Hey Lotus - I highly recommend getting you PC from Guzzi Tech. Todd is the man there, they have all the maps for what mods and year your bike has. I recently bought one through them and am very satisified. It works very well.

I vote for the Diablo Stradas. I have 6K on them so far, good tires.

Its called "The Worlds Fastest Indian" - imagine that! See http://www.worldsfastestindian.com/

Motion Pro/Braking sold the the Braking business to Sunstar this year. Really, Braking in Italy sold the works to Sunstar, so Motion Pro had no choice. The new ads for Braking has the Ohio address of Sunstar now. Maybe Motion pro has some stock left, but I doubt it.

On my stock except MG Ti cans and ventilated air box lid Nero, I routinely fill up at 190-210 miles. I have pushed it to 220 miles. When I fill up, I fill it up to the brim, well to the metal ring that is molded into the neck. My light is on steady around 170 miles. Running out of fuel at 139.6 miles ? Man, I'd have the thing looked over good

Lets hear it for Sete, a good going away present before he goes to Ducati (from what I've read). I read today that Rossi denied ever saying he had said Sete wouldn't get another win, after Qutar last year. The announcers sure made it seem like this was fact every time Sete ran off the track. Gibernau for the win!

I used it early on, it covered up to $100 of a $150 tow to my dealer. I made copies of the receipt and a couple of weeks later I got a check. No fuss no muss.

Just don't go "Enzo" on us!!! Cool - I thought of an XB before I went Guzzi - enjoy.

Yes - the Ueno area is the place. I visited it back, oh 15 or so years ago. very cool spot. Multi level shops that have a whole floor dedicated to helmets, then another floor for leathers then another floor for, well you get the idea. I'd allow a solid 3-4 hours to mingle around, sit and watch the world go by. I bet the place is crazy with Rossi stuff. It was here I think I saw/heard an NSR750, the oval piston Honda street version of the race bike. It was a block away and it had a very different exhaust note. As I darted toward the sound, I saw the bike ride by at the end of the block, just a quick glimpse, so I'm not positive it was one. A rare bird, as I've never come across another after years of attending Laguna Seca and various road races. I guess I'll have to go to Barber to see another.

I had exactly the same symptom you describe. Below 20 mph or so you could feel the braking force pulse. It got to where I was watching the front tire from the side as I came to a stop, kind of timing the feel of the pulse and looking at the tire. I was able to use the wheel weights as a reference to where the pulse would be strong. Time after time the pulse would be at a similar spot. I looked at the disks, cleaned them, scuffed the pads, checked the run out, on and on. Couldn't find anything out of whack. With the bike on a paddock stand and the front wheel in the air you could feel/hear the spot where there was a tad more drag on the pads than on the other parts of the disk. This spot concurred along with my previous sightng during stops, but I still couldn't find a cause. Finally one day I noticed the pulse was gone, smooth steady braking all the way to a stop. It took 6-8 months of riding for it to pass. Where'd it go ? I haven't a clue. Maybe a high spot wore down down as Mike Stewart suggests. Unless it really really really drives you nuts, try waiting it out. I was toying with getting new rotors and all that, but glad I procrastinated.

I too have a set of the stainlass steel shims htat Turtle made up. I've had these in for 6000 miles or so and have had no loosening of the front crossover. It was a little bit of wiggling and pushing to get them to fit up, but they work great. The OE sleeves are a graphite/asbestos (yeah I know it's not but it looks like the stuff) kind of construction, rather soft to my mind for this job. If F344 has a set to give up I'd go for it, I recall $100 was what I paid turtle.

I agree with JRT, it doesn't seem to be a widespread issue. Far less than the tranny spring issue. But soft guides won't leave one stranded either. My '04 Nero is at 12K miles, and she's rock'in down the road sweeter every day. What neck of the woods is the bike? What price are you looking to pick it up? My - jump on it!!

I'm running the Diablo Strada's right now. I've got 3500 or so on 'em. So far they are doing well, they are keeping their round profile quite nicely, still have light turn in, were sure footed in the rain on the way home from work today. I'd recommend them.

I like the NEP brand locks, easy to install, cheap (like $12.95) available at most shops. When I installed mine I flipped around the tab that engages with the two metal cable elbows. I use it daily on the way to work.

Hey AJ, I vote for the Diablo Stradas. I've got 2000+ so far. Handling is A-OK and I hope to get 10K from the set.

I'll try to dig up the info, but I read about a shop in the Richmond, VA area that is a TL center, they do Ducati and Aprilia, I'd think MG would be right down their alley. Rats, what was the name of that place

I am one of the slab riders for my commuting (it is a flat, even highway drone more or less), but my light begins to glow at 150-160 miles, and I routinely run it to 200/210 miles before filling up. Just 2 days ago I filled up at like 209 miles and had to squeeze in just ove 5 gal. Yep, righ at low 40's mpg. This is a 6th gear, 65-75 cruise. OK, it is quite stock, MG Ti cans and opened up air box. But I don't see why upper 20's-30 should be acceptable. I could see that city riding would do it though.

25.4 is very low mileage. I've been getting in the low 40's since new ('04 Nero). txrider may be on to something. There must be something amiss to be using so much fuel.

I suggest an amalgamation with your, inspirationaly related, name. Make it the 'Cobblers'. LMAO!

Hi Todd, I'll be there, I'll look you and Pat Hayes up over the weekend, thanks for the heads up.

Hi Troops, this morning on the way to work I passed the 10 thou. mile mark on my '04 Nero Corsa. For those with a hint of "Guzzichondriatis" I offer my $0.02 of my 13 months of ownership. Early in Guzzi ownership (like several hours!) I was questioning my purchase decision, a tempermental ECU had me wondering what I gotten myself into. Read about it here: http://www.v11lemans.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=2654&hl= Thanks to those who offered moral support then, btw. I am happy to report that after this episode I have nothing detrimental to add and only complimentary things to report. Thanks to forum members I have done some precautionary things that maybe headed off issues i.e. lubing and straightening the speedo cable elbow at the tranny, collected the bits and technique to grease the universal splines without having to disassemble the swing arm, the "Edge Guard", disconnected the sidestand + clutch interlock switch, vacuum nipples, emissions canister, etc. When I swapped out the worn out OE tires (Metz. Sportec's) at 8600 +/- mi. for Pirelli Diablo Strada's I lubed up the rear wheel drive splines. I'm still on the original brake pads (front and rear), shift return spring, relays, instruments, battery, starter motor, clutch, engine paint, etc. I'm running the MG Ti exhaust, stock X over, ventilated the air box lid and aputated the snorkels / with a BMC filter, ceramic coated header/X over, mileage is typically 40-42 mpg. A PC III is on the list for the future when I get the itch bad enough. Like many others here who write it better than I, the whole feel/sound/character/experience thing is going full song. Here's to the tune to continue to play! (insert 5000 rpm V11 engine sound clip)

I don't think the 800cc rule will damage the show. The lap times might go up a tad, but with better tires by then, probably lower. Many predicted similar a thing when the series went to "diesels", but close racing by the best, talented riders will always hold our attention I think.

Hey Edge, I installed mine on Saturday, great job and well worth the $25.00, fit perfectly and looks OEM. I sent your check in today's mail. What a great source this group is! I highly recommend it to anyone considering on purchasing it.
