  1. I resolved the midrange hole in the powerband when I installed the MG titanium pipes and ECU. The end result was awesome, and my dyno graphs showed a healthy difference in midrange torque between 4000-6000 without the big dip. I just dont want to mess up my near perfect fueling by drastically changing the exhaust system.
  2. I would also be interested in a set, but I am still concerned with the effect that the lack of a front crossover might have on the engine characteristics. Have there been any comparisons on the dyno between the two setups?

    V11 pilot sports

I installed the pilot powers on my 04 lemans last summer and I was absolutely amazed with the improvement over the bridgestone BTO 20's. The bike feels 100 pounds lighter in the corners, and the level of grip is more than I'll ever need. This was the best $$ i have spent on the bike since my Ti exhaust system.
  4. Thats the only cooking show I ever watch! SOOOO HOT!!
  5. I dont know what happened to my reply, but I fixed it!
  6. I use my earplugs anytime I will be doing more than a few minutes of riding at highway speeds or above. The wind noise for any lengthy period is far more damaging than my open lid airbox, or my Guzzi Ti pipes. I ride in a Shoei RF 1000 which has proven to be a relatively quiet helmet, but even a Schuberth S1 rates at around 90 decibels at 65mph. I dont like normal earplugs on the bike because they block out too much ambient noise which I think makes them dangerous to wear in traffic. I have tried several disposables, and non-disposables with rating from 24-30 NRR ratings, and I had the same feeling with all of them. Because of this I wear a Bilsom 656 NST. I like these because they are only rated at 21db NRR, and they have channel which passes throung the center of the earplug so that some mid and high frequencies pass through. I get more than adequate protection with these, and I can still hear most of the ambient traffic noise that I need to hear like ambulances, horns. These are really nice compared to a conventional earplug.

    New Tires

I have about 100 miles on my Pilot powers now and I couldnt be happier. I run 33psi front, and 36psi rear.
  8. I would have to agree with the others who said there are much better tires out there than the BTO 20's. I just finished putting 100 miles on my new Michelin Pilot Powers and the improvement in comfort and handling will far outweigh the reduction in mileage. Try something else, and you wont be disappointed.
  9. For anyone waiting to buy a set of pilot powers for their V11, just do it. I just had my first set put on. They are replacing my BTO 20's, and my god what a difference. The whole bike feels 100 pounds lighter! The bike dives into corners with a vengeance, and the feedback and response mid corner is much better. These tires are worth every penny, and the hype is accurate. My bike seems to ride much nicer as well. I bought them at Motorcycle-superstore.com for about $220 shipped.
  10. Greg, what type of oil temp. dipstick are you running, and do you have any pictures?

    New Lemans

I usually average about 160 miles until the gas light stays on without flickering, and once the gas light stays on the bike will take about 4 gallons when I fill it up. My riding is mostly spirited back road riding, and some in town, but Ive got as high as 45mpg on the highway doing 70ish. I use mobil 1 0w-40 european car formula for my oil and it seams to work very well.
  12. That would be really cool if someone posted the show on a server for those of us who dont have Speed TV.
