  1. You can search eBay for sold listings but it doesn't have many V11. https://www.ebay.com/sch/Motorcycles/6024/i.html?_from=R40&_fosrp=1&_nkw=moto%20guzzi%20v11&LH_Complete=1&LH_Sold=1&rt=nc&_trksid=p2045573.m1684 But you could take sold prices from some of the other models and compare those to NADA prices to prove they don't align? I would also try and be a real thorn to the adjuster if you can contact him, explain how these bikes are on a collectible ladder and you planned to keep it as investment, show him a couple sold ads for a1000s as example He won't know the real differences..? Have him just try to find a replacement for anything close to that low figure. If you can't find one in that range how can he justify that amount? Also have you told them your riding gear and boots were destroyed too and you want pain and suffering money? You can work this if you don't give up.
  2. 68, Wisconsin is God's country, you should come for a Visit!
  3. Buy it but get a Miata for your daughter. You could spend that much setting up a good hack and you'd have a roof for when it rains. Plus it's safer.

  5. I thought the TPS should be set around 520mv at idle after setting the base line at 150. Memory sketchy but how are you coming to that TPS value?
  6. Yes could be TPS failure.. but do you have the original relays in there? Siemens relays have a history of going bad on Moto Guzzi's. Replace them all with good quality relays.. When was the last time valves were checked? Also check that the spark plug leads are seated well into the coil and plug cap, in fact I might even get new wires, the core can get wonky on the ends where they screw into the plug cap. They can also arc to ground.. could spray a little water on them then observe it running in the dark looking for sparks.
  7. My OLD Techno research never did work on the p8 so no surprise.. I think to change anything on the p8 you need to replace or re write the Eprom chip.
  8. I believe that is shot with a single camera called gopro fusion. 2 wide angle lenses record a 360 degree view then can stitch together in editing where you crop the view you want to see. I think I need one. https://shop.gopro.com/cameras/fusion/CHDHZ-103.html
  9. Visceral is the word I'd use to describe the V11.. loved mine.. you might also consider a Buell? My Uly coulda smacked the V11 anywhere. I'm in Mpls if you need any help should you but one before returning I could store it.. I won't ride it, layd up with hyper extended radial nerve, can't cluch with hand so stuck foot shifting in my Subi.
  10. A "V10" Scura, yes? yes, one of those why would ya questions... like my EVert..
  11. "For a V11 it is seriously swift" I'll bet it is, very cool!
  12. also be sure you don't have air leak at one of the intake manifold boots. if it's one side only suspect that coil or it's wiring.
  13. looking at a 2003 Sport with the burgundy color tank.. I thought the 03's had ITI clocks?, this one has white face Veglia's.. from the pic it looks to have the smooth black paint on engine not the bubbling 02 paint. what's a good price? if it has 8k miles, 2 owners, stock accept for mufflers ( chrome like cans, not sure what they are)?
  14. TPS not set right. it's very touchy, maybe it moved slightly as you tightened it down... go back to WG good advice there..
  15. I don't remember the bike and the link is old.. got any pics?
  16. Translation hardly makes sense.. hopefully it does in Italian.. "several connecting rods"?
  17. probably a hopped up G5 (949cc) w/substitute body parts?
  18. seen this? https://southjersey.craigslist.org/mcy/d/2004-moto-guzzi-v11-only-819/6625999760.html
  19. unlikely, just a guess but I bet the later forks are wider than the SP and doubt the calipers will match up to the rotors either..
  20. Scud, your probably a better mechanic that me but I'll throw out a little advice anyway. have you added a ground wire from the reg to block? I don't remember about my V11 but the Tonti bikes mount the reg (and ground) through captured nuts in a bracket, not the best idea for constant ground supply. white face Veglia tach? I seem to remember a dodgy ground connection inside the tach cover too.. your battery sounds good but tach failure was the first indication when my bike died on a trip.. turned out the regulator was not charging. I was a dummy then, got a new battery and rode toward home .. after another 60 miles the new battery was dead.. by then it was time to put Mrs fotoguzzi in a cab to get her home.
