Great information! I have a spin-off question that I hope you can help me with. I need to use my choke to keep the bike idling. This is a recent development. I have a PowerCommander, that I have not touched, and the bike runs great, except for the idle. Can I use the idle mixture screw to set the idle speed?

I installed the pistons, oversized valves, power commander and bored the heads. No pinging. Lots of power. I have a dyno chart on the site. The bike is a great smooth ride.

Ratchethack, Thanks for stepping forward and taking responsibility for your actions. I'd hate to lose this forum. It is an excellent resource. There aren't very many forums managed as well as Jaap does this. My son and a few friends are getting ready to start a site and have visitied V11 to get some ideas about getting started, features, and content management. Their response was "WOW, somebody did it alone." They realize the complexity of the project they are starting and the regular work they have ahead of them to do it right. We have a really good thing with this forum! I know we think it, but we need to say it and act on it too. I am not as frequent a visitor as I'd like to be, but every visit has always been an enjoyable and learning experience. Cheers for Jaap!

Yes. I made the mistake. I use 87 in the cars and wasn't paying attention to what I was doing. Go 92 or better.

The wheels look great, but there is more to wash, and more washing means less riding.

I may give it a go. My calendar looks clear now for those dates. I went for a ride to the VA/WV/KY area - very pretty - when I got my bike and haven't been back since.

Me too! I took off work and had a 400 mile day through Maryland, Delaware and Virginia.

I guess it is out of the question for a neighborhood kid to come knock'n and offer to shovel for $10. What a swing in the weather.

Today was 70F and sunny, absolutely gorgeous. As I was leaving the gym the evening sky was starting to cloud-up. Weather guys are saying it will be low 30's when the rain stops tomorrow.
