  1. don't know about a dyno but Mark Ethridge at Moto Guzzi Classics is where I'd go in in SoCal.
  2. one other possibility, I've seen a bike that cooked the gas in the fuel line as it was riding just above the left cylinder and taking in the heat..the hose would vapor lock and the bike didn't run at all.. worth checking where the fuel hose is routed.
  3. battery terminals tight? check ground wire to frame.. sidestand switch loose? relays tight in receptor? ignition switch clean? if it has seimans relays I'd change them out. possibly the TPS?
  4. what is the other wire on there with the blue loop connector? another ground? the reason for the extra wire is the mounting bolts are into captured nuts which don't make a perfect ground to frame, going to the motor gives a better ground so if the captured nuts rattle around you don't loose the ground connection.
  5. seriously ditch the stock cross over ! it's choking your bike.
  6. I have my MBP partitioned to run windows just for the VDST program.
  7. If you still have the stock crossover I would bet money that is the cause of it.. I got the Mistral x-over and got rid of the hiccup around 3200 rpm..
  8. Air screws open to one full turn, and tuned per Greg Bender, Guzziology procedure. The less voltage at idle, the worse it runs. At 525mV and below it is unrideable. At 625 mV at idle, it still spitts and backfires, but not as bad-often. The more voltage at the TPS, the higher in the RPM range the misfire takes place (most of the time) At 625mV the misfire is at around 2800-3200RPM. Pulling the tank this weekend to have a look at all connectors-hoses-connections ett. etc. 525Mv is with both throttle stop screws all the way out not at idle ?
  9. they are lock tighted for a reason.. taking them off would be the last thing I'd do..
  10. if you could get a VDST hooked up it might be easier to diagnose. it can read out faults from the sensors..probing with a meter was always tricky for me.. If it will help I'd be glad to ship over my spare tps for you to test with..from Mpls it would only take a couple days..

    Tenni #9

    those are Hepko Becker bags.
  12. your right, or live w/it till it busts completely, that's what I'm doing..
  13. what happens if you move the tps to lower voltage say 450mv? sounds like too much gas is being fed for the speed of the motor. are the air by pass screws open a half turn or so?
  14. ps, do you know of this site? http://wildguzzi.com/forum/index.php?board=1.0
  15. yes, but the later models (cal 3 on?) have a 3" taller steering neck and longer swing arm.. the frame behind the triangle was longer too. so it won't have the compactness of the original Tonti. this is a Jackal..
  16. I have a silver tank for a 99 Sport. it has swelling and the forks touch on full lock. I'll sell for 50 bucks plus shipping. you could paint it w/out ruining your stock tank. got the rear tail piece in silver too..
  17. they did make a V11TT , I have a friend with one. I've not seen it yet so don't have pics.. it's black and silver.
  18. What a BUMMER to wake to that news..
  19. STUNNING! be (relatively) glad you got the Veglias. carry a shift return spring in case..
  20. I have a friend using Pentax, seems good.. if you have lenses stay w/Pentax if not Canon..
  21. NICE VIDEO, you should consider an upgrade to something like a Canon T3i or 60D for higher quality video to match your skills/creativity.. good editing too. not sure if I posted my latest or not.. first two shots are my GoPro and the rest is shot with my new to me Canon 60D w/Rokinon 8mm.. bump up the res on bottom right of window..
  22. thankyou! I have a NAPA 1 mile away..
  23. start with a load test to battery, sounds like it went dead.
