FWIW, sir ( @p6x), I find your Le Mans quite fine the way it sits . . . The way the valve cover, side cover, and tail fairing look like charcoal to the fire of the front fender, fairing, tank, and trailing flame of the seat panel ~ > ~ > ~ ~ ~ Magnifica !

. . . V11 Moto Guzzi content?
-
Those look like original 1999-2001 Sport signals to me . . . How about an image of your Sport, @SFTripod? I know these Italian-made signals were also used on the Buell. Were they also used on the early (1990s) Monster?

@Scud is The Keeper of the Springs. Use the "pm" (personal) message system to reach out to him by hovering over the username and clicking on "Message." @Chuck is currently looking for nine takers to make another run (#4?) of the LuckyPhil Shift Extender. Last count, I believe, was up to six . . .

Fascinating. This helps explain why my German from my very earliest youth in Bavaria, three years of "school French," ordering MexFood in Spanish, and keeping my Sport's service records in Italian have me no closer to even remote fluency. On the other hand, I have developed a repertoire of very bad accents in several languages.

Definitely the Tennessee Aquarium! Especially if the weather is hot and sweltering. There is also a steam train excursion from the Tennessee Valley Railroad Museum through a tunnel in Missionary Ridge. It’s not a long ride, but unique because of the coal burning locomotive that they turn on a turntable at the other end for the return. Have a great trip!

That is a really good point that flushing/"bleeding" the clutch might have an effect on the shifting. @KenBlake, what year/model and miles is your V11?
-
I'm not finding 40mm ID bushings from any of the common motorcycle suppliers, yet here are 40mm from @Pressureangle's link: https://www.hydraulicszone.com/mdu-040x044x012.html ($15US in parts plus $26 shipping, but $50 minimum order.) There is also the thickness (44mm OD) and width (12 mm) to consider. Seems like 40mm Marzocchi would have been very common on 1990s Ducatis?

Be certain the external shift assembly is properly adjusted and the lever does not strike anything (like the Frame Side Plate). There is another spring (of three) that re-centers the lever. It could need attention, as well. Perhaps, it was installed backward. See Image 7 in the first post of the link below . . . @Lucky Phil produced this fabulous tutorial:

Alright, a couple more points and I'll pipe down . . . What year/miles is your V11, @KenBlake? There was a recall on the early Sports 1999-2001. Click here to view the recall notice and serial number range. Shims for the inboard side of the lever pivot: And, finally, @Lucky Phil's outstanding "How to . . ."
-
Here is an image from inboard showing the lock nut without the pesky swingarm in the way: Also shown is the zinc chromate green LuckyPhill/Chuck-made shift extender. There is current interest in a new run of these (highly recommended!):
-
I should be able to find a tutorial with an image of that procedure, but it will be a few hours before I can post it. edit: Well, here is the image, at least. The idea is to get the arms parallel to one another and perpendicular to the connecting rod. Check all the fasteners for tightness. Remove the long pivot bolt (mind the inboard lock nut), clean and grease. Adjust the tension for no binding, or excessive play, and anchor it with the inboard lock nut. I found my pivot benefited from a shim between the shift lever and the inboard frame bracket. Make certain the lever itself is not striking the frame side plate on the downshift or anything above on the upshift.

I'm guessing the V11 forks changed to 43mm with the LongFrame in 2002? Maybe no 43mm forks until 2003 . . . The early V11 Sport forks are 40mm.
-
Got to find an equivalent US supplier . . . These 'Zokes are "40mm", IIRC.
-
Thanks for the encouragement. Harpers shows the Guzzi part (that does not mean they have them) for $41US. Each. Ouch.
-
Yeah, well, then I'll have to hire somebody to replace them. Pretty sure that is out of my pay grade.
-
I have a heavy 3/4” drive socket that is 50mm OD that looks to be a good fit. I recently used it to set the front wheel bearings and they are 52mm. I’ll get a look at the “DU style” bushes, as well, but likely won’t change them out this go-round unless they are awful. ( and they well could be . . .)
-
Very mysterious. Could it be a custom-made one-off?
-
Thanks for the detailed difference between the early and later V11 forks. What are "DU style coated bushes?"
-
Cool. Stand by for a dedicated thread on your LeMans. Let me know if you want a different title . . . https://www.v11lemans.com/forums/index.php?/topic/24777-2003-lemans-come-back/

Yeah, I keep seeing 40-41mm seal drivers applicable to my 40mm fork seals. Truth?
-
My seal leak is "better" but not acceptable. MySport has the early 40mm Marzocchi. MotionPro only lists 39mm and 41mm seal drivers. Can I use the 41? https://www.motionpro.com/product/08-0489

Hey, okay . . . thanks for the intro. You could not be in a better place to sort out that needy LeMans. You can count on us to throw in. (We cain't he'p ourselves . . . ) I think this LeMans deserves a thread of its own. I can split these posts off and start one for you, @cory464 . . . [edit: done]

I see a handful of little things on that to raise an eyebrow. Starting with: the seller is not the owner, but a dealer that thinks it has a 5 speed gearbox. So: no actual knowledge of what it is. Or maybe even where it has been. A few notables: Significant abrasion on the tail faring (image 18) in an odd topside edge. Silver hand levers instead of the original bronze. Unpainted (red) lettering on the valve covers with replacement gaskets. Unpainted oil cooler brackets. Wrinkled right header pipe joining the crossover: Clean? Somewhat . . . "Super clean?" Not really. Worth it? That, my friend, is the $6500 question!

Those are really small female connectors. And they would be bare if you remove them. Seems better to replace them with a quality fuse holder if you are intent on separating them from the existing fuse block. So, it turns out it is your #3 Regulator/Charging fuse that the PO removed and modified the wiring?
