    I've not done any alterations.. I just don't want my feet wider apart. It seems like every solution has to bump the peg out and not the shift,brake lever. a clever guy might be able to mod the pork chop and lower the mount ?
  2. I wonder if you could find a Lemans (Nero or Rosa) owner who would trade the bars and top clamp for his (or her) clip ons?
  3. You should get one for sure! I have the standard '02 version and positively love it. Bulletproof is a big word but at 25k mine runs superb. I have heard the black face instruments tend to fail..

  7. that seems like it might be hard.. I take off the alternator cover and turn motor w/a (32?)mm socket. CCW when looked at from front. Normal rotation is CW.. right? duh! yep, just testing.. CW is right.
  8. and I use a chest strap.. handlebar mount and other clamps.
  9. that is Mark Ethridge and I completely trust him and anything he's selling.. great guy!

  12. Perhaps it looks that way because he had one of those tank bag mounts that you clip the bottom of the bag into it?

  14. I'm pretty jealous! can't really ride my 2 Guzzi's enough nor decide which I could give up for a Griso but I dig them Big time.
  15. I would think the sensor is bad not the map.. try substituting another sensor.
  16. If you go to Moto Guzzi Classics in Signal Hills I bet Mark has a spare ECU you could try.. then you'd know.. He's a great guy.
  17. one other thought is the cam sensor wire, right angled just out of the block. If it gets hot it could flex/melt right at the bend on top of the sensor and short out? if was completely broken I don't think bike would start tho..
  18. I'm sure MGC can tune a V11 but I don't think they have the ability to remap the ECU. There are lots of places that can create a powercommander map (don't know if CzDavec has one) but as far as I know Guzzitech is the only vendor in SoCal that can actually remap the V11 ECU. I'd want my bike running right before adding any of that PC remap stuff.. In fact my LM runs petty perfect w/out the PC.. the Mistral crossover was the key..
  19. don't know about a dyno but Mark Ethridge at Moto Guzzi Classics is where I'd go in in SoCal.
  20. one other possibility, I've seen a bike that cooked the gas in the fuel line as it was riding just above the left cylinder and taking in the heat..the hose would vapor lock and the bike didn't run at all.. worth checking where the fuel hose is routed.
  21. battery terminals tight? check ground wire to frame.. sidestand switch loose? relays tight in receptor? ignition switch clean? if it has seimans relays I'd change them out. possibly the TPS?
  22. what is the other wire on there with the blue loop connector? another ground? the reason for the extra wire is the mounting bolts are into captured nuts which don't make a perfect ground to frame, going to the motor gives a better ground so if the captured nuts rattle around you don't loose the ground connection.
