I don't think so. But the buyer is from California. Once I get a full payment I will direct the new owner back here. This is one of the best and intelligent forums

Yeap. This is mine

As the title states I have an OEM Carbon Fiber Front Fender for non-Ohlins Forks (GU01434340). This fender fits all V11 with Non-Ohlins forks. I also think it might fit Ohlins forks but not 100% certain This fender has been discontinued and is no longer available from anywhere. Just checked the price and TLM lists it at $290. I would like to get $250 with FREE shipping anywhere in the USA This is a take of from my 2004 V11 Ballabio and its in great shape. https://www.ebay.com/itm/362402234785

Is the original question the same, or similar, to the final question in the *other* cam thread? "Now, the question remains: Why not cam a V11? My take is that the V11 (1064 Sport) cam is very well optimized for the bike, but surely there are those here who have changed the cam. If so, to what?" Docc, the reason why not V11 cam is because I want to leave spare engine intact. Also since my engine is opened and the heads are already off I might as well get a bit of extra performance. If 620x9 would not require any additional mods but offers same or just a bit of extra performance then I would stick with that. If I get 620x9 and new valve springs and maybe high compression pistons without the need to sink valves then I would go that route I need to get it going soon so I can get my V11 back on the road

Orangem2, thanks for a response. I spoke to Mike Rich last time about a year ago or so and he also told me that x10 is the largest cam. But Mike didn’t have cams then. Also main question was if Megacycle cams and Mike Rich’s cams are one and the same. I know Mike is a great authority in Guzzi world but if he wouldn’t have cams it would be of no help. That is why I was also asking about German and Ghezzi-Brian cams. I would appreciate if people who actually have different cams post here. So, as of now I got confirmation of Mike’s x10 cam and some German Schlick valves are the once that have been installed. Original question is still unanswered

I had my previous Ballabio for around 5 years and NEVER had Ropper plate installed. I rode it relatively hard and only had oil light flicker few times. I doubt my camshaft failure has anything to do with Ropper plate and as docc said it’s a good idea. But it’s 1000% would not be a cause of the problem. I hope no one thinks that factory engineers are any less experienced than mr. Ropper. Chuck, thanks for at least confirming that you have Megacycle in your bike. I will keep trying to get in touch with Mike Rich by phone and/or emails. @gelos, thanks for the offer. I am trying to stay close to OEM setup with possible mods. So, if one can confirm that Megacycle X9 would be just a drop in proposition but be just a bit better than OEM then I will get that. Otherwise I will just take apart the extra engine that I have
-
Yeah. I am still hoping he is going to respond back to me
-
Nothing else besides crankshaft and new valves. I don’t really need to post pics since I don’t need to prove anything. I am making phones calls. Tomorrow will call Germany and see what they will say. Also will be sending email to Ghezzi-Brian If I get more concrete answers, I will post them here
-
Docc, not really. I did thru the whole thread but no definite answers. People are just guessing and suggesting but nothing concrete
-
swooshdave, camshaft is bad. I know it because my mechanic took the bike apart. He is very good mechanic and knows what he is doing. I do not doubt him. All I am looking for if someone actually has answers to my questions And yes I know Ropper plate has nothing to do with it. I had a Ballabio for 5-6 years without the plate and it worked beautifully Thanks Vlad
-
Footlgoose, no idea why it happened. Bike has barely over 4K and oil had been changed just prior. I wasn’ riding aggressively and bike didn’t have Ropper plate. I bought the plate afterwards and will be installing once camshaft problem is fixed.

Not looking for a lot more and it’s not my main concern. But since the bad cam is out, I might as well put in a little hotter one. That’s why I am asking. If Mike Rich would have gotten back I wouldn’t even bother with a question. But unfortunately he didn’t and that is why I am looking for an alternative. From what I understand, a hotter cam adds around 5hp and if I get pistons then maybe another 5hp. I would be pretty happy with that
-
Is there anyone on this forum that actually installed Megacycle cams or Dynotec or Ghezzi-Brian cams? Come on guys chime in.
-
Docc, So, original cam is a nice piece and I get that. The discussion you pointed me to has a lot of MAYBE info but zero answers to the original question on that thread or to mine. From what I gathered is that Megacycle and Mike Rich camshaft 620x10 are same but doesn’t seem to me that anyone has the answer why lift specs on these 2 camshaft are so different. Also there is someone on eBay is selling B10 regrounded camshaft for $275. Mike Rich is specifying that head would need sinking valves. There is no such info on Megacycle site.

My bike have a problem with a camshaft and need to get it replaced. So, here is my dilemma I have a spare all stock engine with around 3k miles on it. So, I can take the cam out of there but I always wanted to get a little more power for my V11. I am thinking of upgrading camshaft but since our bikes are not getting any younger it’s getting hard to get any performance upgrades. That’s were you guys come in. Since this is extremely knowledgeable forum I have always listened to owners who did the upgrades or have technical expertise. Here is my list but I am not 100% certain 1. Mike Rich lists camshaft (800-620x10), performance valve springs and pistons or (800-620x9) with stock pistons. Unfortunately I cannot get in touch with him for the last 2 weeks and he is not responding to emails or voicemails. From everything I read it would have been the awesome setup 2. Ghezzi Brian 2 valve power kit http://www.ghezzi-brian.com/en/tuning-moto/tuning-moto-guzzi/v11-1100-sport-daytona-centauro/2235-2/ Sounds good but never heard of it and probably would be a lot more $$$$. 3. Then there Dynotec http://www.dynotec.de/index.html. No idea about the price and quality. All I know is that they make stuff. All I know that Raceco which is closed now is forwarding everyone to Dynotec 4. Does-Mototec is supposedly also known tuner but I have no clue about their pricing or availability. http://www.daes-mototec.de/index.php/motoroptimierung-moto-guzzi.html 5. The last one is HMB-guzzi in Germany. I don’t see anything for V11 but maybe they have it. http://hmb-guzzi.de/Engine-Tuning-Repair?lang=eng 6. Megacycle cams. I think Mike Rich sells Megacycles but grinded to his specs. Megacycle lists a few options but their list is for 750/850 engines. I thought it would be same for 1064 engine 620x10, 620x8 or 620x7 Any recommendations based on personal experience and/or technical expertise would be highly appreciated Thanks Vlad

