  1. #90 has a Magni fairing that I bought from Italy in the late 2000's. Fitting was straightforward, I don't remember it being anything out of the ordinary. I don't think you would be able to use regular handlebars without significantly reshaping the fairing. I had two places attempt to color match the factory paint and neither were to my liking so I just went with black. I think original color is a silver base with the red sprayed over it. We tried many combinations to no avail. BK

  3. I'm sorry to post ANOTHER topic but this board will not let me edit the original posts. Please DO NOT PM me on this topic. EMAIL me at willyz66502@yahoo.com Also, I am looking for 50% of new $$$ on most parts. Priority goes to those that respond with offers. I may ignore the "how much for" replies. Those of you looking for specific parts most likely know the new cost. Lowballers look elsewhere. (you know who you are) Tank, seat, seat cover and tail are also available. I can send pics of any specific parts if you EMAIL me what you are interested in. EMAIL me at willyz66502@yahoo.com Thanks, sorry to be a hassle. BK

  5. Greetings all, I have an 01 V11 Rosso Mandello that went down on the right side. The drop broke the front engine mounts which allowed the engine to drop and crack the tranny housing. I bought a new engine plate/mount and never seemed to get around to dropping the tranny and fixing/welding/replacing it. Knowing myself I won't ever get around to it so I am going to just part it out. Wheels are straight and the forks APPEAR straight. Foot controls are gone, right side head has some cracked fins. Tank, tail and seat were removed for the photos. See pictures at http://www.flickr.com/photos/14458509@N02/sets/ I am NOT interested in shipping outside the US, sorry. Shoot me offers on anything you might need. Later in the fall I will probably strip it down and ebay it away. Bike is located in central Kansas, USA. BK willyz66502@yahoo.com
  6. Uh oh! So apparently I just paid $999.95 too much for a wrecked V11 with a cracked tranny AND broken front engine mounts...... It looks to have taken a HARD hit on the right cylinder which broke the cast front mounts which let the engine drop which broke the tranny case. Trashed the headlight and ignition switch but left pretty much everything else looking pretty good. I've already got the front timing plate so I figured I would lift the motor and get it back in straight THEN pull the tranny and weld the case up. I've got a friend who finished second in the "Welding Olympics" as we call it. I figure it might be an interesting project. If the engine/tranny repair goes awry or gets too $$$ I will just part it..... Having a nice, uncrashed one to ride gives one a different perspective I suppose. It can sit on the lift and I'll get to it when I get to it. In the meantime I'm still riding. I can also just look at my uncrashed one if I want to see what things are SUPPOSED to look like and to remind me how to put it back together. Anybody that may know of any V11 parts bikes please let me know. Also, I would really like to get a hold of the service manual pdf that is floating around. The Yahho group that purports to supply it doesn't work for me. If anyone wants to forward that to me I would be most appreciative also. BK Kansas

  8. I'm looking for a pair of V11 sport valve covers to fool around with and powdercoat etc. I don't want to use my stock ones just yet... Anyone have an extra set laying around for cheap?? BK Kansas
  9. I'll chime in on this a little late. I wanted to put a Magni fairing on my Rosso and spent almost a year (!)(I'm a patient man) trying to get the factory paint OR a colormatch. After striking out with MGNA and Italy, I went local. Almost every bodyshop in my town said "sure we can match anything because we have this wiz-bang scanner blah blah blah". They lie. It is a slilver metallic base with a thin red/orange over it. If you look closely at it, it is fairly uneven. It looks like every one may be a tiny bit different. I had several shops scan my passenger seat cover and order up the paint. None of them was even remotely close enough for a part as big as a Magni fairing. I ordered two pints of House of Color metalics, no dice. I tried and tried and tried some more. I spent $$$. I was patient and understanding. My Rosso now wears a black Magni. (Which looks damn cool) BK Kansas
  10. What ever happened with this? I want to change/upgrade my springs/oil while I am fixing a leaking fork seal and no one can seem to tell me where/what springs to get. I get answers from "use FZ1 springs" to "I dunno, just send them in and we'll take care of them". I want to do them myself. Sheesh, I can't seem to even find what fork seals I need. Can anyone provide specific parts/numbers/sources? I may try Ken at Evoluzione next. Maybe its just me....... ;-) Willy 01 Rosso
  11. Also, FYI Gustaffson Plastics in Florida makes replacement windscreens for Magni fairings in clear and smoke. The trick to drilling the windsreens is to drilll from the side that would be the inside of the screen out. If you do it this way it is very easy to do. Bill Kansas 01 Rosso Mandello w/ black Magni
