  1. probably a hopped up G5 (949cc) w/substitute body parts?
  2. seen this? https://southjersey.craigslist.org/mcy/d/2004-moto-guzzi-v11-only-819/6625999760.html
  3. unlikely, just a guess but I bet the later forks are wider than the SP and doubt the calipers will match up to the rotors either..
  4. Scud, your probably a better mechanic that me but I'll throw out a little advice anyway. have you added a ground wire from the reg to block? I don't remember about my V11 but the Tonti bikes mount the reg (and ground) through captured nuts in a bracket, not the best idea for constant ground supply. white face Veglia tach? I seem to remember a dodgy ground connection inside the tach cover too.. your battery sounds good but tach failure was the first indication when my bike died on a trip.. turned out the regulator was not charging. I was a dummy then, got a new battery and rode toward home .. after another 60 miles the new battery was dead.. by then it was time to put Mrs fotoguzzi in a cab to get her home.
  5. can you just pinch the blade back to the engine case with a needlenose vice grips? that's what I did and the new chain w/sprockets slipped right in.. long ago but I know I didn't have to take off the blade.
  6. ditch the headlight from china and see if it still blows fuses?
  7. did you run a ground wire from the regulator to frame/engine? Normally the VR gets ground through captured nuts and don't have a solid ground that way.
  8. doubt it, did the area get wet? all the other odd stuff happening is strange.. make sure grounds are clean and tight at battery and frame, it's better to ground battery to engine block if it's to frame now. I don't have any reasoning but what condition is the ignition switch in?
  9. Oil light stays on = sensor bad?
  10. if you get a tank with two fuel taps you can use one for the return.. or weld on a bung to get the flow back to tank.
  11. Yes ditch the PC ASAP. it's possible to tune perfectly without any add on tricks.. get Guzzidiag and learn to use it.. or just try running first w/o the PC.
  12. stock crossover? I had that and fixed it with a mistral x-over.
  13. #1- how did you lock the crank when loosening the nut? I used a 2x4 inside the case so the crank counterweight could not turn past it.
  14. Green is the best color!
  15. I would suspect plug wires or caps on that side.. unscrew the plug cap from the lead and screw it back in to the wire, maybe even cut a small bit off so the contact will be new, if there is enough wire there.. or get new plug wires.. also be sure the plug wire is seated firmly into the coil.
  16. could the friction plates be in backwards? if I remember right the raised flange side goes to the rear/tranny side.
  17. It is a no reserve auction so if you were the only bidder you could get it for $5,750.. if it doesn't sell maybe less?
  18. A bit out of the way but are you really going to skip Lake Superior? I'm in Mpls if you need a shop day for your bike stop in.
  19. MV Agusta Brutale 1090 RR
  20. I traded it for a Miata in 2014
  21. the headers and exhaust is just ALL WRONG! boil your gas before burning it. and does that tank have snaps or buttons holding it on? shape of stock headers is a work of Art.. those pipes are "so called" art with a small a.
  22. I see your in MN, does it look like this? I wonder if you could have my old Lemans? do you know there's a Guzzi club in Mpls? we meet every third Saturday.. I can get you on the email list..
  23. I don't remember the steps but I used Smugmug and transferred all my PB pics in one swipe to a new smugmug album..didn't need any command lines or any of the tricks you speak of. I do have to pay for Smugmug but not much..
  24. get a set of relays from dpguzzi.com the bad ones were from Siemens so look at what you have, maybe swapped already.. I always carried a spare shifter spring in the little cargo space under the rear cowl of my '02.. never needed it but I heard you can replace it on the side of the road.. bring a print out of procedure (search this site for that) in there too with your minimal metric tool kit.. on trips I always carried a comprehensive tool kit in saddle bag, probably 10# of tools..
  25. yep the black bar is a camera mount.. not Guzzi but here's probably my best video.. here's one of my Lemans trips.
