(Yeah, I've been known to ride some crappy roads. This year's SpineRaid over The Cherohala Skyway was no exception.) I have never regretted adding the EdgeGuards.
-
Okay, wow! A rare, full, set of "EdgeGuards" made by our 2004-2013 member "stormsedge" . I run a full set and find them very well designed to keep the grit and spray off the shock, vulnerable shock eye, and the back of the gearbox (including the extremely important main electrical ground). When stormsedge left the forum, he offered the molds and materials to anyone that would carry on, but there were no takers.

Looks like there is an auxiliary forward panel mounted above the location of the "hugger." Is there another triangular panel mounted the area of the swingarm in front of the rear tire?

I just PM'd @Pressureangle to add one of these to my pile. I waited until everyone had the chance to get one as I am the proud owner of The Very Last P.Roper MotoModa plate. Still, the chance to own, and display, this awesome Rusty Star Picket Project plate is just too much for me to pass up.

Odd, no Guzzi . . .

Yes, what are the alternatives to pee pail ? V11LeMans.com does accept direct card donations. The original post of the Rusty Star Picket Project (P.Roper authorized slopper plate) has been edited by the OP: -
Moto Guzzi V100 Sport Tourer: water cooled, 120 HP (26th of August 2021)
docc replied to p6x's topic in Newer models
In the US? I'm sticking with Guzzi's history of the third year from the debut, Eicma 2021. So, 2024 is still a little over a year away . . . -

Not to detract from Dennis' memorial. What a fine man. I will never forget his smile. -

2013, (Ninth) South'n SpineRaiders: So very sad that the two fine fellows, far left in the view, Warner and Dennis, have now ridden beyond us in this life. Warner, most recently, on Christmas Eve 2021, riding off The Tail of the Dragon (TN/NC/USA). Godspeed, to our dear friends and fellow riders. -

Wow, man, what a kind thing to say. That was a particularly challenging South'n SpineRaid. The low, cold cloud ceiling on the Cherohala, multiple mechanical failures, last year of the "Saturday Loop." The Chancellor (Dennis) never stopped smiling! -

My buzz-blocks are mounted inboard of the frame rails. The early rear fairing wings are enclosed and I don't know that there is space to mount outboard. Are the later rear faring wings "hollow" with enough space to re-tighten connections as necessary?

I edited the post above to try and help keep a running total for @Chuck .

Thanks for asking, gstallons, and the reply, CagivaRider. I learned the hard way that wiring should be zip-tied loosely to anchor points lest this very thing occur. A tightly tied wiring point becomes a heat sink and the metals work-harden from the focus of vibration. A point that should be added the Tank Off Maintenance Checklist . . . [edit: There, done. Thanks for pointing this out, @CagivaRider!] ">Be certain the wiring lead from the Phase sensor is not "Zip-tied" tightly to the frame leading to a wiring break and sensor failure. Repeat the process of locating and releasing any and all wiring that is anchored tightly to hard points. Re-tie loosely to avoid wiring failures."

Ha, yeah, I saw that, too. I suppose when a 22 year old bike has been ridden that little, a certain amount of unfamiliarity is to be expected. Otherwise, it cpuld jyst be a tupo. Lots of theze keys are pretty close tpgether.

Here are mine for comparison. Looking forward to seeing @stewgnu's solution. . .

I don't think there is anything "typical" about BBQ in Tennessee. They tend to each strive for their own thing or just do something unremarkable, but saleable. Then there is the matter of the "sides" which can also be out of a can or amazing and unique. Seriously, our hands-down best local BBQ is Shaffer's Meat Market and Texas Bar-B-Q near Lawrenceburg (Closer to Florence, Alabama, than Nashville). I haven't been in a while since the line is always out the door. (Sounds like a recurring theme with best BBQ . . . )

Hi, @ildar! Thanks, @ildar, for posting your images to the gallery! The LeMans looks fabulous!

The three negative ring terminals on the battery are: 1) the largest/ main ground to the back of the gearbox (be absolutely certain this connection to the gearbox is cleaned bare and sealed!), 2) the start/charge/lights harness, and 3) the (completely separate) Fuel/Ignition harness through fuses 1 & 2 --> Relays 4 & 5.
-
I'm no expert, but that kind of voltage drop smacks of "dead short." Could there be something awry with the four hidden spade connectors beneath fuses one and two (injection/ ECU)?

It is helpful to distinguish, when a V11 "won't start", whether it *clicks/whirs, cranks, or that there is > nothing < at all. Both @LaGrasta and @milo's V11 crank, but don't fire (if I understand correctly). A V11 with a faulty Run Switch or bad Clutch Switch/bullet connectors doesn't do anything on start attempt? Also, just because the battery has been removed for storage = nothing electrical can go wrong? I would venture that connections can continue to corrode and degrade while rodents can change your wiring without asking. Rude little shits.
