  1. Ya gotta know a guy . . .
  2. A real and true Pressureangle RedFrame V11 Sport to behold? SSR XXI / 2025, baby !!
  3. I had to be away a minute and I come back to this amazing discourse. A helluva (buncha) guys. Special thanks to @bmc5733946, a member here since 2003. Good on ya, Brian, and best regards to Dave Blue, "a helluva guy" . . .
  4. Welcome @XELOS17! In addition to sourcing the selector spring from @Scud, perform Lucky_Phil's shift improvement:
  5. Looks like a calliope.
  6. Looking for some bass riffs for a Dylan song, I stumbled across this never-aired concert filmed at the Bellevue Biltmore Starlight Ballroom, April 1976, in Clearwater, Florida, where I graduated high school a couple months later. The link opens with the Joan Baez performance at 16:54, hauntingly beautiful. What was billed as the largest wooden hotel in the country is gone now. So amazed this video exists.
  7. I seem to recall very little additional clearance is needed. The simplest way I can see to do that is to secure the bike on a lift with a platform jack under the engine sump, then: Loosen, but do not remove the mounting bolts at the front of the motor to the front subframe. Get access to the upper and lower gearbox mounting bolts and remove them (only after seeing to it that the bike is secure). Lower the platform jack allowing the driveline to pivot away from the spine frame until there is clearance to remove the throttle body assembly. If a RedFrame, some clever P.O. might have added the additional frame-to-bellhousing plate. If so, the lower bolts in the throttle rod tunnel must be removed. Fiddly, but not impossible. Pretty sure this can be done without removing the tank, airbox, frame sideplates, or swingarm. Did I mention the bike should be absolutely secure on the lift?
  8. Man, that's a good question. I last performed this task in 2002 for mySport's warranty replacements. Perhaps another member can speak up that has done a throttle body assembly swap within recent memory . . .
  9. Also, be aware that the assembly just not just "slide out" (at least on the ShortFrame). A bit of frame "crabbing" is needed to get clearance for removal/installation.
  10. These "dismanters/breakers" typically break bikes down into their smallest components to get the maximum return. It is telling that individual throttle bodies are not typically encountered. I would also consider, if one side needs attention, the other is probably not far behind . . .
  11. When my throttle bodies were replaced under warranty, for dripping after shutoff (another story perhaps), the dealer informed me they were considered an entire assembly on the rails with the injectors and TPS. Later, when I decided to get a spare set, I only found the assemblies available. So, not sure about finding one throttle body, without the assembly, let alone that there is a right and a left.
  12. Are you speaking of the entire TB assembly, including the injectors and TPS mounted to the rail set? Either way, I see no changes in the parts or the assembly across the V11 SpineFrame range; should all be interchangeable.
  13. Gotta love the excitement in the guy's voice at the opening of the video. As for being the Lamborghini Countach of motorcycles? From the looks of his collection, I would say that he would better qualified than I to say. And the Lambo engine song video is compelling. His maestro comes off as competent and unassuming. Seems to be a good chap. Even if he did leave the wife's doors open on that start-up.
  14. Plus, early V11 Sports used the red Champion caps.
  15. Regarding the rather blood-curdling sound of these Kawi triples, I am reminded of a year at the Barber Vintage Festival watching their chief mechanic and head technical person (I'm sorry to have misplaced his name) roll various bikes out front of the building and start them, giving them a proper series of blips on the throttle to warm the motor and please the crowd. Out he rolls a Kawasaki 2-stroke that some clever fellow had Siamese'd a pair together for a transverse six. What a ripping hoot! Talk about crowd pleaser!
  16. Only 6speeders from the 1999-2005 V11 SpineFrames. Later (CARC) 6 speeds differ, especially regarding the drive shaft. V11 "EV"/ Tonti frames are all five speeds.
  17. Some light reading links for you, @Tennitragic:
  18. That's what I thought, "Man, that is a hot looking Nova!"
  19. I learned about Getor Moto through US eBay sourcing a gasket set for my GB 500. They have been good to deal with in spite of a shipping debacle that was not their fault. They do not have a lot for the V11 SpineFrame, but some.
  20. I stumbled across this R/R at Getor Moto in Germany, reportedly manufactured by Johannes J. Matthies GmbH & Co. KG: https://www.getor.de/Regulator-rectifier-for-Cagiva-Ducati-Moto-Guzzi Perhaps, Getor Moto is a resource we should know about? edit/ Jan 17 2025: I am sorry to report I am having a bad time resolving an issue with this seller over a shipping foul-up. I have to put them (Getor Moto) in the "not recommended" category. Too bad.
