  1. Wasted two months with a supplier playing phone tag and long response times to emails,so went to MI for parts.Should be in a week or two.Have most parts and tools ready to go ,but waiting on a few gaskets, bolts and washers Micha suggested. He believes the new Griso 2 plater hub is the same as Scura. This is what he is sending, 90405367 – rear main seal 95028025 – lock washer 90706233 – input shaft o-ring 90404059 – input seal 12007600 – breather pipe gasket GMS53B-8X25-10.9 – flywheel bolt (6x) GMW93-8 – 8mm schnoor washer (6x) Found a local garage to rent for the rest of the winter with electricity, and nice smooth cee-ment floor .Got a 1 Ton lift from Harbor Freight on sale.Plan on pulling tank and lifting her from above strapped to the spine tomorrow, then down for a few weeks with work and a week+ in Scotland Pics to follow,.......
  2. You wouldn't pay 21% tax if shipped outside of the EU.About $628.00 plus shipping and includes the X-over,so not outrageous considering the amount of manufacturers who are making aftermarket parts for V11's.
  3. MPH makes clip-ons with risers.Include all hoses.Perfect, for me,sporty/neutral position. They also have the MG eagle etched into them.Very cool and help support the shrinking MG community.
  4. Hi Michael! How's that clutch job going? I noticed that Guzzitech was offering ECU reprogramming a while back but I don't see it on their web page now. I might have be interested in that if they were local but I don't want to be mailing my ECU back & forth to CA, plus as you mentioned it's fairly expensive. Cliff's MyECU gets pretty expensive too when you include the optimizer, lambda sensor, and exhaust modification. The PCIII with either ECU really very good so I'm not very motivated to spend a grand to get it PERFECT. My FBF crossover finally cracked even though I had welded some straps on it when new to prevent that. It was too far gone to fix so like you I'm going to install a Mistral crossover. It's in a UPS truck on it's way to my house right now. Hi Tom, I'll PM Ya bout clutch, dont want to High Jack The cost of the other A/F- programming options kept me away also.Just waited on a good deal on a used X-over and PC which show up here and Ebay every so often.Think I paid a little over $200.00 for both.Have heard great things about GuzziTech's customer service and after care and their reprogramming may make a PC3 superfluous. Sorrry bout the FBF X over.Shame they don't give a crap about the they're customers as I remember Greg Field(a distributor for FBF) trying to get them to replace a cracked X and they ignored them for months. He finally gave up and put on a Mistral.Seems like they only care about the 1%ers who come in and drop thousands on they're Ducs, without questions.Heard that from many of their customers. The cool thing about the Mistral is it will give you the most mid-range of all the X-overs and you can add a center stand if so desired Coming from a Honda background I dont like spending a lot of time fixing or changing OEM mistakes or deficiencies.I like to tweek and tinker, but if I had to do piston, cam,or spend thousands to transform a bike into something other than the factory engineers intended, I think I bought the wrong bike.
  5. Guzzitech may be able to re-flash the ECU Tom.I think they are offering it now,but pricey. If your looking for max power everywhere I think that would be a good way to go. I have a almost new PC3 and Mistral X-over waiting for me in Scotland, that Im gonna pick up next month .Those, airbox mod,a good map and my Ti's and stock ECU should be fine for me.I'm just looking for better low-end response,3-5K.
  6. It will give him a good sense of why the Romans left. Ha ha Sicily or Orkney in the winter, hmm which, which one? Glencoe is pretty spectacular in all seasons though
  7. I dont remember it being that hard to disassemble.I think it was just a couple torx head screws.Maybe someone else could confirm.Once I got it apart just cleaned it up with brake cleaner an little silicone spray and reassembled and problems went away.
  8. Pete I'll be in the Glasgow area March 12-18th.May go over to the western highlands for an overnight to sample single malt Oban's Although the Romans were wise not to venture too far north of Hadrian's wall. There are some Roman ruins from a (brief) settlement on Knoydart in the north WH's,amazing stuff!
  9. Try pulling the starter and removing the solenoid ,clean all the gunk on it off, probably clutch plate dust, and then give er a try. That cleaned up my slow starting, still have the original Spark 500 in her. Before you invest in a new battery .Worth an hour or two, less if you've pulled the starter before.
  10. Still have original ,working great.Odyssey, sitting in closet waiting to be called upon.
  11. Woah, stop the presses Ouiji is back!Did you bring your ole girl to HI or back on the east coast, either way welcome back With you and Ratch outa the loop,a turn of a phrase or biting wit is far and few between.
  12. Ha,I never doubt the "The Master ". But another member did the same conversion.02 Scura to a Griso twin plate and did not change the hub.No problems and all is well.More of a mystery than a doubt. The hub, tool, nut ,washer are about $200.00 US,so just wanted a look-see before I ordered.Have an email into a (good)dealer but haven't heard back in a week so I figured I would try the unwashed masses.
  13. Hi Keith, PR says yes, just would like to see pics and measurements to confirm.
  14. Soren and Keith. Jon Margrave has both a low mileage driveshaft and the twin-plater clutch/flywheel out of his Le Mans that he's wrecking. Both probably absurdly cheap knowing Jon..... Pete Dont know about the clutch,I Pm'd and emailed him,no response.Probably already got rid of it. Bugger! But thanks for having us in mind, Michael Søren Soren you still may want to try him,he may just have gotten busy or didn't get email.Would be a shame, as I had to source mine from Reboot which would have made a lot more sense to get one in the US and yours from the EU.Oh well,..
  15. Does anyone have an old twin-plate clutch hub lyin around? Was hoping I could get pics and measurements of it to compare to the Scura's single plate hub before I order a new one and tool to remove. thanks Michael
  16. Nice John! How bout going one further. "My wife requests I ride it as she believes the vibration helps reduce superfluous penis size.Ah,you obviously don't need that,... you T!at!" BTW I have a 95 Speed Triple,.....
  18. Andrew this should be in the "Technical Section",you'll get a lot more views. Also an offer from an owner for help is valuable as we do a lot of work on these beasts ourselves.I would trust us,more than some shops.not all,but some.Looks like you already do some wrenching with that nice collection you got You've been given a lot of good advice here,it has to be running well before putting on any fueling mods. The shake,if it's more than just normal vibes, had got to be tire, rotor, wheel, bearings,or engine mounts,as already suggested. That'l narrow it down! Keep posting.
  19. Ha Gino, Scotland is often overlooked for it's roads and beauty, and under appreciated as a country for those who haven't been there. Shhhh, let's keep it to ourselves.
  20. Mine came with MPH risers which I'm very happy with.Sporty but relaxed position.I also own a VFR with Heli's,an ST1100,and a CB919 so I like a less than racer pose. FWIW
  21. Daryl, They're not the same size. VFR's are conventional 43 mm's where as V11's are USD 53,54's as I recall. Michael
  22. Thanks for the heads up Pete Bummer,I was hoping to avoid replacing the hub as their over a hundred US,oh well. Also means I need the tool . I had planned on sending MI or MPH an email after the holiday to see what else I would need but that heads me in the right direction Cheers mate,
  23. If that's not a wives' tale ,that freakin cool that someone figured that out. What # pencil?
