  1. Riding the Edge, Dave Barr rode a clapped out 72 Harley 83,000 miles RTW with two artificial legs.. definition of Iron Man. https://www.horizonsunlimited.com/davebarr/
  2. might need a small adjustment to the "trim", you need software to do that.
  3. no but he offered a test ride on Saturday. still I don't trust the mileage so keep looking, Nero Corsa anyone?
  4. Looked a little ratty in person. and like it was ridden hard.. I don't believe/trust the mileage either, the motor slightly dirty with oil. they should have tried to clean it up. I won't judge if the breather works that way but it sure looks funky. had bar risers that were slightly tweaked, maybe a tip over. rim painted and it's flaking off..duct tape around the headlight ring.. salesman says he's friends with the owner who was not the original owner. so at least 2 owners..again skeptical of the mileage. He doesn't have the airbox or any other pieces. It did have a roper plate ! glad I looked but not for me..
  5. I better get over to St Paul and look it over.
  6. this one looks like the header crossover was eliminated? is that an Ohlins shock? what mufflers are on it? https://minneapolis.craigslist.org/wsh/mcd/d/2004-moto-guzzi-ballabio-v11/6339035798.html
  7. I know most if not all the positives of a V11 but what are the con's of a 2004 Moto Guzzi Ballabio? I like the bars over clip ons to start, not too jazzed about the fairing way out front but could live with it. this one no where near as pretty as the 2002 red Lemans I had but I could live with it. one negative I've heard of is the ITI(?)gauges..
  8. apparently written in 2000 since he rode a 2000 V11 sport and does not mention the Lemans version at all.. plus he called it "new".
  9. B&W Sport for me too but I'd always worry when the dash would poop out and leave me stranded.. this one f/s near me, https://minneapolis.craigslist.org/ank/mcy/d/moto-guzzi-1200-sport/6294352560.html hoping to find a V11 Nero Corsa someday instead. or possibly this, XB9SX I miss my Uly more than my Lemans. https://minneapolis.craigslist.org/dak/mcy/d/buell-xb9sx-2009/6272830913.html
  10. Das izz zee plan. Just one more reason to ride a Moto Guzzi..
  11. I would never use such a thing.. get yourself the free Guzzidiag software and learn how to set up your V11 right with out add on doodads.
  12. LOL, eternal patience required..
  13. Minneapolis http://www.the-rocketman.com/Motorcycle_story/Minneapolis_TriCar2.jpg
  14. not mine and I don't know the guy.. Just posting here in case you are looking. if he won't ship I could possibly help you out in getting them. https://minneapolis.craigslist.org/ram/mpo/d/moto-guzzi-luggage-for-v11/6265639808.html
  15. it was under a tarp for 19 years, owner was moving so I got it for a nice price.. not running but the tank not too rusty inside and pretty much complete. 21k miles. left carb pretty bad ( parked on SS) I sent them to my friend Jim in Canada for clean up. I think I'll work on it over next winter. Not restoring but just get running for now
  16. I'm slimmed down to a DR650 and Boston Whaler . with CX100 in reserve
  17. Greenies worth 4 times the other colors, or is it because some actor owned it? http://www.ebay.com/itm/2000-Moto-Guzzi-V11-Sport-/222605924479?hash=item33d458d87f:g:U0wAAOSwR4FZiMDU&vxp=mtr
  18. I don't think there is, no OBD port on bike.. I have Blue Driver for car codes, works great and details fixes after reading trouble codes. sure would be nice if bikes had OBD.
  19. probably not the same as an EV airbox cover but I have a few (EV) if you want one for free.
  20. that flaw is a disgrace to what could have been the greatest Guzzi ever. I really loved my V11 but probably never buy another one.

    Comfy seat?

I'm 5'10, had a Corbin but I was too short for the fit.. if your 6'+ it would probably be excellent!
  22. I have some of the plumbing from an EV including the splitter, long pipe/tube from rear to front and maybe the rubber hose to front caliper.. yours for shipping if you need it.. Assume your in the USA.
  23. then maybe use the older splitting manifold from a T3 or G5.. experiment is the only way to know.
  24. just get the plumbing and M/C from a California like an EV1100.
  25. what are the "issues" you have? did water get in the ignition switch?
