  1. Not to long ago there was a RC fuel tank on ebay from a dealer in Atlanta. I watched it two times and no bids were placed, who knows maybe its still available! Pulling the pump assembly is simple, there are several hex head bolts underneath the tank and the unit comes right out. The rubber gasket is reusable and you may want to change the fuel filter while you have it on the bench. I know there is a BMW filter that is the same...on the shelf and cheaper. Hal
  2. That looks like about 115mi away for me so what were you thinking about, meeting in Wilbraham in the am or at lunch then a ride? Saturday would be a better day for me, but count me in. As for a route if we went up towards VT ( via 116, 8 or rt2) that would put me a little closer for my return home.
  3. Yes Wilbraham seems more central than west for new yorkers like me but I would be up for a get together. Guzzilee I did a 3 state 230mi blast last saturday (NY MA VT), Very nice riding in the am but then the cagers seemed to wake up and clutter the roads. All in all a niice day of riding!
  4. I'm surprised to hear of a problem KTM, I always thought they were very reliable and rugged. An 800cc Stelvio would interest me as well, dual sport riding here is big with some dealers putting on organized adventure rides. For the serious dual sport rider the BMW hp2 is a real weapon.
  5. Thats a great project, what a nice bike!
  6. Ol' Panhead of the Booze Junkies Don't ask me how a non drinker got into the booze Junkies...its a long story

This Tenni forum is strange! The green page always freaks me out.
  8. That would be the new Falgrisnorg sport
  9. Americade is mix of everything, lots of tour machines (Gold Wings) Harleys. It is an experience, thousands of bikes everywhere! I usually go up to walk around and check out the bikes as I only live about an hour away. I have always wanted to do the test rides but you have to get their early and stand in line to set up an apointment. They have a tour expo which you have to pay to enter, dealers of helmets and intercoms and the like. If you come up let me jknow and i can meet up with you. Hal
  10. I felt my bike always ran good , even with the stock system. The Ti pipes with the race ecu does seem to make more power but my bike was never rough or stumbled.
  11. I used the stock crossover and managed to locate a set of used Ti pipes here in the wantads. I looked around for a while and almost pulled the trigger on a set of Ferracci pipes but they were out of stock, then these turned up.
  12. Same here, went for the Ti pipes with the race ecu on a stock crossover. Very nice system, sounds excellent! Hey we should get together for ride sometime, i'm in eastern NY and head over Rt2 often. Where are you guys located? Hal
  13. You would buy a Rosso Corsa but a Coppa Italia is to "flamboyant"? The one thing that bugged me with the Rosso was the purple flags all over it....so now there gone! Sounds like you should move to the dark side and look for a Scura
  14. Yes they can, I have the teckno bags on mine and run the pipes lower much like the stock set up. hal
  15. I also mounted mine wih no spacer and seemed to work just fine. And Martin, mine also brokein the same place as yours, the welds were not very impressive. Hal
  16. I also have a rashed up cap and found these silicon ones on ebay, i haven't orderd them yet so I can't attest to their fitment, they are however red which will match my wires. http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/NGK-SPARK-P...108095546QQrdZ1
  17. Ok, I was setting my TPS and balancing the throttle bodies today and after getting all set up the bike wouldn't start. This really isn't new, I have had some issues with starting and attributed the problem to a damaged and then repaired kill start switch. Usually a wiggle or push of the on off switch results in the RC firing away, this time none of the usual tricks seemed to work. I removed the tank and tested the start button function at the nearest connector and all seemed well. For some reason through this process it began to work once again....on goes the tank, fuel lines hooked up ready to resume the balancing process. Won't start! Nothing! fuel pump runs relays seem to click but no starter engagement. Anyway to get to my question, could this be a starter relay problem? Has anyone found a similar intermittent starting problem which was solved through relay replacement. My bike is an 03 RC which has siemens relays. Thanks guys.
  18. Micheal, That sounds good, i'm self employed so with some notice I can shuffle my schedule around.
  19. Wish I could meet up with you, but i am out of town beginning early friday through next week . It looks like its going to be great weather for riding as well! Hey, hopefuly next time.
  20. I just use a motorcycle / garden tractor jack from sears. I made a block to slide under the sump and avoid the crosover and, jack it up and strap it on. Works well enough and for long term stuff you can still roll it around and get it out of the way.
  21. I've noticed a similar event with mine after longer runs, a streak of the strawberry goo on my bevel box but like yours it checks out as full.
  22. Those levers are fragile, some sort of light cast alloy. I think Moto International sell a repop that's probably stronger and cheaper than stock, Harper's also sells such a lever. I went to checkout a Norge this weekend and the owner of the shop was moving bikes around in the showroom (quite crowded with Guzzis & Aprilias) as he was rolling the Norge back into place after prying me off the seat his ankle hit the sidestand of another machine and down he wen! Being the loyal Guzzi dealer he was he managed to grow his arms 6 inches in an instant and still keep the bike upright until helparrive help arrived! It was quite impressive and probably saved one of those movie style chain reaction bike tumbling events.
  23. Hear hear! On the color of the sport how about black? I like the satin finish idea as well, in fact I think I should have done that with my Tonti.
  24. Nogbad is correct the resistors would go across the indicators as LED's look like an open circut to stuff like flashers, or you could install a dual load equalizer wired into your blinker system in conjunction with ypor factory flasher, they're about $15.
  25. I know I had the same problem when I put led's on my Tonti cafe bike, no blinking. I bought an electronic flasher at Chrome Glow? I think and wired it in just beyond the original flasher and BINGO! flashing directional lights! Nifty unit, small with adhesive stickum on the back to mount just about anywhere.
