  1. Hopefully I can add these photos of my 01 V11 Sport...
  2. Very brief intro: Active member from about 02 thru 05 when I had a V11 Sport and my member number was #25...don't expect that I'll be remembered for anything, but possibly my member sponsored (thanks everyone) little league baseball team in 04. Anyway, to the matter. Ive been lurking here still even though I sold my 01 V11 Sport and bought/sold a 96 Honda VFR and 06 Ducati Multistrada 620 which I still own. So as a "lurker" I've maintained (from a distance) my love of the Moto Guzzi V11 Sport and am considering buying another. I'm most interested in a V11 Cafe Sport which I believe was only available in 04 and 05 (?). I'm hoping that someone can provide some insight re this model. 1. Is there a difference between the two years? (compression ratio or other difference) 2. Is there anything different about the Ohlins forks as opposed to other Ohlins? 3. Are there any issues I should know about re this model? Such as flaking paint, or trannie problems? 4. Has the overall quality of Moto Guzzi changed in the past several production years? 5. Lastly...Are the Scura, Scura R and the Coppa Italia essentially the same bikes as the Sport Cafe, but with a different color scheme? Thank you in advance for any input, not necessarily limited to above, offered.
  3. Left and Right. No pitting or grooves. Includes carriers. $100 plus shipping from Modesto CA USA 95350. Pics available. josephr11rt@aol.com
  4. BMW's Airflow jacket is pricey, but nice in that BMW-ish understated sorta way.
  5. Hi JRT...That year ('03) they did very well and advanced to their division semi finals. 2005 was my son's last year (he's now playing soccer and doing pole vaulting and as I write this he is travelling across Europe) and in '05 they took the division championship Again, my thanks to you and many others on this list.

  8. Answer:http://www.v11lemans.com/forums/index.php?showuser=25 (or just click on my name for profile page) My final destiny: forgotten, thrown to the curb and misspelled by TX REDNECK Actually a fair 'nuff question since I probably havent contributed much useful technical information, just general banter. However, an astute forum member MIGHT remember me as the coach of a little league baseball team which was sponsored by www.v11lemans.com in the 2003 baseball season. Many of you members were kind enough to contribute to that sponsorship, and I have always been grateful for that!
  9. U guys are killin' me BTW Ralph, I'll need to repo' those wheels There is no problem with the Ducati either in terms of maintainance, service or anything. My dealer, Modesto Ducati treats me like royalty for a number of (undeserved) reasons and they are great in every way. I've tried, hinted actually, to get them to take on MG but they would have none of it... Here's a tease
  10. By way of re-introduction I was a fairly active member (Member #25) up until about a year ago when I got this woody for a Multistrada. So I sold my V11 Sport, see here http://www.v11lemans.com/gallery/details.php?image_id=314 and bought a MTS 620. Well, while I was at Laguna Seca (Moto GP) I saw a red V11 LeMans on Cannery Row (I think it had WA, AZ or OR plates) and I complimented the rider...and I got to thinking (like skating on thin ice) about how much I miss my V11. So I've posted in the classifieds, see here: http://www.v11lemans.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=8583 to trade my MTS for a V11. I know I'll take flack and grief from a lot of you about why anyone would want to give up their Sport/Scura/Lemans for a Multistrada...but heck. I'm thick skinned...so have at it ................ . The MTS is set up very nicely for one-up sport-touring and commuting, but as good as it is...and it is very good, it just isnt a V11. So I'm kinda "testing the water" to see if I should sell, trade or keep. BTW, the bike is a 2006 model, located in Modesto, California, USA. Title is clear.
  11. It is a 2006 model. Here is a photo with the DP saddlebags mounted.
  12. This is a nicely equipped MTS 620 with following mods and accessories Appprox 3 K miles Ducati Performance (DP) hardbags, red. DP Termignoni exhaust DP Touring windscreen Adjustable rear linkage to raise/lower rear end CRG levers Cycle Cat clip-ons Fairing mounted mirrors BMW electrical outlet plug Heated grips It is a standard model with two front discs, but has the "Dark" bodywork on red frame. All stock items are also available. Located in Modesto CA, USA Photos available if interested.
  13. The CRG levers for the V11 Lemans and Sport models are the same as the CRGs to fit a '96 Ducati 900 SS/CR (they SHOULD be as the stock levers ae interchangable between the two bikes). They are available in gold or black, standard or "shortie"....see here http://www.constructorsrg.com/products/clutches.html They are VERY nice. The "roll a click" version is available for $89 here http://www.motostrano-store.com/levers.html
  14. Hi..I was the seller of the ebay item above (through my friend infstbob). I had it advertised on this site for $200 but no takers. Anyway it was a size S/M which is a similar fit to an Arai S. That particular helmet is not available any longer from AGV. Arai also made a very similar helmet called the "Agostini Replica" about 4 years ago. You might be able to find it on the Aria site "archives" or perhaps a google search. On the www.multistrada.net site there is a similar thread and a photo of a currently produced helmet by X-Light(?). If I can locate it I'll post it here. Aria also made the "Adamo Replica" mentioned above by Steve G. ...About a year ago I saw one at "Roadrider Motorcycle Accessories" in San Jose CA.

  16. First of all: If the Commander were around today he would look like this: but a hundred million orders of magnitude bigger and scarier. http://www.commandercody.com/ I had a dream and the Commander talked to me. He made some very ugly comments about what would happen if people did not buy the items I've posted in the classified section. Well they arrested me and they threw me in jail... I called my Pappy to throw my bail. My Pappy said "Son, youre gonna drive me to drinkin' If you dont stop drivin that.... Hot... Rod.... Lincoln."
