  1. Thanks guys- Yes, Greg, I meant the shop... always interested in seeing a Guzzi shop when I am travelling, and figured this one would not be one to miss. Thanks for the map - looks like a bit of a trek... but if I could snag a train, maybe not so bad.
  2. Hi folks. My wife and I will be going to Amsterdam in September. I was just wondering how far outside of Amsterdam Teo Lamers is, and whether it is easy to get to, etc. Thanks in advance.
  3. Besides... we can't post on wildguzzi today the site seems to be down! Cheers Bill!
  4. PM me - I went to Law School in California and still have a few friends out there that do the Personal Injury stuff. I would be happy to refer you to them if you would like.
  5. I like it!
  6. Thanks Ben!
  7. Have any of you dealt with Moto Max -- buying from them online? If so, about how long would you expect it to take for me to receive some small items (accessories) in the states? Thanks.
  8. Here is a link with reference to the one that went over a million miles, but not the link to the actual discussion of that bike... still looking for that. http://wildguzzi.com/forum/index.php?topic=1198.0
  9. I'll try to see if I can find the link to it... but there was a post on WildGuzzi in the last month about a Convert that had (no joke) over 1,000,000 miles on it
  10. This is a post from the WildGuzzi site -- Greg Field of MI says: Just about all the V11s we had are gone. We have 2 Ballabios, 1 V11 Sport, and 4 Cafe Sports left out of a huge pile of them. Piaggio offered a good price, and we bought them. We're out of Brevas 750s, too. Many Nevadas left. cause Dave keeps buying every one offered. Seems like everyday a truck pulls up and drops off more. Everytime that truck stops, I keep thinking we'll see a Griso—they said they have shipped two to us—but I guess they must all have been shipped by wagon train to the West Coast. Maybe we'd get faster service if we changed the name of the shop to MPH West? http://wildguzzi.com/forum/index.php?topic=4282.0 About 3/4 way down the page.
  11. My wife is tiny - about 5'0" and 105 lbs... on long rides she is a little sore, but she has not complained sliding forward on the seat. She does prefer that I sit back farther (than I do when I am alone) on the seat so I am closer to her, since she is on the raised portion of the seat, and that has not been a problem for me -- except at stops (and that is because I am only 5'8" and I need to be close to the tank to have both feet on the ground). I have remedied this situation by buying her her own Guzzi -- the 1982 V50 III! Guzzi family!
  12. Great- thanks Martin!
  13. Howdy folks- Not too long ago - maybe 3 or 4 months ago - I saw a pic posted here of a Coppa Italia with a LeMans fairing. A couple questions> 1) does anybody have a link to it -- I can't seem to find it. 2) if I were to want to acquire one, how would I go about it (I understand this might be a multi-step process). a) Where could I buy a fairing How would I go about matching the paint colors/scheme c) etc. Thanks in advance.
  14. Tried max moto? http://www.maxmoto.co.uk/moto_guzzi_breva_helmet.shtml Looks like the one you are after... a bit pricey, but if it is the one you want... it's the one you want! Plus they say for an extra 15 they ship to the US. Here is the MG race jacket -- says available in XXL http://www.maxmoto.co.uk/moto_guzzi_race_jacket.shtml
  15. Thanks, Tom. That is what I figured with the pipes as high as you have them. It was my understanding, however, that there was an intermediate level of hanging the pipes... somewhere between where yours are and where the stock pipes are. Is that correct? Still have the same opinion (if that is indeed correct)?
  16. Does anyone know of the brackets and bags will fit if you have the MG Ti pipes installed (they are slightly higher than the stock pipes)?
  17. That was great! Keep up the good work!
  18. That was awesome- Thanks for the post!
  19. Don't know if they will do it, but Winchester Motorsports is an authorized dealer. It isn't exactly "close" but it is the closest in the area -- about 80 miles west of DC. 117 Hopewell Lane, Clearbrook VA 22624. 540-722-2688 Good luck

    Winter!!

I rode in to the office today -- nice. I thin the high was 50F this afternoon. Of course, it will be back down to about 35 for my ride home.
  22. Love mine -- had it since September -- bought it new (30 miles on it). Barely have it broken in now. Waiting for a missing mounting bracket then the Ti pipes go on. Congrats on a great choice of rides. I hope you enjoy yours as much as I nejoy mine.

Welcome to the forum! My first bike was a ratty old Honda CM450 which I dumped and then got a Seca II. That bike was a lot of fun -- but a total PITA... I think I went through 3 chains. So glad the Guzzi is a shaft.
  24. Also, make sure that you are actually in neutral and not in between gears.
