I've seen a couple wiring harnesses and the two identical plugs were identified by one of them having a red band on the wire just downstream from the plug on both the main harness and the pump harness. Memory says the pump had the red and the fuel sender no red band.

Make an offer after you know it works. I'll send it to you no charge.
-
Brian, I'd be willing to send it to you no charge to find out if will work. If it does I'll take whatever you want to offer. but like Docc says it's a different color, I'd call it gun metal gray. you can have the sump cover too in grey paint if you want.
-
It's from a V10 Centauro.. I "think" the block and sump are the same as the V11
-
Yes you can I built a frame for better support...but don't try this at home, get some straps or some way to secure it.
-
I have one from a Centauro, would that fit?
-
To me it's the "don't look at me" factor, that thing is ugly.
-
Rox , I think your off base, did you read back where he said it's a Cliff Jefferies MYecu? So it's not a magneti system.
-
I see Chuck, and guess RK would have checked the crank sensor for swarf? Pretty sure the myECU would still use the crank sensor? if me I would try going back to an original ECU and start with the basics. The 98 EV was a pretty reliable system, no?
-
On the 98 computer box there is a trim dial in the housing, may be covered by a plug. If someone messed with that the ride ability can really suffer. About 1/4 turn in the wrong direction can make it buck stutter or seam like your running out of gas. It should run ok even if the TPS is at 133 but if you can't get it to the 157 number maybe your base setting is wrong. Did you set TPS with both throttle stops fully out? you can get the Fuel Injection supplement at thisoldtractor.com which can show you how to read fault codes that can be flashed on a small red LED usually under a side cover or near the battery. On the cal 1100 the red light was on the dash. one other thought and easy to check. The crank position sensor (right side of bell housing) can accumulate "swarf" pull it out and clean that off, there might be a shim or two under the flange so don't loose that.

Thanks for the price Pressure,I have similar from a Centauro, in nice condition, just in case someone gets interested I'll sell for less than that.
-
Thankyou for your expertise Docc.. I'll be sure to not sell to anyone with a V11. what I have is a DS from a Centauro
-
Care to say how much it cost? Since I have a used one I'd like to sell And could use some guidance on the value.
-
True but I'd rather know if my battery is charging over the oil temp, when is the last time you heard of a Guzzi with too hot oil?
-
A volt meter would be more useful.
