  1. Well, you outbid me by a few bucks! Hey its a nice tank bag, and like you said where do get them? A few dealers say they might be able to get one but don't seem to ever call back, oh well I will keep looking. waspp
  2. I have wondered the same thing, I don't see why they wouldn't work and be easier than other methods. I have looked at them on ebay and am tempted to try one, but not sure about who makes a good reliable instrument.

    Teknos on Ebay

Saw this on one of my searches thought someone might be interested. http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/Moto-Guzzi-...075409222QQrdZ1
  4. The JB weld repair? Maybe found here: http://wildguzzi.com/forum/index.php?topic=4961.0
  5. Don't take the plastic bezel off unless you want to access the gears etc inside. The trip knob comes off very east , its held on with a very tiny philips head screw, nail polish upon reassembly. Don't be afraid to use a little glue on the ring if you do remove it they can fly off going down the road!
  6. The plastic silver ring /plastic glass pops off with delicate prying or prizing if you prefer. It snaps on the bucket with several very small plastic pins built onto the silver bezel ring ... most likely when done the pins will be fewer in number. I supplimented the reassembly with a dab of glue
  7. Leo Vince no longer makes a slip on for the V11 Good evening Hal! I am sorry to tell you that we do not have pipes for your bike. It’s a shame, as that is a beautiful bike! Thanks you for your interest in our products, and please let me know if we can help you in the future. Thanks, Will Schoeppe US Technical Manager LeoVince Exhaust Systems 510-232-4040 (v) 510-232-4141 (f) www.leovinceusa.com will@leovinceusa.com
  8. Fred, I have had similar problems on my 03 Corsa. The odo gears stripped out which was an issue since I used it to figure how much fuel I had left in the tank (sensor quit working). I managed to get one from Reboot guzzi Spares off an 04 Nero corsa. For the most part these ITI gauges are junk! I originally tried to have it repaired but Palo Alto Speedo couldn't help. Good luck! http://www.rebootguzzispares.com/index.htm...frame.htm&2
  9. I managed to get a short ride in on Christmas eve but as you have said now the ice and snow hve brought out the salt trucks...so time for some winter mods!
  10. Mine also came without instructions, and I ended up not using the long spacer which mounts to the upper part of the footpeg bracket. It seemed to work fine and kept the bags in a little closer to the bike.

    Hello everyone

Welcome Ozzy, You've got questions we've got answers! This is a good forum for gathering the info you need to solve those pesky minor issues. Scura is a great looking bike especially when its not under a car! Hopefully not to much damage, obviously your neighbor is a jealous BMW owner.
  12. Well I continued on my winter project (currently ahead of schedule for now), mounted a set of progressive shocks and made a stainless tach holder to replace the stock dash. This is my Tonti redo, going to a red frame custom street fighter look...so far so good.
  13. I usually carry a tank bag and also for longer rides hang on the Tekno bags.
  14. I believe Alex is right, you should be ok to use the race ECU. If however you choose not to and want to sell it I would be interested.
  15. Back on the dealer topic, my son went down to FBF and noticed a lot of MV, Ducatis but only a couple of Guzzis. When he asked a salesman he said they just don't sell. Unfortuatley would hardly know they sold Guzzis. The BMW dealership where my son works is exclusive BMW ...2 stores now and selling a crazy amount of bikes. He's doing all the right things, track days, cook outs, duel sport organized rides, and it has became a hangout for all kinds of riders. Buisness is buisness you gotta make a living and put some effort into it.
  16. I must confess I felt like storming out after ding a ling ruined a veterens day tribute with pics of Abu Grab Me prision but my blood pressure returned to normal and realized ther will always be raging, bitter liberals wherever you go. The Guzzi and bike stuff is what makes this forum not the other junk.

    Holiday Gifts

Yes .. if that were under my tree I would gladly accept. I checked one out at AJ cycle and really liked the bike, nice riding position and looks great! Very cool.
  18. Isn't that the new Sportster? I think someone just changed the color from black or orange to blue.
  19. If your looking for used parts Reboot is one the best, I have purchased a number of parts from Pete M and have been very pleased with the price and the prompt delivery. http://www.rebootguzzispares.com/ Harpers moto guzzi now has repops of v11 foot controls, very well priced and you can actually get them pretty quick as opposed to waiting just short of forever for factory Guzzi http://www.harpermotoguzzi.com/ waspp
  20. Well said Ralph! Another washed up celeb gets some attention. waspp
  21. Great, I just drooled on my keyboard! Very nice collection of fine artwork, especially the Norton...very nice!
  22. Iwould examine the kill/start switch and maybe try a bypass there. I have had several problems with mine and after a careful dissection found the internals coming apart, making an intermitent connection. I repaired it with a small nylon tie until I can get a new one...no problems since
  23. Ditto that, I can't see a filter backing off unless it was installed by a weekend mechanic as he was pouring over his owners manuel looking for proper installation methods and torque settings! Were these filters installed at a shop ...MI or homeowner mr goodwrench.
  24. I picked up a set of these and was very pleased, thicker than the originals (which by the way shatter like glass) and look pretty nice as well. http://www.guzzino.com/gugusqhe.html
  25. The braces probably help to stiffen the pegs. I think without the pipes attached to the footpeg brackets the footpegs might flex to much. It is a nice looking setup, I'd like to find out some more info on this one. waspp
