Yeah, stand by for a minute or so. This hose leaks from the top down. if your leak is low on the right, the oil cooler line connections to the sump, or the sump tightness/gaskets are suspect.

Actually @O2 V11 is referring to the formed rubber line that gathers crankcase ventilation behind the motor at the top of the clutch housing and carries it forward, under the frame spine to connect to the bottom of the spine of the frame behind the headstock. This hose is notorious for degrading and leaking. Sometimes, it can simply be tightened to the crankcase vent pipe. There are other common leak sources. Where is your leak showing up: right/left, front of the motor vs back, top of the motor or bottom?

FWIW, I used the metal dipstick for a while, but disliked having to use a tool to remove it. Back to the plastic original for at least the last fifteen years.

I know folks that have been involved with that rally over the years. There is some great riding along the Kentucky-Tennessee border. Don't miss the Turkey Neck Bend Ferry over the Cumberland River. I love taking mySport on ferries . . . http://www.monroecountykytourism.com/cumberland-river-ferry.html -
There was a gap of 4-6 years between De Tomaso and Ivano Beggio while Moto Guzzi was under holding company management beginning with Finprogetti 1994-96, then Trident Rowan Group '96-'99 or 2000. The exact dates are hard to verify. Curiously, the V11 was developed and released under this management, before Aprilia. Even more curious how the design of the V11 Sport (drawn single handedly, in one night, by Luciano Marabese) was adopted and put into production as Marabese had said he produced the design "unasked for." Apparently, Marabese and Beggio had a close relationship, so I ponder whether Beggio had significant influence at Moto Guzzi before he took over in 2000.

I just now had to repeat this procedure on the left fork after one year and 5,000 miles/ 8.000 km. This time, my buddy @Josh suggested putting some white grease at the cleaned seal and bounce the forks several times so that any dirt gets trapped in the grease. I used the (amazing) Shin Etsu rubber grease. The seal stopped weeping over the last 24 hours. We shall see . . .

So, this happened about five years/ 25,000 miles ago. The aluminum threads pulled out of the motor side when I was doing up the fastener. I used a "Recoil" repair kit from my local Fastenal store. Thanks for the recommendation, @gstallons!

Yes, yes! This very V11! A very special "metticio" . . . And with this very interesting exhaust. @v11_meticcio

37.8 miles/US gallon is very good fuel economy for a V11. What is the (US) octane rating of your Ethanol free fuel?

I am not sure what the "black plastic" part of our Ignition Switch is actually made of. I tried to figure out what "dental adhesive" might be, chemically. Possibly a cyanoacrylate, not sure. Further unsure that would be the compatible adhesive for the Ignition Switch "black plastic." Do the layers of "dental adhesive" peel off with a dental pick?

Gotta love that the Otto Cylindri gets warmed up at the V11's redline . . .

Is there room for a steel reinforced epoxy like JB Weld?
-
Haha, well, I'm not much of a "multi" guy, but really want to love the Otto Cylindri. I recall inspecting a rendition of the Moto Guzzi Otto Cylindri at an exhibit of the Guggenheim's "Art of the Motorcycle." It was fascinating to trace how all eight (maybe 14 or 15mm) open exhaust tubes traced their ways, individually, through the sinews of the motorcycle. I so longed to hear their song, thinking it must be orchestral, like eight horns of a "horn section". No digital capture will ever replicate that sonority. (Be it known that V8 afflicted me from an early and impressionable age) . . .

I sometimes refer to my GB as "Afternoon Delight " (Other times, "Tiny Dancer ") . . . they are just sweet little things that offer up a surprisingly spritely treat. Sometimes the contrast with mySport reminds me of unplugging the Fender bass, turning off the Bassman amp, and picking up the fiddle...
