now you've heard it in the rosso recall post. i talked to my source today and learned my vin # is included in the v11 recall, not just exclusive to the rosso mandello. if your bike / vin # is included in the recall you will be notified by mail.i have not been notified yet so i called my dealer and gave him my vin and he told me i was on the list. the problem is the sliding sleeve in the trans and guzzi has the fix listed as 8 hrs. my dealer said its more like 14 hrs. also a future recall is the rods and rod bolts, as he learned when he was at the big guzzi pow wow a few weeks ago! dealers do not have the parts yet. this sounds like something that can get fixed over the winter months---- i hope ---- good luck.

"can you hear me now" , didn't i say there would be a v-11 recall related to the trans! .
-
alright al, i was taking a beating over on the wildguzzi site over this so i thought it was best to refer you to that site. wasn't trying to be rude! heard from a guy that was at the guzzi meeting early this week that there was going to be a recall on v11 sports, something to do with pushrods and a trans fix. thats all we know right now. this guy is going to get back to me when he knows more!!
-
go to the wildguzzi forum, this post is having a good time over there!!!
-
what problems would those be?
-
just heard that there is going to be a guzzi recall cocerning the engine and tranny.bike owners will be notified by mail and of course guzzi will be picking up the cost ! will keep you all posted>

what about the carbon fiber pipes on the guzzi web site that state for race track use only. the titaniums were my first choice but then i couln't use my side bags for trips!
-
just visited the us guzzi site and discoverd the titanium pipes. i have a 2001 rosso v11 and the site lists 2 versions of the pipes. one for crossover and one for non crossover.i thought the rosso had a crossover!? anyways. does anyone have these and whats your experience. are they loud? would i benefit by adding the stuchi x-over.and what is the " cdi " ? i'm ready to do some performance upgrades, is this a good way to go.? thanks

can scratches be buffed out with products like meguires deep cut swirl remover without dulling the finish? anyone have any experience with removing scratches in carbon fiber?

last night i went through every freakin motocycle mag i have and would'nt you know that i would find the ad for the brake fluid reservoir in the last mag. it's made by "hooligan". they have several different colors of anodized aluminum and you are right al they have hooligan etched into the cover. there is a view slot so you could see the fluid level. i would like to know if they have the smaller size for the left brake, i'll have to call them!
-
the screw and rubber grommets are completely tight but the whole reservoir can still easly move back and forth. nothing seems broken or cracked. i guess i just never noticed this before. in a cycle mag i once saw a reservoir that was an anodized red color and machined out of aluminum. i should have cut out that ad. has anyone else seen that before?
-
my right side brake resevoir is loose, however the screw is tight! i loosened the screw, re-tightened it. still loose. does everyone else have this prob?this is on a v11 sport

biesel, where did this guy jan get the rear end lights for his rosso, or do you think this is a custom job?
-
jan is that the stucci carbon fiber chin fairing? how is the fit. if it's not stucci where did you get it and how much ? thanks scre
-
looks nice jan but what the hell is that white stuff flapping around on the top of the tank
-
you are right goldmember, i was just looking at the fender on the wsite and then went to look at my bike and there are some fit issues. the oem covers quite a few areas that this carbon fiber fender dosn't. however i could always get the fender and put it on and if it dosn't pan out i'll return it.
-
thanks wanie, i thought that was it . i also saw the alternator carbon piece there too. you want to help pitch in for these!
-
does anyone have a stucci chin fairing that fits under the engine? i'm looking to add the final ----ya sure---- piece of carbon fiber to my rosso mandello. let me know about the installation, hardware kit, etc. i spotted the fairing on the cycle garden website under v11 parts.

ok jason, i,m sorry i dissed you so bad the other day, my sense of humor must have been way off. forget about that harley thing too. i put a post up and expected some instant results. i took a trip up to the dells last year with the side bags all loaded up, and driving on back roads all the way up . i weigh about 185, and the back end seemed like it could use some firmin up. all i wanted to know was how to adjust the spring and preload. the factory default has them set up in position 1 and 3 . i want to know if i can change these settings and in what combination to acheive this. thanks .
-
:finger: thanks for the lame answer moron. i would expect an answer like this from someone who rides a harley. now anyone else out there that can give me a serious response other than flooder. going to a rally soon and would like to stiffen the rear shock a bit. do i dial up both the shock and preload? thanks
-
whats the best way to firm up the rear suspension on my 2001 v11. i've got side bags and when fully loaded up the back end needs to be firmed up. thanks
-
this makes me very happy i was told this cf part came with the screw holes not drilled and i was thinking how am i going to line the drill holes up, but as i see from the great photos the screw holes are recessed. excellent, this will make things easier. of course before i drill these holes i will place tape to prevent cracking and fraying. btw i was told this part $ is about 200 clams!!!!!

could one of you scura owners please respond to this. on the gas tank- the carbon fiber plate on top- the four screws- are thy flush or do they stick out a little? these screws are socket heads. are they bending the carbon fiber down around the holes. i'm planning on ordering this carbon piece and i understand that they come untapped, that is the holes are not pre-drilled, i apparantly have to do this myself. i'm mainly interested about the relationship of the holes to the socket heads and how this plate is tightened down. any info would be greatly appreciated! thanks scre
