    Happy xmas all

Back at all-y'all! Christmas Eve here and loving the peace of this "Silent Night" . . . Best regards to everyone, and a very Merry Christmas, indeed.
  2. Looking forward to a full report!
  3. I've been using Caig DeOxit Gold for years now on all sots of electronics and electrical connections including audio equipment and the entire harnesses on the V11 Sport. Magical, really! A couple caveats: On the motorcycle harness, remove the waffled seals for DeOxit treatment and dry the cavities before reinstalling the seals. They will swell and could tear otherwise. I am "pretty sure" Caig makes a DeOxit product specifically for potentiometers (not the "Gold"). Worth investigating their website.
  4. That would be only slightly off topic in the "Tube Amps" thread. Easy enough to move the post there . . .
  5. Oh, boy! Talk about brand reverence, glad to see the 2024 Alfa Romeo Guilia . . .
  6. Nice Hagerty article on Jaguar styling changes of the past . . . https://www.hagerty.com/media/market-trends/hagerty-insider/5-of-jaguars-most-underrated-designs/?hashed_email=b4b94022c1bd45a1fa61becf3ab2e64665eaea4bd3297978c54e145dd672e019&dtm_em=b4b94022c1bd45a1fa61becf3ab2e64665eaea4bd3297978c54e145dd672e019
  7. This is what I think of when the SpineFrame V11 is called "heavy."
  8. I was watching for @Speedfrog to perform his unique locator talents on this one . . .
  9. That room is now known as "The Mil" at "Cannery Hall" . . . https://canneryhall.com/
  10. @Admin Jaap posted their original hit, Thunderstruck, some years ago. Still their best, IMO. I got to see them live in a small room in Nashville - they were a riot! Worth the re-post:
  11. +1 . . . success with the SealMate has impressed more than once.
  12. The first year (1975) GoldWing was a beast in a business suit - big valves, big carbs, hot cams. While it evolved into the touring bike everyone associates with "GoldWing", from the beginning it is an example of whatever the opposite of "nanar" would be . . .
  13. Haha, well, I had a Honda Pacific Coast for a couple years/ 11,000 miles. It was an excellent motorcycle, but hard to "connect" with as a "motorcyclist." Nanar? Absolutely. Almost everything Honda built 1988-1991 was "nanar." Some pretty cutting edge stuff, but struggled commercially. Only to find "cult status" later. My GB500 Tourist Trophy would be another good example of "nanar?" As well as my 2000 Moto Guzzi V11 Sport? edit: Curious that google translate does not recognize "nanar" as French, but translates it from Indonesian to English as "sad". 2nd edit: I remember my local Honda dealer telling me the GB500 was "the biggest dog Honda ever made. " In effect: he could not sell them or make any money on them. "nanar" = "dog" in this south'n US vernacular.
  14. Officially, the Winter Solstice in the Northern Hemisphere is tonight. While there are millennia of interpretations of this astronomical event, let's face it: it all comes down to the promise of light and hope returning, aka: planning ahead for the next great motorcycle ride/gathering . . . South'n Spine Raid XXI / 2025 Weekend after US Labor Day Tellico Plains, Tennessee, USA September 5-7, 2025 Get There. Bring Tools.
  15. It also occurs to me for you to contact our friend @Steve S in Malvern to see if he might have what you are looking for . . . https://www.v11lemans.com/forums/profile/8868-steve-s/
  16. @Flooky, Ebay from Germany: https://www.ebay.com/itm/401956588271?_skw=Moto+Guzzi+V11+LeMans+fender+number+plate+holder&itmmeta=01JFK9V9ANS8SR1MF9KGTDAD6F&hash=item5d967acaef:g:LMIAAOSw29ZdyxFW&itmprp=enc%3AAQAJAAABEHoV3kP08IDx%2BKZ9MfhVJKna13zpy8sjqTS4OUruCJ8M7x4hVObV0RheAl5lIRrf5yHbsfcWCqF7P2MCjdTSqHcoDQMqtBWaF0epRHq%2FDxGSVEqii9lsoC9Knk%2BFMyzlcH6aV2O2ldyPdvJFr3%2F560erU2jWMaYZxAeQbq9X3OpOYeQod8N1DAyz0rN%2FKfqjF2JJiJhu83uilBUlv26%2BDA9ElY8tZPRruMtwWfRuccGYcp5zmjTNNQfC4X8%2B30Brp6zQMmPYta2FX7wN60axY52ekZm%2FuXTunTOVVNH6Ppj6bhV4YWbFxZZ4sZ3HHy6SO8LSTCJqC94dHiM4x51bhI0eNCmN%2BZZSi8J50mbU5Da6|tkp%3ABFBMvJXt6fxk
  17. An extensive post by @Lucky Phil regarding the V11 fuel sensor: Also, his thorough thread on converting the manual fuel tap to a bona fide Lucky Phil EZY GLIDE version:
  18. Truly. I so appreciate this "thread". A "rock" song came on the radio the other day, very "vocal centric", but the drummer -ah "that drummer!" That is Neil Peart! This is RUSH! I would have not recognized it without this unexpected journey on a "motorcycle" forum. You guys rock (in so many ways!) Thanks for the journey!
  19. This reminds me of turning 100,000 miles on mySport and thinking it was a big deal (major "round number" ). We used to throw cars away at 100,000 miles because of wear. What was worn? EVERYTHING! Yet, our treasured international (read: metric) community here said, basically, "So you have 160,934 kilometers on your bike and you're throwing a party? Weird. Come back when you have an even 200,000 kays ." Something about the nature of our beings is given to these "round numbers."
  20. I know EXACTLY where I would put that Daytona in our living room. If my wife were not so taken with all this stuff people call "furniture" . . .
  21. Just a reminder: Please click "Report" on any messages, like that above, you receive through the forum's Message system. Thanks for helping keep us free of this sort of thing.
  22. The US national 55 mph speed limit was in force from 1974 to 1987. Even in 2000, when I purchased my V11 Sport, the vestigial "55" marker remained (thirteen years after the law sunsetted!). When I designed my Speedhut replacements, I decided to highlight 100 kph as 62 in the remaining 55 zones is generally acceptable by law enforcement and the motoring public. Plus, it's a nice round number where the tach needles lays in alignment in fifth gear whistling along . . .
