  1. I'm almost ready to buy those..from MGcycle. These are "Agostinis" from Funnily enough Agostinis in Italy. They sound better than the Mistrals I had on it (like a bevel ducati but softer, without the edgy crack) Ciao can I get them in the States and how much $ ?
  2. I'm almost ready to buy those..from MGcycle.
  3. could your tank be swollen from ethanol?
  4. get it!
  5. did you hose clamp the filter? do a search..
  6. the factory did not put any kind of device like that on.. you could just have a bad relay.. by the way the v11 tenni is not a 2004. got pics?
  7. nice and concise.. well said!
  8. sorry to hear that edge isn't here any more, I have those guards in place of the wheel hugger, like the look a lot..
  9. you should now take the sump off and put a hose clamp on a new oil filter.. and add a Roper plate if you don't yet have one.
  10. Both side seem to be against the stops equally. So should I turn them both in, say an 1/8th of a turn at a time until I get the desired speed when warm? no, back out the right screw, if idle is too low then turn the left TB screw in to raise idle. If you have a sync tool you can use the air by-pass screws.. if you mess with them with out a twinmax or vacuum gauge you'll get out of balance/sync (at idle).
  11. Lucky you! watch for me in your area, I ride my Lemans a lot in Wisconsin.. plus we go to Danbury where we visit a cabin.. and that color is lushious! do you want to join up with the twin cities Guzzi riders? we meet 3rd sat of every month.. and you should come to our rally AND GO THE THE WISCONSIN RALLY down by Mineral Point. I used to drink .15 cent tap beer in NR back in the day when we 18yo's had to drive into Wi to be of age to drink.. then we drove home!
  12. if only one side idle stop screw is touching, you can turn that screw in a bit to raise the idle..,Do not turn the white knob on the long threaded rod (left side),that controls the butterflies and will get you out of sync.. this knob is used to balance the butterflies above idle, with a vacuum tool..
  13. mine weeps oil around the timing cover (I think) I retorqed the heads thinking it might be the base gasket but no joy.. it's just a little weep and the level never goes down so I just ride it.
  14. try probing the same color wires but at the cpu box, they can be easier to get to, might have to turn the box over to see the plug.
  15. too bad your not in Houston, one of the best there, MPH
  16. my buddy Bones finally got ownership of this beauty, it was parked for 27 years.. Fired right up!
  17. I carry a spare return spring as the 2002's are know for breaking it.. have not used it yet, 22k.
  18. It's more like 1600 miles, it's 1,000 miles to the east coast tho..
  19. sounds a little like mine before I changed out the Cross Over for a Mistral one.
  20. but did you grease the driveshaft?
  21. ShoNuff! I should say "you can do it!" I had a few guys tell me that and that's how I got started. plus you can get a lot of help right here on the web. If I were a little closer I'd be there to help out.. we might ride Colorado again this summer, Winter Park and Longmont are our bases..

    are those Mistral mufflers?
  23. have you determined if it's motor oil or gear lube? gear lube has a distinctive smell.. if it's GL the oil additive won't do a thing. My bet is you have GL migrating up the clutch push rod and getting flung on the clutch plates.. this is rather common on 5 speed box, not sure about the 6 speed tho. no offense but after reading your posts I don't think you should attempt this fix alone.
  24. I don't see it mentioned but don't the Scurra's have a single plate ram clutch? my friend has 77k and is on his 3 clutch of that type.. I wouldn't buy a bike with that clutch in it.
