  1. I've been trying with side stand down not even thinking about possibility it could affect connection but planning on trying, but as I mentioned before, for everyone who has had success they are doing it on a shop stand, centerstand or on a lift with sidestand up?...I find that unlikely.....yes bike in neutral
  2. No Chuck.a a semantic clarification.I say Kill switch "off" means engine can run. Phil says kill switch 'off" means bike can't run....I'm not starting the bike, just noting what I call it.Neither is right or wrong, just clarifying definition...
  3. Thanks Phil, made notes to yo suggestions....
  4. MPH if someone is selling,I've used Conveter-Bars on other bikes and liked them, just don't look as nice as MPH's....
  5. I will try,but what are the odds that all people who have had success connecting had it on a unicorn center-stand or a lift with the side stand up?
  6. Tried everything you mentioned but the side stand switch, always leave it down in case of a tip over on the lift...
  7. Thanks Kelly, I DL'd and opened Reader and Writer, and the Golden Rules, I may not have tried "8-9" times but maybe 4-5,...I'll try 10,what the hell. Still leaning to driver, when I can figure out how to post my correctly sized screenshots of Driver Vr I will...
  8. Doesn't work on the current OS I am running...
  9. Trying to upload more screenshots but keep getting kicked back becaue of file size even though I reduced them,...
  10. Dammit, seemingly tried everything, although I'm a Mac guy and not up tp speed on PC but I just can't get GD to connect to the bike. I just did a full service and added a Mistral X-Pipe and the bike is running sweet but would like to check and adjust the Co as it's never been since I've owned it... This is what I've done, Bought a new netbook running Windows 10 Have a Lonelec Cable, tried and older Fiat cable also that had worked on a Ducatidiag Uploaded GD v48,also the Reader and Writer(not that it should matter) Uploaded what I believe to be correct drivers Tried all combinations of connecting to port, powering up and loading program and to no avail. Only get one option of USB port, which changes depending which of the three ports I have,.... Thoughts
  11. So finally got a decent road test yesterday all all is good.I'm going to my grave believing the air filter breach caused all this, nothing else was amiss, replaced with a new one and she runs like a champ! Thanks all for suggestions,...
  12. Ya,it didn't make sense, but a few have mentioned of doing road side TPS checks,so had got me thinking that more than one or two were doing it...
  13. Just wondering if everyone leaves their Casper Cable installed after checking TPS or remove?...
  14. Who makes that rear hugger?....
  15. Thanks Gene,I did all that first, when this started a while back.Once it gets a thorough road test I will post...
  16. No,no,no....That's already been done!...It wasn't until I ACTUALLY checked the air filter and found it chewed through by a mouse and since replaced it was determined by a short ride that that was the problem. That's in a previous post.....Hasn't been run through it paces as I'm in the middle of the service,TB's are next and if I can get Gizzidiag fired up,a CO set,I'll get it out for a proper road test and report back!
  17. Gene,"the owner" removed the airbox and give it a full bath and cleaning to make sure there was no debris in the nooks and crannies,...ran perfect after that, working on a full service and hopefully I will get it done next weekend to do a thorough road test, but before I found the breached air filter and revs were sticking after I rolled off throttle I would intuitively pull the clutch in and then revs would shoot up to redline, would also only do it after riding 20 mins and the bike was warmed, never cold,if it was mechanical you would think it would happen right away, warm or cold shouldn't matter, did that several times with repeated results.Still assuming the air filter was the problem...Same symptoms when I've had TB boots cracked or slipped off TB bodies.....A lot more air than the system was expecting...FWIW...
  18. No,not worth asking as they are so cheap on Amazon,... Literately my time is work more than the $15 bucks I paid for the replacement ,now if I was retired,....
  19. I wouldn't blame the previous owner,it was a design flaw from the factory and was recalled for a couple years. If you have a black engine and ride and work on it,you're gonna have chips. The way to prevent it? Repaint it and put it up on a stand in the living room and don't touch it...I would use "textured" to describe the paint finish. But most Swedes speak better English than the average American so I wouldn't be too critical of a translation error...
  20. I do my best to muck up the works...
