  2. "Whitepower" produced a model compatible to the 'Sachs'. Guzzi used it in the V11. We didnt hear about WP having a cracked eye, other than the Sachs which is notorious for it. Alternatively you may search for a used shock absorber&spring used by Guzzi in their model *1100 Sport*. Used it will cost you rd. 200 - 250 € here in Germany. -M- ...TAPAtalk via Samsung Galaxy Nexus...
  3. Un-der-stood!! .... And more confused now. Q: Are there any tulips from the Caribbean?? Anyway, thanks for sharing, Jaap. I just missed some remarks on the excellent cheese from Gouda and Leerdam. Maybe a good reason for an onsite inspection trip to ....umph... Holland? Dutschland? Netherland? Regards from Bavaria. With cheese, too, but no tulips. -M- ...TAPAtalk via Samsung Galaxy Nexus...

  5. Your V11 Rosso is a beauty, and YES : Red is the only genuine Guzzi color besides black and Tenni-green ! One minor note: The tiles of your flooring is a pain in my eyes ... Buy white Italian Carrara marble! Your bike deserves it... 8-) ------ Sent from Galaxy Nexus # Tapatalk 2

  8. Hi, coming back to the voltage. I did some measurement earlier last year, and this is what I measured at the battery's "PLUS 12V" after i had (1) cleaned and (2) tightened all connectors along the way: alternator > regulator > battery ...13,35 V ... before start ...13,75 V ... idle 1,100 rpm ...13,78 V ... idle 1,100 rpm , with lights on ...13,92 V ... 4,000 rpm ...14,36 V ... 5,000 rpm . with lights on Happy new year -M-
  9. I ordered pin& spring without knowing if the original Guzzi parts can be re-used or not. It's just a few cents, and if *not*, I'd have to do another order at www.buellparts.net, which means another 2-3 weeks waiting (due to German customs clearance, it takes them 2 weeks). Now seeing the parts in real, I think i can re-use the Guzzi pin. The spring is different, and i will mount the Buell spring.

  11. Indian summer at the German/Czech border. Met up with the guys from MotoGuzzi Bohemia Club last weekend. For those who want to practise their German language skills >> http://www.v11sport.de/forum/viewtopic.php?f=24&t=4922 Crossing the border is not an issue anymore, compared to some 10 or 20 years ago. The former "Iron Curtain" is fully transparent for travellers and business. Along the border line, there are still unexplored forests. So I left the highway and went cross country, into the forests and fields. Now in the autumn season, we experience a fabulous Indian Summer. Colors - colors - colors! And my V11 Tenni fits nicely in , dont you think so? -M-
  12. now owns a V11LeMans Tenni (08.2012)

  13. Looking for cylinder protection bars, similar to that which I saw recently in Collenberg/Germany at a Guzzi meeting Who knows a source? Who knows a manufacturer? -M- P.S> of course i do know the usual Rossopuro suspects...http://www.rossopuroitalia.it/index.asp?Prd_ID=67&Prd_PrdType_ID=1
  14. Hi, this is Martin. From the state of Bavaria/Germany. I bought Canta's Tenni #88 recently. Also, I own a black V11 KR built 2000, and some of you may have seen me riding in Singapore before... -M-
  15. Got this mail too, today. Being banned, on probation. First I thought it is a carnival joke. Second I thought someone hacked MY account and made indecent posts. Tgird I thought someone hacked Jaap's account and spammed me. Now since I recognize that there was a previous history in this bord, which I do not visit frequently, and some members pissed Jaap off, I tend to understand the reaction. However, why then use the shot gun against ALL of the users, even those who have done nothing wrong? Is it a kinda SIPPENHAFT? I will stay away now for a while. Haven't been very active anyway. Regards from Singapore -Martin-
  16. Iit is a TV commercial for a DIY supermarket chain. The message is "..there is more to build by DiY..." Good animation. Actually we *do* have speed bumps in residential areas, but not this kinda tank killers :-) -M-
  17. What a happy end, Alex! I experienced similar problems with the MotoGuzzi V11 fuel pump when I stayed in Singapore. Obviously these Pierburg pumps can not come along so well with the heat. I got it replaced, and I ordered from my dealer MotoSpezial in Germany. My report is in German only, sorry (http://35229.rapidforum.com/topic=102475709271), so no need to go there for the reading. But I also did some engineering while waiting for the shipment from Germany to Singapore (and this toooook quite a while, man!), and I added a few lines about fule pump replacement parts. Goto Bosch Motorsport (http://www.bosch-motorsport.de/content/language1/html/2832.htm), and I recommend #580 . 254 044 ...old #580 . 464 048 ...old #254 . 464 070 ...new #580 . 464 070 ...new 'New' means that Bosch has developed a single new, unified standard fuel pump model replacing a few other old models with different plugs or hose connectors. -Martin-
  18. So many beauties.........I am impressed! May I add some of my Asian Eye Candies, please? regards -M-
  19. @ Jim from Dublin-Ohio I have a similar V11 SPORT (made 2000), and my fuel pump died at 25,000km. Find out if your pump is dead: 1. Remove the tank (and disconnect the 2 fuel hoses and one electroc connector before), then see the pump fixed to the frame with 2 brackets. 2. Take a volt meter and measure if the fuel pump is on 12 Volts, when you turn the ignition key. 3. If ther are 12V, but the pump does not sound ==> replace pump. Originally, it is a PIERBURG pump, but BOSCH offers a suitable replacement See my corresponding article (Sorry - German language) http://35229.rapidforum.com/topic=102475709271 I mention the spare part numbers and the catalogues at the end of this article. regards -Martin-

  21. Thanks for the hint, Jaap. Well, this was Jan. 2003 - ages back in fast-paced Singapore! I havent heart anything from him since then. Anyway, I am in touch with a couple of other Guzzi Owners (2, to be precise). That is already PLENTY in Yamaha-Honda-Kawasaki land, as Singapore is heavily Japan dominated, at least regarding motobikes... But any further contact is welcome. Guzzi drivers in Malaysia - Indonesia - Thailand : WHERE ARE YOU?? regards -M-
  22. Probably the only V11 so close to the equator.....well, not exactly! See my remark below. In front of Raffles Hotel in Singapore, at night. In front of Raffles Hotel in Singapore, by day. To my surprise, I found an other V11 in Singapore. Mine is the black in front. Enjoy viewing -Martin-
  23. Ha - I beat it! My V11 is closest to the Aequator. -Martin- from Singapore. Wanna read more about a V11 in the tropics?
