  1. You must have less than half the required amount of oil in your motor. The oil must be checked when the bike is vertical. that reading was after oil change so I have just the right amount of oil.. if checked vertical the oil line goes up about 2mm.
  2. the alternator is of Ducati type, it does not charge much at idle, make sure all connections are clean and good, battery and ground cable too. Idle should be around 1000 but the tach is not perfect. I check oil on sidestand and make sure it's half way between the two marks or a little higher.
  3. that looks like a 2002 just like mine.. the Lemans did not come with a red frame. the 99-00 V11 Sport had the red frame. In fact I don't think there were any 01 Lemans..
  4. sorry about that rain but if it were hard rain, 1" equals about 8-10" of SNOW. we can't ride in it. count yourself lucky...

    Lowered Pegs

I've not done any alterations.. I just don't want my feet wider apart. It seems like every solution has to bump the peg out and not the shift, brake lever. a clever guy might be able to mod the pork chop and lower the mount ?
  6. I wonder if you could find a Lemans (Nero or Rosa) owner who would trade the bars and top clamp for his (or her) clip ons?
  7. You should get one for sure! I have the standard '02 version and positively love it. Bulletproof is a big word but at 25k mine runs superb. I have heard the black face instruments tend to fail..
  8. Paul Bunyans bar end weights?
  9. wonderful pix and story. thanks for posting!
  10. probably fits but not with the 6 speed tranny.

    EV

Evolusion or some such, refers to the many upgrades done to the Call 1100i
  12. that seems like it might be hard.. I take off the alternator cover and turn motor w/a (32?)mm socket. CCW when looked at from front. Normal rotation is CW.. right? duh! yep, just testing.. CW is right.
  13. and I use a chest strap.. handlebar mount and other clamps.
  14. its where I mount the GoPro
  15. that is Mark Ethridge and I completely trust him and anything he's selling.. great guy!
  16. nicest day of riding I've had all year!

    Wild Guzzi

I too am missing all my friends there..
  18. Perhaps it looks that way because he had one of those tank bag mounts that you clip the bottom of the bag into it?
  19. I wish I had the kind of time he has..
  20. the filler cap is on wrong.. it should line up vertical f/r..
  21. I'm pretty jealous! can't really ride my 2 Guzzi's enough nor decide which I could give up for a Griso but I dig them Big time.
  22. I would think the sensor is bad not the map.. try substituting another sensor.
  23. If you go to Moto Guzzi Classics in Signal Hills I bet Mark has a spare ECU you could try.. then you'd know.. He's a great guy.
  24. one other thought is the cam sensor wire, right angled just out of the block. If it gets hot it could flex/melt right at the bend on top of the sensor and short out? if was completely broken I don't think bike would start tho..
  25. I'm sure MGC can tune a V11 but I don't think they have the ability to remap the ECU. There are lots of places that can create a powercommander map (don't know if CzDavec has one) but as far as I know Guzzitech is the only vendor in SoCal that can actually remap the V11 ECU. I'd want my bike running right before adding any of that PC remap stuff.. In fact my LM runs petty perfect w/out the PC.. the Mistral crossover was the key..
