  1. I like the look OK but for long pipes I really would like to have polished or chrome over my stock muffs. what if that whole quat system was Jet hot coated in a color or bright silver?? as for the outlet, it probably has an exit route that is calculated via baffles etc. I bet the exhaust travel distance around inside there would add up to the length of a full muffler? now I understand why they cost so, is it 8-900.US? I didn't realize the headers were part of the deal. please keep us posted on the QuatD.
  2. NGC but seeing your from baltimore.... I hear Baltimore is the new mecca for dirt bikes? http://www.baltimoresun.com/news/local/bal...56.story?page=1
  3. bad ground around the tail light wiring?
  4. I'm no expert AT ALL. but it sounds like the TPS might be set to high. maybe the Bozo who set it up set the idle voltage as the baseline voltage? does that bike have a p8 CPU? I have fotos of how to probe the wiring and you could check the setting yourself with a multi meter.
  5. I guess someone has checked the TPS voltage? and balanced throttle bodies? what do you mean by does not run well?
  6. I will quit bidding but will you sell me the custom footpegs? thx!
  7. those bikes are all so clean must have been foto'd before they hit the road.. real pretty stuff, love the spokes, they are tubeless, right? wish I had a Quat D but then i'd have to keep the rear end so clean, then I'd want to add the spoke wheels.. oh and then the belly pan. i think I'll have to spend my $ on gas and tires in these times.
  8. MOVE CURSOR AROUND THE PIC AND CLICK ON THE ITEMS IN IT. www.palinaspresident.us
  9. yes and YES
  10. good point on loss of pressure thru leaky clamp// But have you tried starting w/throttle open 1/4 turn? I have to give throttle for a quick start.
  11. Sorry but this thing needs flaming. mine was fun for about a day, then I put the EV1100 motor to better use in an Convert dressed as an SP.
  12. that thing is plain and pure UGLY!
  13. I once had a BMW with a piant that looked black far away but up close it was a dark rootbeer color with gold metal flake, that was cool paint, I think they called it Bronco or something. it had gold pinstriping but red would look good too.
  14. the bubbleing paint was the big issue with that year. the motor is de-tuned compared to the V11S. does it have a single plate clutch? they have had problems, some got re-fitted with the old dual plate set up. I forget what year that was. the big problem? If he gets a flat tire he will have to remove the wheel then the TUBE, patch it and re-mount everything.. If he can find a used EV it would have tubeless rims thus he could plug it on the bike, fill and go!
  15. here's one link, http://www.guzzitech.com/FuelFiltAlt.html also mgcycle.com has a nice on line catalog.
  16. can you bring the needle back to neutral with a little turn of the balance knob for butterfly sync? with the control arm conected. I think it's the white thumb screw knob I'm thinking of.
  17. I almost lost my beloved Honda Trail 90 when the bearing cored out and nearly fell off.
  18. are your header pipes rattling against something or is the cross over broken?
  19. here's a thread I can relate to.
  20. Ok I froze my hands and feet in a rainstorm at 45 degrees F on the way home BUT I STILL LOVE IT!
  21. or better yet put the exhaust out the bottom like a Buell.
  22. check your ground strap at the battery and frame. if its to the frame but not bolted to the engine maybe it should be. that wire should be heavy duty.
  23. it's not your kill switch is it?
  24. theres nothing special about the relays other than they are 4 or 5 pin type.. take it out and bring it to an auto parts store and match one up. thats what I tihnk anyhow.. or order a set for about 20 bucks from Pyro Dan at dpguzzi.com
  25. I'm touring on mine right now... Love it but in 40 degree temps in the morning I miss the Bassa with touring w/s and heated grips. I wouldn't trade back for anything. My Lemans is the most reliable of all the Guzzi's I've owned and the best handling. w/bar risers I can ride all day, it fits me well at 5'10"
