  1. Thankyou Roy for confirming my belief in Vaseline! And for explaining how once I had battery terminal that "looked" perfectly fine but didn't conduct, probably was that nasty oxide.
  2. I'd still clean the grounds first. And the battery terminals, once I swore they looked perfectly clean but after scuffing up the contact points all was good again.
  3. Pass on the dialectic, you already know why. Dielectric grease, or tune-up grease, is a silicone-based grease that repels moisture and protects electrical connections against corrosion. ... The grease does not conduct electricity, so it shouldn't be applied directly to the mating surfaces (pins and sockets) of an electrical connection
  4. I would start with a little sand paper on all the ground connections. Especially the battery to frame ground mentioned above. And I'd clean and sand paper the battery terminals too then coat with Vaseline.
  5. That happens to BMW's
  6. Griffon, he's a nice boy, Bolt.. not as smart as my lab Pink tho. RIP
  7. Ahmm
  8. Interesting.. can't hardly beat aluminum and steel.
  9. If the threads were to strip out it won't be the SS bolt, you'll be repairing the engine block or what ever the bolt screwed into. I used to think they were cool. As to the turning out the Allen head, do you have good hex wrenches? some (craftsman) are just slightly too small for a snug fit. Do you use anti seize? I rarely ever had a problem with Allen heads unless they were in there for 20 or 30 years on some old clapped out Tonti frame.
  10. A friend of mine had a TT, didn't look all that special but it sure sounded nice.
  11. The most used wrenches on a Guzzi are 10, 13, 17 & 19mm and one 11mm I think. I don't remember any 15,16 or 18mm
  12. Ha, you pulling my leg? That's a screen shot so there is no more.
  13. Not my wife! Someone selling the chopped Guzzi sent it to me.
  14. I've seen a couple wiring harnesses and the two identical plugs were identified by one of them having a red band on the wire just downstream from the plug on both the main harness and the pump harness. Memory says the pump had the red and the fuel sender no red band.
  15. Make an offer after you know it works. I'll send it to you no charge.
  16. Brian, I'd be willing to send it to you no charge to find out if will work. If it does I'll take whatever you want to offer. but like Docc says it's a different color, I'd call it gun metal gray. you can have the sump cover too in grey paint if you want.
  17. It's from a V10 Centauro.. I "think" the block and sump are the same as the V11
  18. Yes you can I built a frame for better support...but don't try this at home, get some straps or some way to secure it.
  19. 1997
  20. I have one from a Centauro, would that fit?
  21. To me it's the "don't look at me" factor, that thing is ugly.
  22. Rox , I think your off base, did you read back where he said it's a Cliff Jefferies MYecu? So it's not a magneti system.
