  1. would like impressions from anyone who's used these? http://www.mgcycle.com/product_info.php?products_id=2550&osCsid=9d76f9f0b79f9c4887091c756ebb097b will the HB bags still fit OK?
  2. down load service manuals here, http://thisoldtractor.com/gtbender/moto_guzzi_misc.htm#gtb_workshop_manuals___shop_manuals___service_manuals
  3. What makes you think those wires are causing a no start condition? maybe it's the dielectric grease which is non conductive. Dielectric grease is a nonconductive grease. As such, it does not enhance the flow of electrical current. Dielectric grease is, however, often applied to electrical connectors, particularly those containing rubber gaskets, as a means of lubricating and sealing rubber portions of the connector. The widest use of dielectric grease is in high-voltage connections associated with spark plugs. The grease is applied to the rubber boot of the plug wire. This helps the rubber boot slide onto the ceramic insulator of the plug. The grease also acts to seal the rubber boot, while at the same time preventing the rubber from becoming stuck to the ceramic. Generally spark plugs are located in areas of high temperature, and the grease is formulated to withstand the temperature range expected. Another common use of dielectric grease is on the rubber mating surfaces or gaskets of multi-pin electrical connectors used in automotive and marine engines. The grease again acts as a lubricant and a sealant on the nonconductive mating surfaces of the connector. It is not recommended to be applied to the actual electrical conductive contacts of the connector because it could interfere with the electrical signals passing through the connector.
  4. you can download a service manual here. http://thisoldtractor.com/gtbender/moto_guzzi_misc.htm#gtb_workshop_manuals___shop_manuals___service_manuals "Using a reading device (AXONE) or computer software (like VDSTS) sets the TPS in "degrees opening." I'm thinking the later years' TPS can be calibrated with the software while earlier versions, like my 2000, the TPS must be physically moved." on your Cafe Sport you do physically move the TPS in the housing but you can use the VSDT to read the setting, later models use the software to make the actual adjustment.
  5. :notworthy:I bow to ya, thanks for explaining! now I know what to call the engine dressing on my '02 Lemans lol
  6. I don't do FB but my video should be there, can you add it?
  7. balancing the TB's won't get to the bottom of the problem if your valves are too tight.. Start with valve settings before TB sync.
  8. I would start by doing a valve adjustment.. also do you have a stock crossover? some of the low rpm shake might go away if you get a Mistral, it worked for me and I'd do that before a power commander.
  9. could be you just need to balance the throttle bodies..
  10. Hello, I ride mostly western USA when I can get away from home.

    New Video

Youtube flags video with commercial music that I don't own.. then they don't pull it down but rather put their own adds over the video..
  12. laugh if you want but I covered mine with road kill..
  13. I think the trip knob is reverse thread. the internal pump is on 03 and later bikes.. earlier models have a pump under the tank.
  14. sorry about your Dad! one thing you should know, the oil filter is inside the motor, you get to it thru the manhole cover on the bottom, or better yet drop the sump and you can lock the new filter in place with a hose clamp so it can't loosen up and destroy the motor. plenty of searchable topics on this.. "what" you say? well that is where the dirtiest oil is so it does make sense.. for now you can just put in fresh oil and run it that way, I change filters every 2nd or 3rd oil change. if the black engine paint is bubbling off you have a 2002.
  15. I found the Mistral cross over was all it took to run better in the low rev area... no PC for me.. NICE bike! best color, you'll love it.
  16. would the 5 speed tools work? I will gladly lend out my big bolt, spacer and extra input gear (from a 5 speed). send pm.
