  1. if dropped, the frame to motor mounts (front below tank) can crack the engine case- inspect.. tank swell, see how the tank fits around the steering neck, is it even or offcenter, look under right side and be sure the frame tube is not wearing a hole in the tank right near the steering stem on the right side.
  2. NICE, I've not been to Colorado Rockies since 2010.. hope to go back this summer.. great pics!
  3. no I mean the air bleed screws.. I always just use one throttle stop screw so the tie rod was not under tension. Having said that, what JB says about the white knob makes complete sense.
  4. the sync rod is for off idle adjustment (3,000rpm or higher) set first then use bleed screws for sync at idle.
  5. http://minneapolis.craigslist.org/hnp/mcy/5062496506.html not mine just passing along..
  6. kill switch
  7. gopro mount
  8. Airhawk saved my butt for many miles on a stock V11 seat. tried a Corbin, too hard and you must be just the right hieght, I was too short at 5'10 to fit in the pocket. I have a set of new risers similar to the MPH bar risers, my friend who made them wants $200. here's the ones I had, they went with the bike.
  9. the ball just pops out of the holder, if it's stuck spray with WD40 first. check for a retainer spring or washer, I don't remember if it had one. good on you for considering the plastic nature but I never had a problem popping it out.. there is an expensive Benz part in metal you can replace it with I think.
  10. so the tank might be sucking and vents it out after you stop riding.. do you hear a swoosh when you open the cap?
  11. welding 4mm to the push rod? that sounds way out of line to me.. smething else must be wrong.
  12. the friction plates could be installed bckwards?
  13. if not the rubber boot to the throttle body being loose I'd to a TB sync, assuming the valves in spec.
  14. gen 1 fork has slightly steeper angle. ( i think wheel base longer by a couple mm on 2nd gen. )
  15. when my battery went dead the tach was the first sign.. even new batteries can be bad, get a load test free at Batteries Plus or any good service station.
  16. mark a center line between tire patches, use your plumb line droped from each rocker cover then measure to that center line?
  17. but you should look around/under the steering neck, if not centered there the frame can rub a hole right thru the tank.. (right side of steering head in my case).
  18. she left the Ex BF in Phoenix along with the job.
  19. still have a killer ride,
  20. sadly, I can not give it the love it deserves. and I wouldn't be riding it into the ground since it's not that comfy a ride for me.. I passed it on to one of the best owners I could have found who will give it just treatment. My daughter needs financial rescue after a bad job and worse BF.. family had to come first even if I have Guzzi colored blood.
  21. you could try a tire with a smaller profile?
  22. my take? it is such a simple design you'd think it will never work but it does! apply with your index finger, when you throttle down it slips back with ease. holds speed well, better than my Throttlemiester, Bobs wrist rest or the other flip lock I had once. there is a more elaborate version with a screw adjustment but with my grips not needed.
  23. I use this from Aerostich, 10 or 20 bucks.
