"Attachments" require the downsizing, but Gallery/Album images do not. Just drag them in, I believe . . .

I am thinking you already have an Album in Member's Gallery. Follow this tutorial to upload images there:

That takes me to a login page. Dead end for me.

Report your January 1st ride, if applicable.

The bikes are staged to get out for celebratory rides to establish hopes for good riding in 2025. Having only gotten my little Honda back together a couple days ago from three months of remediatory repairs, I am most excited to have her out for a romp today. Low 40ºs F today, while this was taken day before yesterday on the checkride in the low 60s . . . edit: This New Year's Day, rode the GB500 a thirty mile loop over the river and back. At 43ºF/6ºC, my fingers said, "Enough !" edit/2: Got mySport out 36 miles through the hills. My, but these V11 motors do love to ring in this cool air! -

Some lovely kit, there. I'll have to ask Santa for one of these for driving the ///M roadster, top down, in the winter . . .

During a very demanding 2000 mile, high pressure, interstate roadtrip driving for my wife recently, she informed me I am a "bad passenger ." Without hesitation, I declared, "I AM NOT A PASSENGER, AT ALL!" Yes, we're still speaking . . . And I am still not "just along for the ride." In fact, at this very moment, I am attempting to make my car-burette'd motorbike roadworthy once again.

For this, you must go to Rome . . .

Yes, indeed, the thin washer stays outboard of the right side needle cage that abuts the right side swingarm. Grease that needle assembly and thin washer liberally (with every tire change)! The spacer fits on the axle between the inboard rear drive bearing and the inboard wheel bearing, within the hub drive interface . . .

When we started grinding our own beans for better coffee, we would buy a five pound bag from a "whole foods" distributor and keep them in the freezer. Years later, a couple people smarter and better informed than I am (my children) revealed that freezing coffee is ungood. Something to do with adverse effects related to carbon dioxide. There are a number of interesting solutions to store small quantities of fresh roasted beans in airtight containers to limit oxidaton. Some are pretty over the top, but this "Airscape" with the inner purging lid is pretty nifty . . . https://planetarydesign.com/product/airscape-coffee-canister/

Absolutely perfect for patches! Maybe you could get it in red.

This is true worldwide. Even the Japanese who engineered it had no idea what it would evolve into. I read a piece by the motorcycle designer, Glynn Kerr, in Motorcycle Consumer News discussing "corporate pride projects" that made no apparent marketing sense. He cited several examples, but the first GoldWing came to my mind. It was a rolling engineering display. Debuting in 1975, motorcycles were still known as noisy, leaking, vibrational contraptions with marginal brakes and dodgy electrics. This powerful, smooth flat four was more of a water cooled Porsche with clean, smooth and quiet shaft drive and strong triple disc brakes. The fuel tank was hidden under the seat such that the side panels of the faux "gas tank" hinged open, the left side displaying the neat and robust electrical system and the right held the detachable kick start lever - a tribute to a time gone by as the reliable electric starter would be the last word. All in all, it was a decidedly automotive presentation that the motorcycle community generally considered an answer to a question nobody had asked. Then folks bolted on a Vetter faring and boxes for cross country travel, put Momma on the back and started meeting others the next state over for hotcakes and bacon. Word spread and an entirely new motorcycle culture was born. Honda took note and almost immediately tamed the performance oriented motor in favor of parking lot manners, followed by the fabled factory weather protection and hard luggage. "The rest, as they say, is history" . . .

Merry Christmas, indeed!

Looking forward to a full report!

I've been using Caig DeOxit Gold for years now on all sots of electronics and electrical connections including audio equipment and the entire harnesses on the V11 Sport. Magical, really! A couple caveats: On the motorcycle harness, remove the waffled seals for DeOxit treatment and dry the cavities before reinstalling the seals. They will swell and could tear otherwise. I am "pretty sure" Caig makes a DeOxit product specifically for potentiometers (not the "Gold"). Worth investigating their website.

That would be only slightly off topic in the "Tube Amps" thread. Easy enough to move the post there . . .
