1. Hi Hal, Had to work out of town over the weekend but am gonna try to get out tomorrow. If you or anyone else is interested ,let me know. Michael
2. Hi Steve, CARC models don't get much attention here ,especially the Breva (just not sporty enough for most of us Sport lovers), but I found this, http://forum.guzzitech.com/index.php?optio...=44&id=4489 Good Luck
3. That's friggin brilliant! Have you considered Mark at Dyno Solutions? Heard he is the man for dyno tuning in our area.
4. Supposed to be best day of the week, anyone available to ride? I'm in Woodstock/Ashokan area lotta great stuff around here, but would be willing to meet up within 50-75 mile radius from me. Hal,Ryland,..
5. Hi Tom, Nice find. With no PC3 I found that the bike ran better with stock ECU than with Ti's ECU.I'm sure a well tuned PC3 with TiECU set up would be optimum, but in stock trim even with fiddling with TPS couldn't get it quite right.
6. Gen-u-ine Mo-to Guzzi Ti's.5K is heaven and I have always have had stock pipes on my bikes,If you can find a set grab em as there becoming very rare. Oops wrong cans,
7. Hal ,Glad you didn't find out about that the hard way while leaned over in a turn. Stoopid Luigi
8. Hi Gino, Maybe starter solenoid gummed up and the relays being swapped .
9. Anyone who want's to get out for a few hours tomorrow gonna meet some friends in the Woodstock/Ashokan area around 12-1pm.Supposed to be nice. Michael
10. I'm against shutting down threads as the group suffers from being denied from discussing a subject. Offending individuals should be addressed by a warning or suspension for breaking the rules.Which on this thread should have been a long time ago. But now with someone sick and friends or family reading this,it's time to put a stop to this, Jaap, Please, shut her down,.... We could start another thread about updates on TX's condition,..
11. Hi Steve, Nice find, the 02's sure are purdy. Where abouts are ya?There are a handful of us in the western Ma,Conn, capitol area.I'm near New Paltz/Kingston. Welcome to the fold
12. Yup,it was you eas, Thanks for the link
13. Hi G, I'm at 15K without a problem ,...yet. Would like to replace but with the current state of affairs of our economic situation ,I'm holding off doing it.Pisses me off that Guzzi never admitted or recalled this problem even though there have been several cases (I think @ 20) of potentially lethal explosions! Someone posted a few months back about a supplier in Mandello that they had spoken to and were are assured they would continue to produce and support them.Don't know if that was Agostini or another shop.Couldn't find out who in a search, maybe they'll see this and chime in.
14. Assuming here docc, but I think he resolved this by putting side stand up.
15. This guy's got Bollocks! http://www.pashnit.com/forum/showthread.php?t=20392 Ridin up north ,in the winter, alone, on a Guzzi,no studs,no sidecars,no stinkin badges,......Yikes!

Bad news

This sucks! My bike was purchased from MPH by the original owner.I called them when I was working in Texas one week.Todd gave me a tour of the shop and treated me like a VIP, even though I hadn't spent 1 cent in their shop yet. Understandably times are tough for all companies ,especially luxury items such as motorcycles. But Piaggio was seemingly clueless in good economic times, but now ,forget it.If they don't turn it around in 24 months or so,I think I'll be looking for a used low mileage 1100S Monster.Saw one in another former MG shop last week and was impressed with the build quality. As soon as roads clear here I'm gonna take one out for a demo ride.Love or hate the image of Ducati and their riders,(I don't have an opinion either way),they're not going anywhere.I'll try to keep the V11 forever, but I also ride a lot of miles and don't like sob stories and excuses from manufacturers concerning parts availability,or designs flaws, especially when it effects my hard earned and ever shrinking dollar. Looks like MI is the beacon for Guzzi owner's lost in a sea of Piaggio sh@t!

Gary Cheek?

I think the Guzzi shop he worked at in Detroit closed, may be busy with non-MC things in life. Miss his input also. One of my first post he offered to help me replace the Scura timebomb,er,ah,..clutch. Good dude!
18. Left,right,conservative,liberal,no matter,but all bikers gotta like this, http://www.motorcycle.com/news/motorcycles...bill-87976.html
19. Like many of us spare cash is hard to come by now,but some interesting things out there.Hopefully someone will take care of this Rosso till they sell it to me next year,.. http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/Motorcycles...%3A1|240%3A1318 http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/Motorcycles...%3A1|240%3A1318 This would be a fun project,.. http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/Motorcycles...%3A1|240%3A1318 Happy Hunting!
20. If RH's method doesn't work for you,.. "Thanks. I will certainly do the spring swap as soon as I figure out how to get the seat off." QUOTE (mznyc @ Nov 12 2006, 03:28 PM) * Hey Guys, Thanks for all the help.I got it open by gaining access to the latch mount through the rear fender,Removed the half fender underneath, loosed the nuts holding the latch mount from underneath and the latch gave loose right away!
21. This is how I fixed mine, later on I realized I was trying to unlock it with the helmet lock! Duh! There is a belief here that the factory switched the fast idle spring and the seat release spring. Many people here have flipped them and have had no problems since. Here;s some links that should help, http://www.v11lemans.com/forums/index.php?...p;hl=seat+latch http://www.v11lemans.com/forums/index.php?...p;hl=seat+latch
22. Thomas, Do you know about the fast idle/seat spring swap?
23. Hi Sig Would agree with everybody that ya gotta get battery charged up before proceeding. **CAUTION** When working near battery be careful not to touch the pos connector to the ground of the ECU,it's about an inch away from it.If you have to remove battery, take neg term off first ,then pos connector. The TB rubber boots are a common problem. If they're cracked or loose you would get the symptom of fast idle.Could also be a loose header or exhaust connection.Any leaks affect your air/fuel mixture and hence your idle going through the roof. Michael
24. Use ATT in EU and Medico no problemo.Just call them before you go overseas, and add on International roaming.I'ts about 5 bucks a month. It gives you a reasonable rate when IN Europe. Then remove it when you return.I keep international calling on my plan so I can call Europe from the US for cheap. PS I'm sure you meant no harm, but I would be careful in using certain terms in an open forum that might offend someone, especially since you may not know everyone reading the forum personally. Some people who have autistic family members and some who don't, may take issue .
