  1. On my 02 Lemans... anyone with experience putting the Centauro pegs on a V11? looks like the brake pedal will transfer over but do I need a longer tie rod to the pump? and what did you do about the shift lever? thx
  2. if the cam update was not done by a good mechanic there can be major problems down the road, I hear... it's discussed here: http://wildguzzi.com/forum/index.php?topic=22436.0 note: those bikes have cheap steel wheels, not tubeless. offer 3grand and leave your fone #.
  3. I have a friend who made these, I think he would make more for about $200.
  4. you need to go here, http://www.centauro-owners.com/index2.html
  5. I have Nextel for my work phone (sprint?) reception is crap... if you get out of town off the freeway by 30 miles, say headed to so Dakota or no Minnesota THERE IS NO SIGNAL! my company is so stupid! we need good communication nationwide and don't have it.. In those cases i end up using my personal Verizon which works EVERYWHERE! but I'm not under contract w/them- keeps em nervous that I might switch. I do like the Iphone and may go there someday. You can buy the phone itself somewhere like CL or ebay and save some money but be sure the phone is for your network.

    Hey all

You can't be more than about 80 miles from one of the most honest and respected in the Guzzi world... call Jim at Ned's Moto Guzzi in Riverside Iowa SEE what he's got and He prices stuff RIGHT! Do it quick before they get rubbed out by Piaggio.
  10. you could keep it HERE in the American heartland (minneapolis) and be ready to ride the USA... I'd have to keep her in shape for you tho.
  11. Greg, you mean they haven't fixed that PR seal problem yet? do they still put those crappy plastic cone seals in at the factory? I thought when I finally graduated to a spine frame I'd have left those problems behind. is there an O-ring fix for the 6 speed?
  12. I don't think the 15m CPU (under left side cover) has a trouble code light and that might be what you have.. the p8CPU from the '98 EV has said code light under the left side cover or under the seat near the CPU that rides under the passenger seat. the 15m CPU needs a computer connection to read faults etc. the plug you refer to would then go to the computer that has the vdst software.
  13. If it's gear oil from the tranny it will have a distinct smell and should be easy to identify. what are the symptoms that make you think the clutch is gone?
  14. you haven't really experienced it until heard through headphones on acid while skipping high school. did you know he plays a right handed guitar left handed? If you ever get to Seattle be sure to visit the "Experience Music Project" near the space needle. It's also the Jimi Hendrix museum... There is a 2 story sculpture made of instruments that actually play music... it's far out man, Groovy!
  15. I'll make sure to oil up the EVerts UNI filters and I think I'll go back to paper on my Lemans. thankyou all.
  16. In Minnesota, my insurance would go after hers and I wouldn't have to do anything. Hope for a total and a check.. then try to buy it back cheap, or call me when the insurance company wants to unload it. your insurance agent should be your friend in this case. there is a Rosso Corsa f/s out there somewhere.
  17. thanks for the great website!
  18. yes, your right hand lever only controls the right front brake. If something is on the rotor you should spray it w/brake cleaner. maybe its time to bleed the brake lines. and use both hand and foot levers. If you over heat one front rotor with a heavy right hand, it will warp.
  19. I can't explain it but it was a concern I got from Guzziology or somewhere else when i put a EV1100 motor in my Convert. Somehow I was led to believe I had to keep the 4" long tubes that go to the airbox... so i put my pod filters on them but they are taking up a lot of room i could use for the other EV stuff... right now i have to put the battery under the tranny and sacrifice the crossover, not really a problem w/a Convert since it's not running up and down the rev band.
  20. guess you scared him off, looks like he deleted his thread? I enjoy reading about other bikes once in awhile and you clearly stated that it was not about Guzzi so i did have the option not to open the thread. thanks! just for kicks, here's a little 1000S Guzzi content.
  21. I noticed in the pics of the new bike of the month that he has pod filters directly onto the throttle bodies.. wouldn't you loose considerable torq with out the intake tubes?
  22. Awesome... you can get the Harley tps FOR 32.00 FROM CHICAGOHARLEY.COM
  23. just a thought, where did the V11 pistons come from? a V11 Sport, OK... a V11 EV or other Tonti bike would be a mistake and compression would be down?
  24. I don't think the Harley TPS will work in this case.. the TPS on Cal 1100i and i think this sport 1100 are of a different size and don't fit the space in the throttle body. It does sound like your TPS is on the fritz... maybe you can pull it off and clean it?
  25. I seem to remember 30psi but not for sure.. did you set the TPS on rebuild? what sensor do you have for head temp? the sensor in the cyl head (right side) is better than the one in the valve cover, if it thinks it's colder out it might be telling the bike to run to rich? what was wrong with the original pump? I don't think the pressure regulator is adjustable
