  1. Seems like a little too much air pressure to me. I'd drop two or three psi both front and rear, if it were me... On my Nero Corsa, I run 33f/36r most of the time with the Z6 Metzelers. No problems with wobble... The Guzzi owners' manual I received with my Nero Corsa recommends 2,2bar front / 2,4bar rear for a solo rider. That equates to 32psi front / 35psi rear... For two-up, 2,3bar front / 2,5bar rear. That's about 33psi front / 36psi rear... FWIW, I've gone from the OEM 180/55-17 to a narrower 170/60-17 rear tire and have been pleased with the improved steering response...
  2. Greg, Do you know if the older Veglias could be used as a direct replacement ? Just curious. I don't want to disassemble my Sport 1100 to find out...
  3. If not a cam failure, then it sounds like the oil filter backed off, causing a drop in oil pressure. I torched a Quota last year when the oil filter backed off and I lost oil pressure. Today when I changed the oil on my Nero Corsa, the filter was only finger tight !!!! When I installed the new filter, I tightened it 3/4 turn past gasket contact, then added a hose clamp per Greg Field and others' suggestions !!!
  4. I've got 'em on both bikes. I installed the plate on the Sport 1100 over a year ago with no problems. The Sports have a different sidestand mounting than the V11 Sport / LeMans... The V11's sidestands bolt up to the block, not a bracket bolted to the sump bolts, like on the Sport 1100.... I installed the plate on my LeMans Nero Corsa today and the two sidestand bolts went in with no troubles at all... A couple of the bolts that hold the upper sump ring in were tight to get in. A tap with a rubber mallett and they lined up fine... I've ridden the Nero in some city traffic today and the sump seems to be oil tight... Hey Pete, thanks for a great product !!! It's so nice to have vendors like you making limited runs of goodies for our Guzzis !!!
  5. Pit Bull or Oak Tree Depending on the circumstances...
  6. installed my sloppage sheet today (it's been sitting on the shelf for a while). everything lined up fine. a couple of the outside perimeter holes were a tight fit, but the sidestand lined right up. getting ready for a road test now.
  7. I'm running a 170/60-17 Metzeler Z6 on the back of my Nero Corsa. I like it.
  8. Ducati is noted for using Chrome Moly. Most bikes that have steel frames have mild-steel tubing for frames.
  9. Here's a big difference: Breva 1100 = wheelbase 58.6-inches Griso 100 = wheelbase 61.2-inches
  10. kinda cool... looks to have the same dipstick access as the Norge... I like the concept and the "Tenni Green" paint...
  11. Could it be a sporty bike based on the 750 Nevada/750 Breva chassis ??? Hmmm...
  12. I had that neck pain problem when I first started riding my Sport 1100 ten years ago. Basically, I got used to it / acclimated to it and it went away. I use an AirHawk seat pad on longer trips. Usually anything over about 250-miles. Pricey, but MPH has some cool bar-risers for the V11 Sport / LeMans that would probably do the trick for you without having to alter the bike...
  13. oil cooler
  14. I guess I need to demo a Griso sometime...
  15. While I don't doubt that the Griso handles well, it does have a 61"+ wheelbase and a weight of 500lbs+... Two thing that HAVE to hurt it in the "best ever" contest...
  16. Rode over to Tulsa for lunch Saturday to meet a few Oklahoma Guzzi riders... Round trip was just under 300 miles... I still had enough left in me to go out Saturday Night with a lady friend after I got through watching The Hogs get beat by Alabama on TV... Filled up before leaving for Tulsa... Filled up after lunch, before heading back home... Great day for a ride...
  17. From another site, and a dealer who is at the meeting in Scottsdale: It doesn't appear as though the 8v Griso will be available in the USA for model year 2008. No mention of Bellagio, either...
  18. That looks great !!!
  19. My Nero Corsa is so comfortable going down the highway at speed that I can't imagine wanting/needing relocated pegs, or highway pegs. 300 mile days are only two tanks of gas !!! One tank before lunch, one after. That's a pretty easy day in the saddle. You'll find that highway pegs will change your posture and put lots of pressure on your tailbone and lower back. Personally, the Guzzi seating position is better for my bad back than the "feet forward" cruiser position. YMMV...
  20. Does Erico still handle Guzzi ? They seem like a cool shop, although I've not done any business with them...
  21. Nice shots of the cutaway model. Interesting design. After being bummed about Guzzi all summer, this new engine seems pretty exciting !!!
  22. 108 horsepower and 79 lb/ft torque... Wow !!! And "hydraulically operated valves"... Interesting !!!
  23. Thanks for the pix, Paul !!!
  24. Buy an '04. They have the least reported problems. '03 would be my second choice. No '05 V11 models were brought into the USA. '02 models had horrible engine paint problems. I don't know how high you wanna go with bars, but several people have put tubular bars off a Ballabio onto a LeMans. MPH Cycles have a nice fix for higher bars if you buy a bike with clipons.
  25. Moto International. Greg Field has 'em on his Coppa Ballabio...
