I read a book about lefthandedness.. did you know the experts still don't know why it occurs..It's not a single gene or it would have been lost to evolution.. one theory is a combination of at least three genes can cause it. Another theory is there are strong and week handedness in both right and lefties.. strong handers can perform somethings better w/the non favored hand. like string instrument players over brass or others that only use one hand to make the instrument play. and yes there are things the week handers can do better too.
my 2002 has none of those problems and I love her like none of my other Guzzi. forget what you heard, those were a few minor problems that got aired and fixed.. my Lemans is the most reliable and fun of over a dozen Guzzi's I've owned.. it does have bubbling engine paint...so what.
welcome newbie! I have a 02 LM too.. is yours red or Champa..you know gold?. I'm riding to Winter Park Co in August, probably on my Bassa.. is Montrose far? how does yours run? get an aftermarket crossover if you don't have it yet, you'll love it!
good deal but those brakes are poor compared to anything you've had.. in my mind not a touring rig unless you switch out the front end for disc brakes. I know the trader will ove the new V11 but not sure you'll be happy w/an Eldo.. the price is right on it I think tho.

my motor is wet around the same area.. I thought it was the timing cover gasket weeping.. the oil level never seems to go down tho.. I ride it w/no worries till I get the energy to fix it.
so do you suppose the in frame breather has a leak?
I have never had that trouble by just loosening the out most thread that bolts it to the tank.. could you take it off, tighten the joint then tighten to tank w/19mm spanner then hook it up at the joint farther down the hose near the FF?
do you still have the stock crossover? theres a couple aftermarket x-overs that can improve that stumble.. do a search.. no you don't need to re-flash anything. start with valve adjustment, then get into the TPS (do a search) and balance the throttle bodies.also find your way to guzzitech.com and http://wildguzzi.com...x.php?board=1.0
see ya there!
