  1. Hal- Can you post a couple pics of yours (from different angles) on the site?
  2. Ahh- Hadn't thought that far ahead yet. This is what MG Cycle shows on their website. Doesn't look like it runs the entire length of the pan, but I could be wrong. And I guess any pooling area (water, oil, general road grime, etc.) would be a major pain in the ass each time you want to get under there.
  3. Substantial is in the eye of the beholder! The top case, panniers, center stand and chicken shit owner already do that.
  4. never mind... looks like they are special order... and quite pricey @ +/- $400 before shipping.
  5. Does anyone know if these are available anywhere - especially in this tri-colore version?
  6. Mike- Thanks for the compliment. They are the Hepco+Becker "Junior" series bags. The side cases are 30 liters and the top case is 45 liters. They also make the side cases in 40 liters. I am pretty sure you can get them from any of the GOOD Guzzi dealers, and I happened to get mine from MG Cycle (entire parts catalog is online) http://mgcycle.com/ I am totally ham fisted, and even I was able to do the installation by myself. The only actual work was notching the fender under the seat for the stabilizing bar - easy work with a dremel. Sorry to hear about your crash - but is sounds like you are okay and the bike is/will be okay. Sean
  7. I wrapped mine around the frame... tuck the extra length of the straps back up under the bag or it will flap like crazy in the wind. IMHO - the tank bag is probably more hassle than it is worth - especially for long trips, since you have to remove it every time you need to fill the tank. I must've removed and replaced that thing 200+ times on my trip to California and back this year. These pics aren't the best, but you get the idea...
  8. I know his most recent one works in the 2004 V11 because I've got one in mine. Don't know about the 00 and 01, but can't imagine them being different sizes - however, I don't know if they had the same oil starvation issue, either. Where to buy? I think he has shipped a few to MI and MPH, but those may be for their existing customers. If not, shipping from them should be cheaper than shipping from Oz... If they were for existing customers, then PM Pete and he'll give you the skinny. I dealt with him directly when he made the first batch. Got it very quickly.
  9. Dude- more than you'd ever want to know can be found here: http://www.v11lemans.com/forums/index.php?...mp;hl=crossover http://www.v11lemans.com/forums/index.php?...mp;hl=crossover I think the short answer is - NO.
  10. Wow! I am sorry to see this, but glad to see that he is recovering. Tom will be in my prayers, Van. best wishes- Sean
  11. A little better than 100 views per reply. What can I say - there are a lot of slackers here!
  12. okay... so if you go to the source, you'll see some of these CAN'T be posted here... it isn't that I MISSED them!
  13. Carl- You've got to know me better than that! I didn't MISS it... I saw it - I just didn't include it because I didn't want to seem too repetitive.
  14. V50Man seems to be selling the shop stand int eh classifieds section. http://www.v11lemans.com/forums/index.php?...mp;#entry147437
  15. variety is the spice of life
  16. I bought the V11 center stand from MI. I am hamfisted and even I could do the install. It was absolutely essential to have this when I was in Nashville, on my way out to the National, and discovered a piece of shrapnel in my tire. I grabbed it with my needle nose pliers and found this: I had never plugged a tire before, but I was really glad that I had bought a kit prior to my trip and it had very good instructions. PS: I have the shop stand too... but it ain't like you're gonna carry that thing with you on a 7-8,000 mile road trip!
  17. Thanks, Todd! Erin and I had a total blast! A couple pics of my Coppa Italia in "sport touring" mode as I traveled across the country to attend the National. 23 Days on the road, a little over 7,500 miles ridden. I think I won the longest distance on a Spine Frame - alas, there was no award Somewhere near Carthage, NC Some pics from Talimena (sp?) Skyway. West Texas is flat -- really flat! So is south eastern New Mexico! On Highway 191 near Alpine, AZ Angels Crest Highway Western Utah Central/south eastern Utah Colorado
  18. Good work, Skeeve. You are much more patient than I am - and you appear to have more time, too. To solve the numb-bum issues with my V11 seat (I am going on an 8,000 mile cross country trip this summer), I bought an Airhawk from Aerostich on Thursday of last week. It arrived yesterday.
