Lee as Tom says they were known to crack.Greg Field who was one of our members and worked at Moto International,a distributor of FBF,had one,it cracked and they ignored him. That has been reiterated by many who had problems with them.If they ignore a distributor ,how will they react to a Joe Blow who has a problem. The Mistral will give you more mid-range,the Stucci will give you more top-end,whichever you want. You don't have to ,but you should match the exhaust to the mapping, either via a PC3 or a real re-map Guzzidiag or Guzzitech re-flash.

Looking for new or clean used MG tank bag for the ole girl.
-
Hey,aren't you the "What to do with the rear wheel off" guy?
-
My tank bag is showing a few years of abuse and shoddy construction.Does anyone have one or know a source for one.Tried TLM and don't see one on the site.Harpers want $179.00 for one,ahhh,..no.
-
Later models have less issues.Get a Ohlins equipped model.Cafe Sport,Nero/ Rosso Corsa,Coppa Italia,Scura,Scura clutch can be an issue,I replaced mine.
-
No.It shouldn't spin freely. There should be a resistance.Even in 6th.I have no problem bump starting in second, even without jumping on to it.Second gear, key on,run along side with hands on the bars for 5-10 yards, release clutch and a bit of throttle ,it'll start 9 times out of 10.Are you very light?

If you want/need a piggyback reservoir, add $125 to those prices. FPK (Fork Piston Kit): $625 plus shipping, with Paypal. $610 cash/check. If we can swing enough interest before Penske's winter special ends on 12/31/2011, the prices drop to $575/$558. If you have any other questions, please feel free to let me know how I can help. Thanks and Happy Holidays!" Nick 610-888-1280 sales@stoltecmoto.com raceboy Here is Nick's info.I would suggest calling or emailing him and see what it would take to get a group buy going. He did it for my Speed Triple group a few years ago,so prices may have gone up. Start a new thread and see what kind of reaction you will get to gauge how many people are interested so you can give Nick a # of how many you may need.He will base the price on that and how many deposits he gets. Like government,..don't wait for the other guy to make something happen. You can do it!!

Before we throw Mistral or Stucci under the bus ,let's confirm which brand this is first. It's been reported for years that the FBF was known to crack by many members.Greg Field who worked for a distributor of their product had one,it cracked and they ignored his emails. Never heard of anyone say that they had a problem with a Stucci or Mistral cracking or having a fitment problem until now.So not a widespread problem. PS ,..."Technical Topic"

I've always tinkered with my bikes when I stored them in the city, but now that I moved them out of town I do ALL of my own work.I did the valves for the first time a few years ago and they are stupid easy when you've done it once.(I also have a Desmoquattro ST4s,so compared to those it's child's play). No special tools needed other than feeler gauges. Can be done in 15-20 mins. This MUST be done before trying to adjust fueling,if you don't know when they were done last,...or ever!
-
Yup.Three springs and maybe the pawl arm if it's worn or the original size which broke springs early on.
-
Bummer as the Daytonas would be just a little too late for that.
-
Here it is slogging around a track.
-
Probably why they got they're butt kicked at Daytona in the BOTT.Oh wait ,they won. This is what you want http://www.odd-bike.com/2013/03/moto-guzzi-mgs-01-cooking-goose.html but a built up Daytona would be within reach and quite competent in a Classic race.

150mv key on,not running. 465-525 mv at idle varies from bike to bike, what ever makes your bike run smoother, really a balance of TPS,air bleed screws, idle,TB balance ,not EXACTLY the same on every bike

Screws for Lafranconi silencers on my Rosso Corsa
mznyc replied to Pi31478's topic in Technical Topics
They are T-30 Torx screws. -
Im with you Simon I'm all about value. I only buy things that are functional and don't care about what people think as cool. When I said bling I meant you bought a high quality piece of gear that you wont have to replace or re-build soon.Dont know what you paid for yours but when I got mine it was several hundred dollars less for a comparable Ohlins, which to me was a good value.
-
Sweet.Nice bling without the stupid price tag.Not cheap but fair for what you get.

Preemptive Shift Return Spring and Pawl Arm Replacement
mznyc replied to sp838's topic in Technical Topics
If you haven't disassembled the cover yet, take pictures and mark the wheels with grease or paint for correct orientation and alignment.Transmission and pre-selector should be in neutral position when re-assembling.- 48 replies
