woundered were he got too
  23. Well ya see... it has just come out on DVD here so I nabed a copy and watched it last night aswell. That cheesy comment is the Kiwi way back then and down south it still is, I would think that Burt was just like he was pertrailed in the movie. Like I have said before... its SO Kiwi, I understand if you yankie types and some others wouldnt get it or think it for reall, our lifestyles are so different... but watching the Vid last night did bring a tear or two to my eyes, Why? because it so reminded me of my Dad and the way things were back then... the sayings and body language is awesome and KIWI
  24. hey thanks guys, I havn't had a chance to look at the bike yet as I've been to busy blowing up and racing buckets... ohh and buying new bikes (82 Kat too race)
  25. sort of..... feels bout right how ever the bike drops very little when my weight goes onto it, but if I reduce the preload... just dosent feel good. Hey thanks for that, when I get the chance I'll look into it
