  3. nice, ok so tomorow when I get home and have feed the, boys, chickens, pig and dogs... Ill grab a beer and hed to the garage and remove the shock res and starter cover, Ill await further info... which relay is the starter one? power goes from that to the starter aye?
  4. yeah im thinking starter or solinoid of... how do I check these ie power to ?
  5. farking bloody Iti's ok fully charged 3mth old batt, all fuses and relays checked... pump primes on power up... BUT push starter and a relay clicks and THATS ALL???
  6. Hiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiii John
  7. you silly poor bastard ;-)
  8. whats this colection I here of?
  9. LOL... yeah regular fluid chaqnge is good but... I just did my clutch fluid for the 1st time in 50k 10yrs... it was fine changing it made the slave seal to fail.. the brake fluid I just did to... helps that its used regulary
  10. ohh man bring the XB Buell into the equasion... 12R in the garage with the V11, now it pokes 20 more HP than the V11 but the torque comes on so fast ya hit the hp and that gone just as quick, ya soon run out a gears, round a short track or the tight n curleys yes, the V11 beter on a long track even tho it has less hp... figer that one out PDoz, farking cold her in sept, tho I do have my 1st rally of the season then... a mate and a few of his cobbers are comming over from perth in Nov to do a circute of the south Is. I did Bris to Sydney in a day 11hrs by memory, could a done it again... but believe me 500k in NZ and ya rooted, its hard going. Never had the stock cans on the V11, always had neptunes a local made pipe, so cant comment on how it affects the performance, but with the cans off FARK reckon its twice as quick of the mark but soon runs out a puff... try this link https://www.facebook.com/darryl.dawson.54/videos/10153462687615833/
  11. well on paper is one thing imo often reality another, ie on the track is different to around the hills, torque is going to squrt you from corner to corner the high HP bike will still be trying to wind up
  12. easy... give me torque over power any day, look at the Guzzi, shit if a torque bike gets the start on a high HP bike and it should... a decent rider should keep that lead
  13. with any luck your local brake/clutch shop should have the right size seals, they did have my slave seals $10 the replacement unit was going to be $400
  14. the master... on the handle bar?
  15. Ok man, as I just posted in the thread "case of the..." sus that info out 1st then get back to us here and we shell dismember the arse end. All went very well and easy, back to basics it was cheers Carlos.
  16. hmmm well dont jump to conclusions aye. My problem was just that I was loosing fluid over a few hundie KM, clutch operation never failed. So look at your master on the bar 1st, was eisier to replace those seals than the slave. Now if no luck head over to the other thread of mine you posted on and we shell talk. PS, I doubt clutch fluid could make it into the fly wheel, yeah I thought the same but in reality it would take a lot of fluid as it has to pass the length of the box to get there, and providing its not blocked... There is a drain hole that lost fluid should get out if the seals have failed, the lost fluid will land on the cross over box of the exhaust below, mine did however only show this once, as we are talking about such little fluid it just seems to get lost in dust wee corners of the casings etc.
  17. all right ALLRIGHT... Jerry jerry jerry... now ya gone and started the topic off topic LOL having had the CX... A, B, D, E and TC... Id like to say BOLLICKS Na I have heard over seas there have been cam chain issues BUT both my A and B did 100,000+km the B even blew a water pump seal ran out of water and I still rode it in the red at 100+km for 35oK's and all it did was warp the rear casing The E eurosport yeah auto cam chain tensioner chewed it up 2 times The TC turbo gave it death and never had any issues Ohh and with that bloody water pump seal going on the B 20mins and me and Id have the engine on the bench ready to change that bloody seal HEY remember you did start it LMFAO
  18. thats a bit harsh Phil... I would a just said... If ya like ya bike fix it, if it means nothing to you trade it in ps: cant help with the clutch issue sorry
  19. a ferrious goose rear, well the bike is down here, but seems the red chops were used on a few others... ohhhh rare they have faded well, its the rocker covers that are pink the right bearly that so if I have to paint the covers ill have to match the chops. Rather an importent part of the bike these chiops aye, hold the hole bloody thing togeather, lower sub rear sub the arm and the spine.
  20. dangerous

    pork chops

    pork chops anyone?
  21. ohhh who let the aussie in...
  22. GOT the wee bastard... broken seal in the slave, and the other worn... now its $400 for a new slave and none in NZ so a local work shop cleaned it up and replaced the seals all for $10 Now Im thinking there was no sign of leakage even tho there is a small channel for it to get out as it was such a small amount and dust dried it up quickly. NOW to see if I can remember how to put it all back together.
  23. is what Im kinda thinking zoot... taped the leaver in over night thinking it would have any seals under presure, no external leak at all.
  24. Is it possable... that a wearing clutch will use fluid to take slack, ok like when ya car brakes were you need to top up fluid, put new pads in and ya have to push the pistons in and remove fluid before it over flows??? Just that its all dry as a dry thing around the slave, ill finely have it out tomorow so ill let ya know...
  25. well I do mine every winter, regardless of milage... that way sitting in the cold damp garage wont bother it and any moisture in the old oil is gone and its ready for summer