Convertibars have clearly defined cut-off line rings. So that once you setup you can always trim off access length. In other words set your highest position and cut off the access. I never bothered it on Moto Guzzi but on my Bimota it had to be cut off due to extremely limited space

I am not trying to sell them. If I anyone wants to buy them and especially members of this forum get extra discount. And the reason is not because I am trying to sell. Do a search on this forum for my previous bike, I think it's in a picture thread, and see how nice these things look. I had them on my previous Ballabio, I have them on my current Coppa. I also have them on my Bimota SB8K SantaMonica and these were installed by the previous owner. My friend has them on 2015 Kawasaki Ninja 1000. I also have Gilles on my Aprilia Falco. Though Gilles are extremely nice, it's now hard to get them and they are much harder to adjust (more involved). If you want something nice and relatively inexpensive look at Vortex, Woodcraft or Spiegler (awesome choice and doesn't look like the other crap) with fixed type of a rise. Or one can even look up Chinese immitations on eBay. Any one of the mentioned will be head and shoulders above the crap they you have mentioned. By the way Rox is nice but if you originally do not have a bike with a handlebar then you would need to drill it an upper triple tree. I love when people ogle over crap . Why would anyone own an Italian piece of art and try to put some ugly ass products on it? It just my personal ConvertiBars http://www.v11lemans.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=14253&p=153635 Or another type of Rox that are very inexpensive and very nice ROX Deluxe 2" Pivoting Bar Risers for 7/8" Handlebar

MPH CYCLES to order yours at $399 - Wholly sh*t!!. Why would anyone spend this kind of $$$ on such inferior product? . Looks like someone did it in the back of the shed. To put such a junk on a V11 is a travesty. ConvertiBars are $60 less and a beautifully made with infinite adjustments. Craftsmanship is superb or you can go even for less with Woodcraft. Or spend a bit extra for Gilles.
-
I am wondering why would you try to reinvent the wheel? The most simple and 100% working solution is to get ConvertiBars. They work great, look great and come in 2 colors - black or silver. Installation is a snap and stock wires and cables are good enough for almost 3" rise. Price wise a bit more expensive than Woodcraft but well worth the price do to a multiple adjustability
-
Do you have part numbers? Does it look different then the original OEM?
-
I sell 99.99% of the stuff that is out there. The difference is I offer 10-20% discount from MSRP. All brands such as ARAI, Shoei, HJC, 99% of all exhasuts, can be offered with discounts. I usually beat everyone's prices on Ohlins and 100% beat everyone on Elka suspension. Basically if you have anything in mind let me know. By the way a little while back I sold quite a few M4 exhausts for V11. Look up my prices from the last time. I can tell you that the sound out of these pipes is amazing. It's even better then from MG Titanium kit. M4 can be had in Ti, Carbon Fiber and Aluminum. Aluminum is the most cost effective option by the way. By the way if you look up my Ballabio after I converted it to LeMans. It has ConvertiBars

I looked at Rapid Dog bar risers and think it's a copy cat design with extremely limited adjustability. In addition it looks like they work only if they are mounted above triple tree. I assume one can mount under but the Risers part is gone. If one wants just riser part but don't care about much adjustability then Woodcraft risers are just fine. If one wants true bar risers with awesome adjustability then there is nothing out there that can compare to ConvertiBars. ConvertiBars have original design and great quality. I knew an original designer, who unfortunately passed away at a very young age. He was a truly nice guy and talented engineer. The new version of ConvertiBars is even better and offers adjustments not only for height and back and forward but the bars can be adjusted from+16 to -16 from horizontal plane in 4 degrees increments. As for the vibration damping, one can use ConvertiBars bar ends. The only other bar riser I would consider are Gilles. Much more money and much harder to install. But they look like jewelry and come in beautiful packaging. How do I know? Well, installed and have Gilles on my Aprilia Falco since I got the bike. That's about 11-12 years. Also had ConvertiBars on my first Moto Guzzi Ballabio turned into LeMans. Just installed them on my Coppa Italia. My Bimota SantaMonica came from previous owner with them already installed. Sold a good number of ConvertiBars to customers of various motorcycle brands and they worked beautifully on all those bikes. My close friend just installed ConvertiBars on his Kawasaki Ninja 1000. Again, it's just my opinion. I think bar risers should offer a large degree of adjustability for a price or offer just riser part for a lot less like Woodcraft, for a lot less. One should not be grinding, cutting or reinventing if one needs bar risers. Especially if one owes beautiful Italian motorcycle. Any hacksaw and hummer work should not be applied to any European motorcycles unless they are crappy old bikes or Harley Davidson

I am watching and reading this thread and wondering why would anyone buy such an ally bar risers and in addition would also require some grinding. All mentioned bar risers look like crap including the ones from mpcycles. I already have mentioned ConvertBars before and gargoyle just mentioned these as well. Extremely well made, made in the USA and have tons of adjustments. None the bar risers that are mentioned here offer very limited adjustments after installation. Price and performance wise ConvertBars are superior to any other mentioned here. I do not have any ownership in ConvertBars but I been using and selling them for the last 10 years
