valves set too tight?

If I have a part you need and I'm not using it, I usually say free or very low price.. I still have some EV 1100 parts, Flywheel, used clutch, block, timing cover.. .complete fork/triple clamps/brace/headlight mounts ($200?) and more, anyone?

If the motor is out, tip it on it's nose so the springs won't want to fall out. or use a lttle silicone glue to hold them in place. yes make a compression tool.

Too bad your changing the look.. to me no other motorcycle has such a muscle bike profile..

my Lemans (stock) had the same stumble at 3200 and when I got rid of the stock crossover for a Mistral the stumble went away.. I did not have the front balance pipe tho..

first I would load test the battery.

I do think there is a difference.. in the bottom plastic and you might be able to modify it.. or if it was only $125. you should be able to flip it and not loose any money..

as to vibration.. make sure both tires are balanced. and steering head bearings tightened to spec... also the forks have compression in one and damping in the other leg, some miss match in settings could set up some vibration? I doubt the TB sync would cause that much vibes accept at idle. note that the steering neck/frame bolts right to the timing chest of the motor, vibration is inherent in the design so if the motor is not well balanced you shake..

seat looks re-worked.. bars look really nice, no idea what they are.. if you need a steering dampner go for something after market. stock wears out fast. I never thought it was needed but the 02 and later have slightly less rake.. Nice looking bike w/low miles, good for you!

"One thing that really gets on my nerves is everything needed lubrication." don't forget the driveshaft, total of 3 zirks, front one is a pain to get at, a swivel nozzle will help. do it with the axle insitu so the shaft doesn't stretch when you put lube in the center zirk.

LOL! stock? maybe 75-80hp..

my opinion, throw a lot of money at it and you get small performance upgrade.. Enjoy it as is for what it is..

did it clean up well enough to leave bare? or would a guy have to repaint it?

is the throttle linkage returning all the way to stop? high speed lever on left grip turned down? has someone messed with the stop screws on the throttle bodies?

that looks like the Bomb! I'd mount that up yesterday.. make a video of the sound for us..

Price not bad especially in California.. If it's been f/s awhile offer $3500 but come with $3800. Just get it, you won't be disappointed. just a note, the 99-00 bikes have slightly tighter geometry- less rake, trail or wheel base?, they turn in quicker than the 01-on v11's..
