    I'm in love

what swing arm is that? home made?
  2. why would anyone want a clutch that wears out in 6,000 miles?
  3. did you set the baseline TPS before bringing it up to 525mV? it should be 150mV with no stop screws touching then brought up to 525 with the idle screw. I think you did but just sayin'
  4. someone spent a lot of time and money on a hunch that would be funny?

    Metal Tank

before you buy the tank you better decide which frame, later tonti frames like the EV etc are 3" longer from the swing arm pivot point back and the steering neck is a couple inches taller. I think the shorter frame looks better and handles better.
  6. first, be positive you have 12.5 or better battery power.. a bad battery might read OK until you load it. Um, doesn't your bake have TWO batteries? maybe the other one is dead? I don't think a headlight relay came stock so check into that. Regulators have been known to crash but the bike should start if the batt is good. when my Bassa had a bad reg and the batt drew down the tach was the first sign, it fluctuated then died. also iit seems like there should be more than 3 relays? Seimens relays have a bad rep, get new ones from dpguzzi.com or an auto parts store.
  7. did you straighten the frame then?
  8. a spray can of starting fluid would work too.
  9. I have never heard of this.. the motor has always reved up when pulling in clutch.

Molson Canadian, the real stuff you get up there not the piss water in the US... and the BC bud beats california sensimilla by a toke.
  11. you may have upset the throttle body sinc when you turned that screw.
  12. the VFR is nice but you'll have to maintain a chain! good on you for keeping the V11, I think they are the best ride Guzzi ever made. how far away is Prescott? isn't there an excellent dealer there, EP&F or something? get all the parts you need from mgcycle.com

  14. Your a lucky guy! welcome here... service manuals are available on the web free, try dpguzzi.com or thisoldtracktor.com for starters. then don't miss guzzitech.com. I got mine w/7800 miles to last august, about 13,000 now and I really love it! wish I had your seat.
  15. that rally was a lot of fun! but was it ever windy.. I did 95-100 w/a couple Beemers all the way home down the slab.
  16. so, should I keep my plastic holder and get a PC3? is that what it boils down to? (liquid pun intended)
  17. John A, are you following this thread? Do you want to try Ratchets experiment on my Lemans?
  18. I concur, bad ground.. have you possibly swapped one of the wires around so the ground is hooked to one of the positive leads?
  19. as a side note, the clutch has a switch to and must be pulled in to start the bike, right?
  20. welcome, it's about time you got on board- we've been waiting.. show pic soon!
  21. ZZZZing!!
  22. and the width of Lemans forks (triple clamp spacing) is narrower than other Guzzi's (some at least) so it can be swapped to say an G5 fork but won't be actuallu correct but it would work.
