  1. I am one of many who hasn't posted much at all. I bought a Bonneville instead of a Guzzi when I discovered how hopeless the Miami Guzzi "dealer" is. Moto Guzzi needs a proper US dealer network, especially if the V7 Classic ever appears here. Thus imagine my surprise when I get a personal e-mail from this Jaap character who has never deigned to acknowledge my existence previously. I have started to dislike motorcycle forums as they all follow the same boring predictable patterns of enthusiasm, rage, moderator intervention, promises to behave etc... I got a good laugh out of the idiot Jaap's e-mail. If he had the brains God gave a goat he'd have directed his comments at the causes of his problems. I'm not one of them so if anybody else wants the coveted title of floridaguzzi go ahead. I'm going back to being conchscooter on my own blog where I enjoy myself at my own pace and can tell myself to @#!#$# off any day I feel like. Good Lord this is stupid.
  2. Nice to see my home town framed so nicely. I would be exceedingl;y jealous had i not spent a good part of June puttering around Todi this year. Unhappily on a BMW not a Guzzi, but only a few of us get everything we ask for...I did to grow up riding those mountains in my youth.
  3. The claim in the text is that this is Lemans Number One. The prototype of what became the "new" V11 Lemans. A historic motorcycle they say, thus likely not going to be altered much! The slow food movement is a response to the growing trend of fast food American style which is getting widespread acceptance in modern Italy, a country that has long resisted frozen packaged foods. Slow food supports the notion of a meal eaten sitting down, prepared from fresh ingredients and enjoyed at a table, not on the go.
