when I change oil and fill it up to the max, he doesn't like it. the oil drops just between min and max on the dipstick, and then I have no oil consumption what so ever. very funny but true. first time I was in panic because I thought the bike had more km's than assumed, but now I know that its just a guzzi-thing. has anybody else experienced the same? pille

had a little problem yesterday! I tried to start the bike and nothing! because I read every topic here I immediately thaugt it could be the safety on the jiffy. so I followed the wire, came to a connector under the left side under the tank, disconnected it and off she goes. now i'm wondering, is it the connector that is broken or the little needle that goes in and out whenever you put the bike on his stand? am I glad to read the topics, otherwise I was stranded. now it took me 15 minutes. ciao, pille

engine : agip 20w50 gearbox and bevel : apip rotra 80w90 what ever you put in it, its fine! guzzi-engines are pretty much still thesame as 30years ago, so whatever oil you will use, it will be better than the ones they used then! much more important to check oil level regular!!!

hi grossohc, those bearings are really difficult to replace! it took me 4hours to replace the one on the rear wheel! once you get one out, you can remove the spacer and then it is easy for the second one. at the end of a frustrating morning I took the "dremel" and drillt them out, knowing its not a very mechanical solution! good luck and keep calm!

I hope luigi did his homework because in the past every attempt to produce a 4-valve engine has been unsuccesfull. the lario had problems in the eighties and daytona in the nineties! but now with piaggio as supervisor this could be different.

I am trying to replace the rear wheel bearings! never thought it would be so f***ing difficult! I have spent the whole morning working on it and so far only one has come out! this is a really shitty job!

now the v11 has 42000km. on the clock. I don't know if this is the first time the bearings will be replaced, because i'm not the first owner. i didn't know they were bad until I had a flat tyre! thank you for reacting, polegato! ciao, pille

when you replace the rear wheel bearings, do you have to use the special c3bearings? I just went to the hardware store buying them but I don't see the c3mark on the bearing. it just says 6204-2rsh. can I put them in or not? greatings from bruges, pille

Hi Jon Guzzi, every time something stupied happens to my v11 I'm ready to hit my head to the wall! so if you wonder, am I the only one? No my friend, shit happens!!!!

welcome phil, and good luck with your bella!! I have mine for 2years now and usually I would look for an other but this one can stay a bit longer, she's just so beautifull!! Try to learn from the guzzi-guru's on this site and you will be just fine on your v11! ciao, pille

my bike has now 40000km, so I assumed that the spring problem would not happen. But today when I wanted to shift down it just got stuck. After trying a few times it just went fine. This happened two or three times today! Is this an omen or just me not shifting correctly? Does the spring failliure comes at once or does it start to fail this way? greatings, pille

I did the same thing like you would like to do, I rode a bonneville and changed it for a v11. Not one bad word about Triumph, great bikes, but Guzzi plays in a different league, that is....................SUPERLEAGUE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! ciao, pille

thank you my friends. I had the hose connected to the other thing. now I know what to do!
-
when you put the tank back on the bike, should the rubber hose be connected on the left or right metal thing that's underneath the tank? And why should one have a rubber hose on it and the other not? Is it ok to just diconnect the hose? I know the answer is here on the site, but my english is not that good to understand every tecnical word! ciao, pille

like you nerocorsa, I also am in love with guzzi and alfa, they are both taken care of in the best possible way! If I could buy a heated garage for them I would do so! ciao, pille
-
you should be called : dart vader! welcome nerocorsa

i am propably the only guy who has SHINKO tyres on his v11. I know, i should be hung up high on a rope, but they were a lot cheaper and as far as I can tell pretty good. But I must say, my name is pille, not Kevin Schwantz!!

jihem, now that your bike vibrates more than you like, maybe you should let your wife drive him!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I'm sure she will be pleased!
-
she is so red, so hot so.......................................sexy!!!!!!!!!!!!! patience, my friend, don't be stuped by trying to keep up with the japcrap! your guzzi has a long braking in period! minimum 5000km (in miles?) greatings, pille

hello, i'm from bruges (you know, that living museum), close to flanders fields! this is my second guzzi, first i had a v50 and now I finally have a v11sport. I am the third owner and the bike has run very much by those guys! She is 3years old and has now 38000km's on it! between the guzzi's I had something special, a benelli 504sport, so in fact one could say this is my third guzzi! I'm learning very much from this site and have done some modifications to my bike, just by reading! So when you are cruising around bruges, let me know, because when you have a guzzi around here, they think you're an alien! greatings, pille

sorry polegato, it is just a dream!!! I think they are the most beautiful things on two wheels. Now I have a regular v11, but who knows, maybe my next bike will be a tenni (if I can find one). greatings from bruges, pille
