  1. Your EV, you could replace the 8x33 rear drive to a 7x33 from an older Tonti frame bike, all the 850's and the G5, SP and Cal 2 had the 7x33, I did that swap on a Bassa (same drive train as an EV), really livened up the fun factor.
  2. drive belts are superior to chain and driveshaft.
  3. Stew, your SO wrong but to each his own, my Uly was way more bike than any of the dozen Guzzis in my past. ps, bike shown is an XB9
  4. LOL
  5. Putting an 18" wheel on front would be a really dumb idea. Any good sport bike wears 17" rims.
  6. The regulator gets a ground through a captured nut, dodgy at best. Run a wire from the regulator case to engine block so you have a solid ground connection.
  7. A couple HD emblems would look right at home on the orange, just add a little black. Is that green the same as what you can see on some VW bugs from the same era?
  8. Just me personally but I think pod filters will be a mistake.

I don't think you'll find an outside filter set up...they are made for the big twin in the Tonti frames but not for the V11. The sump is quite different with the oil cooler plumbing . here's what the hose clamp stop looks like in one of those Tonti big twins, it will be different in your bike but you get the picture..
  11. The Power Commander is mounted in the wrong location . Your bike can reach better tune if you relocate it to under your work bench.
  12. Still Italian at least, a pic says a thousand words
  13. The fact that it has a wheelbase 8" shorter than a v11 and probably all the carc bikes too. And 400#. Traction control and ABS
  14. I got new to me hyperstrada.

  16. At first I was like " why paint a greenie?" But your scheme looks pretty nice.
  17. That is the anti tamper bolt that goes into the bottom of the Ignition switch or it's mount. Its meant to be not removable . They screw it in then snap the head off. It's not easy to remove but sometimes they loosen up and fall right out.. I once cut a groove in one to get it out with a screw driver.
  18. I thought the cure for the cough was to bin the stock crossover and put on a Mistral.. that's what I did and thought it was fixed.. sadly I no longer own it.
  19. Better yet ask Pete what happens if you ride it hard, do wheelies and run full bore up hill with out the plate.. so not knowing how it was ridden by previous owners I chose not to buy.
  20. now on ebay' https://www.ebay.com/itm/2000-Moto-Guzzi-V11-Sport/173880269948?hash=item287c125c7c:g:3R4AAOSwOT9cvQ4T
  21. Unknown history with at least two owners, no Roper plate.. not willing to take that risk having seen the other bikes he's selling, an Eldo sold a ratty SP project and a nice looking Ducati with lower fairing removed..I didn't get a warm and fuzzy feeling when there.
  22. I've seen it and could only yawn.. if it were a greenie I'd want it more
  23. Yes the starter from MGcycle will fit any v11 or Tonti frame big twin.
  24. To me it looks like a Bassa not EV. Or in later years (2001?) known as a special sport.. late to the party but what's all the discussion over what starter fits? Both the Tonti and V11 big twins use the same Valeo starter.
