  1. not mine and I don't know the guy.. Just posting here in case you are looking. if he won't ship I could possibly help you out in getting them. https://minneapolis.craigslist.org/ram/mpo/d/moto-guzzi-luggage-for-v11/6265639808.html
  2. it was under a tarp for 19 years, owner was moving so I got it for a nice price.. not running but the tank not too rusty inside and pretty much complete. 21k miles. left carb pretty bad ( parked on SS) I sent them to my friend Jim in Canada for clean up. I think I'll work on it over next winter. Not restoring but just get running for now
  3. I'm slimmed down to a DR650 and Boston Whaler . with CX100 in reserve
  4. Greenies worth 4 times the other colors, or is it because some actor owned it? http://www.ebay.com/itm/2000-Moto-Guzzi-V11-Sport-/222605924479?hash=item33d458d87f:g:U0wAAOSwR4FZiMDU&vxp=mtr
  5. I don't think there is, no OBD port on bike.. I have Blue Driver for car codes, works great and details fixes after reading trouble codes. sure would be nice if bikes had OBD.
  6. probably not the same as an EV airbox cover but I have a few (EV) if you want one for free.
  7. that flaw is a disgrace to what could have been the greatest Guzzi ever. I really loved my V11 but probably never buy another one.

    Comfy seat?

I'm 5'10, had a Corbin but I was too short for the fit.. if your 6'+ it would probably be excellent!
  9. I have some of the plumbing from an EV including the splitter, long pipe/tube from rear to front and maybe the rubber hose to front caliper.. yours for shipping if you need it.. Assume your in the USA.
  10. then maybe use the older splitting manifold from a T3 or G5.. experiment is the only way to know.
  11. just get the plumbing and M/C from a California like an EV1100.
  12. what are the "issues" you have? did water get in the ignition switch?
  13. OR edit the PC right into the trash bin.. these bikes can be set up perfect w/out the Power Commander. if it still has the stock crossover ditch that too.
  14. is the fuel tap fully open? do you have tank suck? (a whoosh when you open the cap)
  15. about the clutch slip, the clutch push rod has some cone seals that can let gear oil migrate up the push rod and get on the friction plates.. do you have any gear lube coming out the weep hole under the bell housing? there is a stack of o-rings to replace the cone filters and the friction plates can be cleaned insitu with a wash of mineral oil
  16. what is wrong with the original brown ones? that's how Guzzi sold them stock. or just have them repainted?. to me, the ones you bought are too gaudy..
  17. I've been tempted by a few nice VFR's on CL lately.. https://minneapolis.craigslist.org/hnp/mcy/6155441660.html https://minneapolis.craigslist.org/hnp/mcy/6141785765.html even better prices on red ones, I don't like Honda red..
  18. any square fin valve cover will fit. so, no problem..
  19. Hmm.. they don't have a cat converter just a big space, right?
  20. common fix is to add a ground wire from the regulator to engine block. the reg is grounded through a captured nut and can loose connection intermittently.
  21. maybe dumb but would the motor turn over w/out spark if the kill switch was on?
  22. and don't miss the Iowa Guzzi rally in Elkader.. one of the best rally's anywhere.
  23. you don't need to change it if you carry a spare.. :oldgit:LOL.. I wouldn't want to but it can be changed out on the road. Riverside, the future birthplace of Captain Kirk.. assume you know Jim Figgins? he's expert in Guzzi's..and one of the nicest guys in Iowa!
  24. What did you replace it with? Mistral
  25. big Plus ONE on replacing the stock crossover, my V11 ran so much better and totally got rid of the little hickup when cruising around 3-3500rpm.
