  1. Bought a Mistral from TLM - thanks anyway. Gregg
  2. Hi Bob - I have some spare V11 red anodised head guards that came spare with my Scura. I think they came from or are similar to the Rossopuro ones which are as per this link : http://www.rossopuroitalia.it/index.asp?Prd_ID=64&Prd_PrdType_ID=1 They have an engraved Guzzi Eagle on them. I live in Sydney so postage will be cheap if you are interested ? I can send some photos tonight if you like. PM me and I can give you my phone number. Regards Gregg
  3. I took a Custom (with the seat from the Tourer fitted as my wife wanted to pillion & see what all the fuss was about) for an hour jaunt from a local dealer near us (Gosford NSW) who is close to some riding roads. I was disappointed in the steering of the new Cali - it felt slower to react to the helm than my EV80. It was miles better than a Harley though !!! I just could not get used to the semi feet forward riding position. I hate those metal over rubber hand grips they fit to the Custom especially the throttle ! The most disappointing aspect was the amount of passenger room which to her did not feel any more than on the EV. The torque was great but not a significant amount more as a package than my current bike as it seemed to be moving a far greater lump - it may get better as miles are added and it loosens up ? The odd thing was how smooth (?uninvolving) the bike was while running along but as you slowed almost to a stop it suddenly picked up a tremendous motor vibration - must be those idle "character adding" viscous motor mounts ? I also could not live with the leg swing you have to throw to get your foot over the panniers without making contact - most of the tourers I have had a look at have multiple scratches on the pannier tops. The finish was fantastic on both the versions, but I will not be buying one even though I could justify it just on the traction control and ABS safety features alone. I think I will be staying with the EV Cali and just spending a bit more money to clean up the bubbling motor paint finish and the corroded chrome on the wheels - I must be mad ?

  7. I am having trouble loading multiple photos so will do it one at time - sorry !
  8. I broke my patella 6 months ago and was unable to get comfortable on my Griso so I have fitted the Knight design pegs - first I went to the 1" lower version then wanted more room, so fitted the 2" versions. The 2" do require you to lower the brake and gear shift - especially the gearshift, it is not adjustable, as I found out the hard way. I then bought the adjustable shift and brake ends from Knight Design as well. They are a great product, although now I find I grind quite hard especially on the left hand side - I have even had the "puckering" experience of the bike changing up a gear when the gearshift touched on a hard bump mid corner. They do make the Griso much more a Touring option for those who are compromised in very long legs or don't enjoy the high cramped standard position - but it does come with a drawback if you still enjoy "getting up" the bike in corners. My knee has improved so I may be re-fitting the 1" lower versions again. I will post photos of the 2" pegs once I get home tonight.
  9. I agree with all the above and tracked down my very intermittent starting fault by fiddling with the wires running into the relay block - when I gave them a gentle push the fuel pump kicked in, if I went for ride and tried to restart the bike it would not prime until I pushed the bundle of wires again. Took it all apart and found at least 6 clips that were loose on the spade connectors of the relays. I crimped them all so they gave good contact and the bike has not missed a beat in 6 years since. I hope it is as easy to cure as my fault !
  10. Please Pm me when you have decided on a price and I will see if I can afford the freight to Australia
  11. If you are wanting to sell off that red seat and back rest I may be interested ?
  12. Paddy is sitting on a train across from a busty blonde wearing a tiny mini skirt. Despite his efforts, he is unable to stop staring at the top of her thighs. To his delight, he realizes she has gone without underwear. The blonde realizes he is staring and inquires, "Are you looking at my vagina?" "Yes, I'm sorry," Paddy replies and promises to avert his eyes. "It's quite all right," replies the woman, "It's very talented, watch this, I'll make it blow a kiss to you." Sure enough the vagina blows him a kiss. Paddy, who is completely absorbed, inquires what else the wonder vagina can do. "I can also make it wink," says the woman. Paddy stares in amazement as the vagina winks at him. "Come and sit next to me," suggests the woman, patting the seat. Paddy moves over and she smiles and asks, "Would you like to stick a couple of fingers in?" Stunned, Paddy replies, "You’re kidding—you mean it can whistle, too?”
  13. Hi Dan, Thanks for the response - I have just ordered a peg extender from Knight Design and will take a photo & post once installed. I wish I had checked Moto International before I bought the KD ones as I have a set of their pegs & levers on my V11 and love them.
  14. Hi, apologies if this question has been answered in the forum before but I have put a set of Knight Design 2" lower pegs on my Griso. The gear change is easy to adjust and I sorted out in about 3 minutes to drop the lever angle to suit the new pegs but I have tinkered with the rear brake lever and cannot sort out how to change its angle. Has anyone been there and done that ? I do know that Knight Design do sell a lever "extender" which looks as if can also lower the toe pad but I did not buy it with the pegs as I presumed that the lever itself could be adjusted for angle. I am hoping that I have just missed something simple ?
  15. Have you tried : http://www.rebootguzzispares.com/ They show RAM clutches as a stocked part on their webiste. Regards Gregg

  16. Very, very sad news. Slav was extremly helpful and patient in all the questions he answered for me through the forum. He came across as a guy you thought you could really be friends with, in all his posts. You will be missed Slav, thanks for all your help ! Enjoy carving up those clouds mate !
  17. Scura Number 255 which was resident in Sydney Australia has moved to much closer to the Great Barrier Reef and has a new owner - Tim Schroeder - may he enjoy the ride for many years to come ! Gregg

  20. Please check the following link : http://biertijd.com/mediaplayer/?itemid=19448 I especially like the guy who faces the approaching plane and dosn't even flinch - my anus would have prolapsed at about 200 metre range and I would have been about 2mm high on the ground at 100 metres - nerves of steel ! Those flyboys sure seem to have lots of testosterone to spare !
  21. You must be thinking of my New Zealand mates - "A NZ farmer who is having unnatural relations with a sheep is asked if he should rather be shearing the sheep, to which he replies "I'm not shearing this sheep with anyone!"
  22. Love a true Aussie gentleman!!!!The Great Australian Drover Drover: "Give me three packets of condoms, please." Cashier: "Do you need a paper bag with that, sir?" Drover: "Nah.... She ain't that ugly."
  23. I know we have seen the footage before but this is the version as if Hitler had bought Ducati - I cacked myself and I am a Rossi fan !
  24. First Skydive. Paddy was telling Mick about his first sky dive. “When I got to the door I just couldn’t jump. So the 6’- 7” black instructor unzipped his fly & dragged out his 10 inches of manhood & said.... "If you don’t jump you're going to get this baby up your arse !......" Mick asks “Well, Paddy?.... Did you jump?”. Paddy replies “A little bit when it first went in”.
  25. There is also a Magni Australia lying neglected in Don Newells workshop in Brisbane Australia. I happened on it when I was buying my Griso 850 around the corner from his shop. The story is that the guy who owns it has had a problem with it and finances and it has lain in his workshop for about 2-3 years waiting for the owner to decide what to do. Very sad all covered in cobwebs but lovely !
