  1. Ben, I don't have any cash now but let me know when you go to sell it!
  2. not me Rookie, I have a red Lemans, look for me riding out of Bloomington.. on vacation most of next week so I'll be through St Paul plenty.
  3. Diablo strada is what i have, love em!
  4. my miss was at 4200 but it went totally away when i put on a Mistral crossover.
  5. my 02 Lemans has the 5.5 rim w/ 180x55 Diablo.. I love the Pirelli's.. but should I go with a 170 next time? I'm getting a flat spot in the center from a lot of highway riding.. would that be reduced w/a 170?
  6. when was the last time you adjusted the valves? most of us do crack the throttle at start up, that's normal. the CPU gives it a rich mix at start up. the pump does not have a stop valve, the regulator keeps pressure up when running with the excess fuel returning to the tank, can you hear it refilling the tank while at idle?
  7. welcome back, It's about time!
  8. that happened to me once but the plates didn't completely break into two pieces.. would you say poor design or bad material choice? I just did a clutch job for a friend, 20,000 miles on a 1973 V7 Sport.. there was plenty of meat left on the friction plates but the splines were worn, like they had never been lubed? the input gear looked fine. He admitted to holding the clutch lever in at stop lights, that cause it? I made a special compression tool from a spare 5 speed input gear and a long bolt w/washer.. the alignment of the clutch was perfect and the tranny slipped back in place with ease!

    I never could

here's my son on my first motorcycle,
  11. I have most of the centauro parts but it doesn't look like the switch will be a very good fit, have not tried it yet... you should give the stock pegs a good long try unless your legs are really long.. I'm 5'11" and they fit me Ok.. the bar risers is a great idea, I got mine from a friend who made them.. by all means buy the Nero.. it's (in my mind) the finest Guzzi ever produced!
  12. my spring is fine so far, 14,000 miles. BUT I do carry a new one along w/a tubeless patch kit.. hope I don't ever need either. I need a centerstand.
  13. wheelsucker, two for one at the bar? how about someone posting PICS!
  14. I have most of the Centauri bits to lower my LemaNS PEGS BUT IT DOESN'T LOOK too easy to fit up// the brake lever has a bend in it and looks like a awkward position to apply brake. anyone have picsd of the Centauro pegs on a V11?
  15. if you grease the center zirk (the spline area) with the wheel off, grease will push the driveshaft out making it longer and the axle no longer aligns. so I had to take off the zirk and push some grease back out while pushing the back of the shaft in. put axle back on then refill the zirk fitting.
  16. yes get a photo! I found the front joint pretty easy to lube once I had the right tool.. from ACE hardware i got a grease fitting with a swivel head so it can fit up the cover from rear and then swivel to the angle needed to reach into the zirk.
  17. you should check w/Mark @ moto guzzi classics, signal hills, ca.. sorry I don't have the number but he might have the front cover (used) and some other stuff.
  18. sorry to hear that.. could you tell the insurance company that you hit a deer or something to get coverage? I'm in Bloomington, have we met? if there is anything I can do to help I will.. I have trailer, garage w/ tools and lifts if you need space to repair. are you on the local Guzzi newsletter list? our rally at grand Marais is 2 weeks out hope you can make it, Brad leaving for wisconsin rally in a couple hours.
  19. Now you should get the Mistral crossover.. that little stumble will be gone.
