  1. I don't know how that works but if you stare at those pictures for five minutes you can see a snowman!
  2. Hey this one's got a couple of Guzzis !!! http://images.cyclegarden.com/cgi-bin/Imag...ect=Guzzi_Girls In fact, the whole bunch of them do! Joe
  3. That looks like it would fit in place of the gawky plastic tail light mount/plate mount on a V11. Have you looked at it in that way? Joe
  4. Steve I would suggest getting an LED turn signal controller that turns on both directional lights with the tail/brake light. With three lights lit it should be plenty bright. FWIW there are a bunch of aftermarket rice bike tail lights that may do the trick for you - I've got an R6 unit that fits inside the flat tracker seat on my RD400. Joe
  5. As DeBenGuzzi said we only got the track version, but I'm sure people have gotten plates from states that are less particular about it. I'd love to see them bring in the RS250 and make it street legal, but this thing is pretty quick. Here's some info from a two-stroke forum: The US model is strictly "Track Only/Competion Use Only" bike tho it would be easy and simple to make it street equiped as the left and right hand control/switch is there and it is wired. Wiring for the lights, turn signals, mirrors and rear fender / plate holder is all you need to make it street legal. The "Track Only" bike's motor was hand picked and I think it has a built in lap timer too. Stock dyno @ 26 Hp, derestricted dyno @32 (stock exhaust, non mods air box, stock everything). Weighs 120Kg (264lbs) Put Jolly Moto pipe, V-Tech reeds, 34MM Carb and pipercone air filter on it. Had it up to 106MPH with a few RPM's left. MSRP $5499, US dealer markup up to $2000 + fees http://www.motorcycle-usa.com/353/964/Moto...Track-Bike.aspx
  6. John It's curious that the two bikes in the background are two strokers. I'd love to see one of these lightweight terrors sold in US soil. Joe
  7. They should just re-issue the V11 Sport, looks plenty cafe-racer to me! (the Oliins version looks even more so) Joe
  8. I am not sure if you enjoyed riding the Wes Cooley special or having one to ride. I suggest putting the one you have together and riding it and seeing if enjoy the ride even with it's imperfect finish. I don't think cutting up a special edition makes sense though. After all they are not making any more if them, and one less makes the others worth more, not yours. Joe
  9. Thanks, I'm actually looking for a master cylinder for a '76 Yamaha RD400 I'm making into a vintage racer: It has a single disk and a 5/8 master now but it hits the clipon. I'm hoping to find a slimmer one about the same size maybe slightly smaller. Thanks Joe
  10. I got a replacement speedometer recently even though I brought it in one month after the warantee ended. The two odometers stopped working. So I agree it's a dealer issue. But if that's your only local dealer, you're f'd. BTW, Does the Duc crowd the jewels? I didn't like the way you ride the tank on them, the Guzzi is much more comfortable. Joe
  11. Anyone? Anyone? Bueller?
  12. I found a master cylinder that may work on my race bike. It fits 2001-2004 Stone / Jackal and was wondering if anyone knows what the piston diameter is? Also that master fits 7/8" bars right? Thanks, Joe
  13. They should also bring back the Norton girls! BTW, this has to be the worst Norton ever made, what were they thinking???? Joe
  14. My guess is they changed to left side exit to pass some kind of noise requirement that involved a drive-by a roadside microphone. Joe
  15. Antonio, there are a lot of beautiful women in the world, and a lot of fashion models posed with motorcycles. But how many beautiful women actually ride? That's what this is all about - beautiful women who ride! How's this look? Not real but a beautiful rider! Joe
  16. Where do these hot women that ride come from? More importantly why not CT ??? LOL This one was at Loudon this summer. Rides monkey on a sidehack! Joe MAYBE WE SHOULD START A NEW THREAD OF HOT WOMEN ON BIKES WHO ACTUALLY RIDE THEM
  17. A can's a can and a pipe's a pipe, the bike doesn't care who's name is on them. The guzzi-specific ones just fit without fabrication. I used Honda RC-51 cans and pipes on my bike, and had to cut and expand the pipe to fit over the crossover. Joe
  18. Hey Dimitris They say a picture is worth a thousand words, so here's 3000 for you: The instruments and headlight move with the bars and forks, so I can't imagine how the clutch would hit the intruments. Maybe the mechanic doesn't understand how different the bikes are? Joe
  19. yikes - living life to the fullest is dangerous! here's hoping for a full and speedy recovery.
  20. What a timely post! Last Sunday my odometers quit working at about 7200 miles. I already replaced the cable at ~6000 miles. I was going to inquire at a Kawasaki dealer this week for the digital tach/speedo that comes on an '09 KLX250S. It's a slick little unit that would look good on a V11 sport, much shorter than the two factory gauges and the housing, to clean up the front end and maybe even fix that helmet buffeting at highway speeds. Joe {UPDATE - I went to the Kawi dealer and found this unit costs about $440 plus the sensors!}
  21. Wow I need to get going! But with summer ending and a lot of riding and water skiing to do I don't think I'll have more than one done by the 7th, if even that one. But I'm thinking about $75, it takes me a couple of hours to make each one.
  22. Ha! I think you are all too biker oriented. If you ask a room of 100 random non-bike people, the bike that most of them will visualize is this: the coolest, strongest, blood-thrilling, best regarded, worshipped and banned bike in whole history Joe
  23. Yikes! but how does an SUV try to avoid a bike "many times"? Stay put! And why does the biker have the same last name as me? Joe
  24. Hey, Thanks for asking. I got another plate cut on the water jet machine - I messed up the dimensions of the first one - and will be making another mount soon. If that one works I will make a half dozen more and make them available. The front signal lights were cleaned up by simply removing the spacer that is there. You need a couple of metric screws to replace what's there if I recall, or maybe nuts? It'll be apparent when you take it apart. It's tough to get anything done around here once summer arrives - we have to stuff a whole year's worth of outdoor activities into three months. Joe
  25. I'm jealous. American's are such prudes - the few topless beaches we have are full of women who should't be! Joe
